A Day in the Life of a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator:
As a Liberty Military Housing LMS Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration of training content for internal users of the Learning Management System (LMS). Additionally, you will provide administrative support and accountability for the LMS including daily administration, reporting, employee inquiries/education on the LMS, and consult with internal customers serving as the subject matter expert for continuing operations of the system to serve the learning needs of the organization.
Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Fully understands LMS capabilities with breadth and depth and provides ongoing maintenance of the LMS and all supporting tools, content, and technologies;
Maintains security roles, user accounts, training assignments, groups, and all system notifications;
Manages the testing and evaluation of new enhancements and tools that integrate with the LMS; keeps the team informed; manages release/patch calendar;
Pro-actively seeks to understand how new updates could benefit future development and how changes to the platform may affect current processes;
Creates systems and workflows to ensure that all course resources are properly set up and available;
Develops, builds and maintains all elements related to LMS functionality, including but not limited to content integrations and creation, curriculum programs, and LMS structure;
Provides help resources and training guides including instructional videos, how-to guides, and FAQs related to the usage of the LMS, instructional technology, and documents relevant data about each external learning tool in a central repository;
Ensures training content is running properly at all times without interruption, quality degradation, and without experiencing any avoidable technical issues that could diminish the overall user experience;
Collaborates with the Instructional Designers to translate Operational rollouts and procedures into compelling and effective training material (video, e-learning courses, etc.);
Uses technical writing skills to develop curricula and instructional materials including, participant guides, facilitator guides, job-aids, quick-reference guides, and other blended learning formats by following course naming guidelines, and content maintenance policies and schedules;
Maintains and supports all e-learning assets on the LMS; Reviews all training material that have been deployed through the LMS on a regular basis;
Provides front-line end-user troubleshooting, facilitates the escalation of LMS technical issues, monitors reoccurring issues, system/data or process gaps and pro-actively identifies potential sources;
Monitor Training and Development inbox and respond or delegate issues.
Develops reports that are concise, intuitive, and actionable for organizational usage, completion, satisfaction, and other critical learning and content metrics;
Other duties as assigned.
What You Need for Success:
Bachelor's Degree preferred, or a combination of education and direct relevant experience will be considered.
Experience with LMS administration, configuration, scheduling, enrollment, content loading, delivery, testing, and performance tracking to assure learning programs are effectively managed and delivered.
Successful candidates must have strong project management skills; ability to prioritize projects and deadlines and clearly communicates status, progress, and constraints with stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work with cross functional teams in a multi-faceted environment is critical.
Strong experience in Microsoft Excel and Articulate Storyline/Camtasia.
Experienced with Web-hosting and facilitating virtual meetings.
Knowledge of learning and development best practices.
Excellent leadership and professional presentation skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Hospitality and or Property Management experience a plus.
Must be able to deal with a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment, including handling multiple tasks on a daily basis.
Ability to lift up to a maximum of 30lbs.
Position requires use of personal/company vehicle, ability to travel to multiple locations, must have valid driver's license.
This position requires anywhere from 20-30% travel based on national needs. This includes travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings and other work-related activities.
