The Team:

The Cyber Defense and Incident Response team operates within the Corporate Information Security and Privacy Organization and are a critical function within Live Nation Entertainment. We specialize in detecting and responding to adverse events within our global network and provide snap response times to mitigate the impact of potential threats.

The Role:

As a member of the Cyber Defense and Incident Response team, you will help engineer information workflows and improve incident response processes and procedures. You will help coordinate incident response and containment activities as well as monitor and track actions to completion and provide liaison support between the internal team and senior leadership.

You will work with a team that shares a common goal - continuously seeking ways to enhance current detection and response capabilities and assist with the development of new IR documentation and execution of the IR program strategic roadmap.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Design, test and improve information and workflow processes for the Cyber Defense and Incident Response team

  • Maintain and update the incident response program as needed and ensures it meets industry regulations and aligns with relevant privacy laws

  • Drive integration with cross-functional teams and business partners to ensure consistency and alignment

  • Leads meetings with business partners to understand and define requirements

  • Engages and manages executive-level partner and stakeholder relationships to identify desired deliverables as needed

  • Champion the development of process documentation to ensure consistent and scalable response operations, and ensure continuous improvement to the company's incident response plan based on what we learn from each incident and exercise

  • Develop, manage and deliver team metrics and objectives to senior leadership as required

  • Deliver team and executive-level briefings through various forms of communication to ensure timely reports and updates to leadership during and after an event

  • Develop, coordinate and deliver post-incident briefings, analysis, and reporting as required to include lessons learned, after-action reports and track remediation plans to closure

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Expert experience leading technical projects with a high degree of success

  • Ability to think critically and evaluate current processes with an understanding of how they integrate with cross-functional teams and business partners

  • Utilize industry frameworks to identify and enhance inefficient processes and drill into root cause analysis to affect change at the core

  • Experience designing and implementing processes and tools to improve incident handling and resolution

  • Exceptional communication ability, in writing and verbally; succinctly document technical details

  • Ability to develop and implement incident response planning, orchestration and communication

  • General knowledge of IT environments, including but not limited to scope reduction, network devices, technical implementation, and asset management

  • Knowledgeable in business industry standard security incident response process, procedures, and lifecycle

  • Manage relationships with business partners, management, vendors, and external parties

  • Deep understanding of security threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

  • Strong negotiation, influence, mediation & conflict management skills

  • Travel is at a minimum, but some domestic and international travel is required

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience developing and creating technical documentation

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in developing strategic incident response initiatives with an emphasis in process optimization

  • Experience interfacing with executive-level leadership

  • Experience influencing and negotiating with external vendors

  • Industry credentials related to cyber security or business process management required

  • Familiarity with security standards NIST Cyber Security Framework, NIST SP800-61 R2 and ISO/IEC 27035

  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours which may occur over weekends and holidays in support of incidents as needed

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a U.S. government security clearance if requested

  • Strong sense of moral character, high-ethical standards and accountability

  • Have a global mind-set for working with different cultures and backgrounds

  • Highly investigative mindset with the ability to detect patterns across seemingly unrelated events

  • Highly meticulous with exceptional attention to detail

  • Analytical and strategic mindset to overcome obstacles and solve complex problems

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner

  • Self-driven, self-disciplined to perform tasks and complete projects with little to no supervision with a high sense of duty

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, additional languages is a plus

  • Exceptional ability to remain calm under stress

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Flexible and responsive to changing situations

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
