The Opportunity:

CACI's Agile Digital Solutions Operating Group is searching for individuals who can deliver application development and support for NASA's enterprise business systems. CACI is hiring an Applications and Platforms Operations Center (APOC) Manager who is our single point of contact for NASA's Tier 1 Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) and Ops Centers. Our APOC Manager leads teams consisting of Managers, Team Leads, and Operators, improve enterprise transparency, cross-contract collaboration via ServiceNow, and efficiency by reducing the O&M workload across Agile Teams.

In this role, you will deliver and sustain capabilities in a fast-paced SAFe agile development environment. Additionally, you will be collaborating on systems and solutions supporting large portfolios from business, analysis, technical, systems, data, and enterprise functions.

Responsibilities:

  • The APOC provides:

  • 24x7x365 centralized performance, health, and capacity monitoring and event management across multiple applications and platforms using Dynatrace, emphasizing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles such as predictive analytics, proactive remediation, and self-healing.

  • Enhanced observability through incident triage, escalation to Tier 3 (Agile Product and Shared Services Teams), and ticket management through resolution; incident SLA monitoring; and incident resolution based on Agile Team-provided knowledge articles and Standard Operating procedures.

  • Establishing escalation processes with cross functional teams, vendors, and EOM (Tier 4) Teams.

  • Outage coordination and Critical situation response that including cross-program troubleshooting, outreach to on-call staff, vendor/OEM (Tier 4) escalation, and program communications to end users.

  • Chaos engineering practices by conducting problem investigations for any unplanned outages, recurring application performance issues proactively and reactively detected via monitoring tools, or at the request of the Government.

  • Collaboration with Vendor/EOM Tier 4 on problem management outputs that feed into demand intake process to enhance end user experience.

  • Master change and outage calendar management-providing transparency to NCAPS, NASA, and OCIO Enterprise Contractor stakeholders.

  • Collaboration with our Applications and Platforms Security Operations Center (APSOC), which centralizes our security incident response process, provides spillage management and sanitization expertise, and interfaces with other NASA activities.

  • Experience managing operations in an Agile environment and familiarity with DevSecOps, SRE, and Agile processes and/or tools.

  • Experience with microservices architecture, service mesh technologies, and Kubernetes for scalable and resilient system design.

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible for efficient infrastructure management.

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for faster and more reliable deployments.

  • Experience with Mature Change Management, Configuration Management, Release Management and Deployment in production environments.

  • Understanding of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) for integrating predictive analytics and self-healing systems.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (will consider experience in lieu of education)

  • 10 or more years of experience running 24/7/365 Enterprise GOTS/COTS applications, services, infrastructure, and systems.

  • 10 or more years of experience managing large cross functional teams (50+ employees).

  • 10 or more years of experience in measuring, tracking, improving, and reporting on SLR/SLA's/KPI's

  • 5 or more years of experience working Enterprise ITSM Business Processes.

  • ITIL v. 4 Experience with Enterprise Systems that includes but not limited to:

  • Event and Incident Management

  • Release and deployment

  • Enterprise Change Management experience

  • Available for after-hours calls/incident management

  • Experience managing large, multi-shift based teams

  • Demonstrated experience leading managers as well as support staff

  • Managed a current operations organization that focuses on event and incident management

  • Experience in monitoring tools with a focus on ITIL capabilities.

  • Must be willing to pass NASA background investigation and/or obtain a DOD Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

Desired:

  • ITIL v4 Certification

  • 8570 Certification

  • Agile Certification

  • Located in Huntsville, AL or Washington, DC or travel to site location as needed

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,100-$171,900
