Overview
The Network Engineering Manager position will be responsible for all aspects of the corporate network switches, routers, VPN, and wireless devices. This position will manage a team of network engineers as well as manage relationships with telecommunication, unified communication, and data center teams to design and troubleshoot any cross-platform solutions. This position is responsible for current and future network architecture, design, planning and implementation. The Network Engineering Manager will also provide input to strategic decisions affecting the corporate network. The Network Engineering Manager will establish policies and procedures that are current with industry standards for maximum uptime while adhering to security policies.
This is a remote (work from home) position
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Responsible for overall network management and performance of switches, firewalls, VPN and wireless.
Manage a team of engineers.
Responsible for network architecture and design.
Manage network documentation.
Provide technical network consultation and guidance for IT entities.
Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations.
Capable of coordination with other departments.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent .
CCNA Certification required; CCNP preferred.
Enterprise Network experience working with Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, and Fortinet.
Knowledge of trends in technology.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Prior experience with network design and implementation planning.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Prior experiencemanaging people.
