The contract this positions is for supports a field engineering office with a worldwide presence. Our applications and technical contributions are part of our customer's mission as soon as development and testing is completed. Members of this contract have the chance to learn and help shape how our customer responds to real world technological advances- and the feedback for implementing change in the field is real-time. No demonstrated experience is required
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
Four (4) years of software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Preferred:
One or more years of JAVA programming experience of presentation tiers
Familiarity with JavaScript and Spring desired
Experience with JSP and servlet programming
Experience with JEE and enterprise web applications design and development
Experience designing and writing REST-ful applications
Ability to create and deploy applications in an Apache Tomcat web server
Experience with Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
Experience with Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience programming on Linux platforms
Experience using one or more of the following revision control applications: git, Subversion (SVN), CVS, ClearCase
Experience generating and documenting design specifications of system-level components in a UML-based tool (e.g. Confluence/Gliffy)
Experience with test-driven development
Familiarity with Perl, Oracle, MySQL, and/or PL/SQL
