In the Director in Training (DIT) role, we look for committed individuals who want to have a positive impact in the lives of children and their families, while learning to efficiently run all school operations. The DIT works alongside the Center Director to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children and work with the staff to create a warm, inspiring environment, while keeping parents informed and engaged. The DIT will shadow an existing Director to learn company systems and best practices before moving to their own school.
As a Director in Training, you will:
Lead! Manage school staff by planning work schedules, evaluating staff performance, and developing performance improvement plans. Assist with the implementation of Company-provided curriculum, which includes coaching, communicating, and interpreting standards with teachers.
Promote! Ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards, while promoting a positive partnership within the surrounding community.
Innovate! Spark imagination, build self-esteem, and help children discover new things each day in an educational, caring, and safe environment.
Build! Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
Learn! Receive training and support from our awesome leadership to team to grow with the company.
Job Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School diploma or equivalent.
CDA, associate, or bachelor's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Must meet state education and experience requirements for child care director.
1-2 years of supervisory/management experience; experience in early childhood education strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation based on Position, Education and Experience. Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options.
Director in Training: Yearly Salary $55,000 - $60,000
Health insurance (medical, dental, vision, and FSA) provided for full-time employees
Education assistance including tuition reimbursement and certification, 401K (plus company match), life and disability insurance and child care discount available to all employees
All employees in Colorado are eligible for paid sick leave, as required by the Healthy Families Work Act. Full-time employees are provided with 48 hours upon hire and annually each fiscal year thereafter.
