Commercial Sales Manager
General functions
Our growing business is looking for a Commercial Sales Manager to increase sales in our Greater Atlanta area. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. Profitably sell products and services to existing and potential customers, while maintaining existing customer book of business.
Essential responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
Commercial Sales Process
Manage, retain and expand existing commercial customer relationships by selling the portfolio of products and services.
Create and execute customer action plans
Generate and qualify new leads and opportunities through scheduled appointments and prospecting efforts
Contact and qualify prospects to establish commercial relationship
Assign prospects to correct commercial portfolio
Utilize sales and marketing materials in managing customer and prospect relationships
Collect and validate customer email addresses to support email campaigns
Manage and document customer and prospect relationships using CRM
Execute commercial sales process and provide feedback for process improvement
Achieve sales plans
Reporting
Analyze and action commercial sales and activity reports
Annually, prepare and submit competitor comparison analysis
Customer Service
Coordinate with stores to provide customer service, order management and delivery support
Foster team culture with the store, providing commercial training as needed
Communicate customer and prospect information to stores to ensure they understand relationship
Prepare, deliver and follow-up product and service proposals to customers and prospects
Execute customer and prospect communication plan including telephone calls, follow up calls, emails, thank you's, and other print communication
Initiate and promote B2B ordering where appropriate
Support
Comply with commercial customer pricing policy
Reactivate lost or inactive customers
Assist accounts receivable in collection activities
Maintain strong understanding of competitors' capabilities and general market conditions
Prepare special pricing and bid quotes as requested
Qualifications
Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
2-5 years' work experience in sales, work experience must include 2 - 3 years in direct face to face B2B sales, Batteries Plus retail store experience a plus
Working understanding of Microsoft Office and capable of adapting learning to incorporate new technology. Strong knowledge and proficiency in Excel
Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must use considerable judgment in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice
Strong attention to detail and accuracy; thorough knowledge of business plans and budgets
Ability to communicate using both oral and written means. Ability to make presentations to small groups of employers, owners, or customers
Strong customer service, relationship building and problem resolution skills. Must possess excellent prospecting, negotiating, follow up and closing skills
Ability to calculate algebraic expressions, percentage, ratios, and measurements
Must be process oriented, have the ability to execute BP sales process, and follow directions; must be open to new ideas, coachable, and have a team spirit
Ability to work autonomously, and in a team environment. Ability to take ownership of a project, handle multiple projects/tasks and lead a project team to desired results. Strongly motivated with sense of urgency
Highly energetic and a self- starter
Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
Working environment

This position requires the employee to regularly stand/walk, sit, use hands to handle or touch, and talk or hear and occasionally lift up to fifty pounds.
The position also requires the employee to regularly use a computer, phone, fax, copier and other standard office equipment.
While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock. The level of noise in the working environment is moderate.
