POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Technician inspects, troubleshoots and maintains the customers vacuum pumps, blowers and related process equipment on site at assigned customer locations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform scheduled or assigned on-site inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing of the company's vacuum and low pressure pumps, blowers and systems
Coordinate efforts and assist customer with technical product support, resolution of customer issues problems and complaints, troubleshooting and training
Conduct assigned warranty evaluations and submit all warranty related documentation.
Complete and submit all necessary documentation and reports for assigned field activities
Assist customer with on-site equipment startup and operator training
Maintain/manage a customer database, records, files and reports using Busch approved software and programs including Busch CRM
Complete scheduled and unplanned maintenance on abatement scrubbers
Perform helium leak checks on vacuum lines to ensure integrity of the vacuum system

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): RequiredAssociate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Mechanical or Electrical focus: Preferred
Experience: 3 plus years technical, electrical, and mechanical experience: Required Ability to read electrical schematics: RequiredExperience in a Service or Field Service role: PreferredMust have a good understanding of basic vacuum principles in order to analyze customer related problems and provide solutions: PreferredBasic knowledge of semiconductor and solar equipment: PreferredAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair, service and maintain rotating equipment or similar equipment: Required
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience: Preferred
Certifications & Licenses: Must maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Climate controlled and non-climate controlled warehouse/ shop/ manufacturing environments with moderate noise levels, moderate exposure to dust and fumes with occasional ladder use. Will work close to mechanical moving parts that may be extremely hot, may need to work in tight and closed spaces.
