We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

This position is for a Transportation and Installation (T&I) Project Manager to represent Dominion Energy for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project. The CVOW project entails the construction and installation of 176 wind turbine generators and three offshore substations; as well as, associated cables and equipment 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The T&I Project Manager will report to the Manager - Site Construction, Offshore Wind. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of the T&I package. Close day to day interaction with other CVOW package managers, site construction team, and the Commissioning Manager. The T&I Manager will be required to ensure all equipment is transported, installed, and commissioned as required in a timely manner. The candidate will be required to work with the T&I prime contractor to ensure the equipment transportation, installation, and commissioning activities meet the Owner's requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas.

  • Experience in offshore wind construction, maritime construction, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.

  • Good knowledge of marine, mechanical, electrical, and controls system.

  • Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) as required.

  • Proficient with interpreting technical drawings, documents & management reports.

  • Ability to lead and manage multiple work fronts.

Other work requirement considerations:

  • Ability to obtain GWO certification.

  • Working in an offshore environment.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor
