You will be the Subcontract Administrator Staff for the Operations Support Team. Our team is responsible for executing and managing site support for the facility. We are under the Southeast Materials Acquisition Center (SEMAC) which is a centralized buying center supporting the Missiles and Fire Control Business Area.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Subcontract Administrator Staff, you will be responsible for developing subcontract specifications, reviewing work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of large construction projects and specialized materials, long lead equipment, and services for subcontracts in support of development, production, and global sustainment for multiple contract types. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepares bid packages for procurements, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends general contractors and subcontractors, writes subcontract packages for review, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts.
  • Negotiates terms and conditions and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
  • Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.
  • Performs analysis of previous/current contracts, pricing, and trends to ensure reasonable prices and suggests changes as necessary.
  • Resolves vendor disputes, contract / invoicing discrepancies, and performance issues.
  • May sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.
  • Some travel and on-site presence may be required as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience buying under the guidelines of FAR/DFAR, LMAP, CAP, and other acquisition policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of building trades, materials, industrial gases, machinery, equipment, maintenance, and various service contracts
  • Proactive with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to manage challenging workload effectively and efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Self-starter and excellent team player
  • Strong computer skills and experience in SAP or equivalent system
  • Willingness to travel as required

Desired Skills:

  • Construction procurement experience in a high volume environment, procurement experience, effective negotiation skills, strong analytical skills, customer-focused, and team-oriented
  • Working knowledge of the (FAR) Federal Acquisition Regulations, (LMAP) Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures as well as (CAP) Commercial Acquisition Procedures.
  • Strong understanding of accurate record-keeping and compliance concepts
  • Experience performing analysis of current contracts, pricing, and trends to ensure reasonable prices
  • Experience validating supplier invoices and resolving receiving issues

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
