WHO ARE WE?

Glow is the longest running electronic music event promotions and production company on the East Coast. Established in 1999, Glow now organizes over 300 events per year at their venues Echostage and Soundcheck in Washington, DC. Fans voted Echostage as DJ Mag's #1 North American nightclub for three consecutive years. Alongside their venues, Glow has hosted numerous large-scale events and festivals along the eastern seaboard including Moonrise Festival and Preakness Infield Festival.

THE ROLE

Glow is looking for a Production Manager to provide excellent concert experiences for our clientele in Washington, DC. The Production Manager will operate primarily out of Soundcheck and be responsible for owning the house production upkeep and maintenance. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and own responsibility for upkeep and maintenance of all house production

  • Advance production needs for all shows

  • Oversee lighting direction for venue

  • Order all support materials and goods for shows

  • Produce a working budget for all production upkeep and improvements

  • Create and maintain a map and inventory of all venue lighting and sound

  • Create and manage vendor contact sheets

  • Bid out all projects to find the best possible pricing options

  • Track all expenses and report to manager(s)

  • Recruit, train and onboard members on the team both directly and partnering teams

  • Other special projects and tasks as assigned as needed

  • Some travel may be required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in venue production

  • 2+ years of experience in production management

  • Passion for music of all kinds of genres

  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in Microsoft Office

  • Proficient in budgeting and analyzing event operations excel spreadsheets

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

  • Must be able to work adaptable hours

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

  • Must be willing to travel for work events during holidays, evening, and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
