LEAD, INTERN PROGRAM & UNIVERSITY RECRUITING
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing the SpaceX Internship program and University Recruiting functions.
Lead a team of direct reports, specifically responsible for setting and driving team strategy and work priorities, as well as managing performance and skill development of direct reports.
Recruit, interview, and place interns into positions that best meet the needs of the intern and the business.
Innovate and improve existing internship and university recruiting processes.
Manage internship headcount forecasting and approval.
Develop and maintain a robust onboarding and training program for interns.
Ensure that all interns have a developmentally rich experience and are receiving appropriate mentorship and support.
Build and maintain liaison with various universities.
Develop outreach methods that build relationships with schools and community partners.
Coordinate events for local and non-local campus visits.
Connect virtually with students through various recruiting platforms such as Piazza, Handshake, etc.
Ensure that all candidates have a positive experience while engaging with SpaceX recruiting teams.
Develop a strong partnership with the recruiting department to maintain a recruiting pipeline of qualified applicants.
Assist the recruiting team with special projects as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
2 years of recruiting experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of professional experience in a marketing, event planning, human resources, sales, customer service, or administrative capacity.
Experience in a leadership role.
Minimum GPA of 3.2.
Experience with Piazza, Handshake or other university recruiting platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple on-going projects, be flexible to change, and adapt to shifting priorities.
Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a strong passion to contribute to the team's success and to work with a high sense of urgency.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, including senior management, both one-on-one basis and in groups.
Capacity to learn and speak intelligently about our business and the space industry.
