Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Machine Operators for projects located in Cedar Rapids, IA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $20/hour based on experience and skill level plus $100/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Working with Copper materials
Operation of a splitter pack and/or tandem machine
Casting operation work
Calculate the width of the metal
Set up machine and cut metal to size
Use a machine to flatten metal to specific thickness
Run machine monitoring the metal for defects
Work with a team to melt metal into 20 x 5 bars
Use overhead crane to lift the bars out of the furnace until they're at a usable temperature
Heavy industrial work
Palletize the spools then wrap them on a conveyor packaging machine
Requirements
Must have 1 year of heavy manufacturing experience and 1 year of forklift experience
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
