Summary

The MOD digital marketing team is looking for a Customer Analytics Manager as we gear up for continued growth. This role will be primarily responsible for helping MOD leadership make strategic, analytically supported decisions by providing relevant and timely insights into MOD customers' behavior. If you are a proactive problem-solver who loves working with data and engaging others to tell persuasive stories, you will thrive in this position.

As part of the team, you will play a key role in broadening the digital marketing team's impact and reach. A typical week might see you dive into the performance and impact of a MOD Rewards offer, dig through customer purchase patterns to find insights that inform targeted marketing, develop customer segmentations, or create analytics dashboards to help our executive team quickly understand our best customers' engagement.

The Customer Analytics Manager will report directly to the Director of Loyalty & CRM Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customer analysis (MOD Rewards offer performance, segmentation, customer analysis) to unearth insights to drive marketing strategy

  • Build and maintain reporting on customer behavior to drive cross functional understanding of MOD customer behavior patterns

  • Collaborate with the Finance team to validate the financial impact of marketing offers

  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to enhance our customer database

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree (in mathematics, economics, computer science, information management, statistics, or related field)

  • 3+ years of progressive experience with building data models, data mining, segmentation, business reporting and database design development

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Curiosity and passion for mining data, finding insights, and storytelling

  • Sense of ownership and can-do attitude

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel

  • Desire to flourish in a sometimes ambiguous, fast-paced, high-growth environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with modern data visualization software such as Tableau

  • Experience with programming languages such as SQL

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)

  • Retail industry experience

  • Previous roles involving data science

Physical Requirements

Office work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time, in front of a computer and using a keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force to frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
