We are seeking a talented Guidance, Navigation & Tracking Engineer to support the continued enhancement of the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) interceptor missile and ground system.
The PAC-3 family of missiles are the only combat proven Hit-to-Kill interceptors that defend against incoming threats, including tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aircraft through direct body-to-body contact delivering exponentially more kinetic energy on the target than can be achieved with blast-fragmentation kill mechanisms. What You Will Be Doing
As the GNC Engineer, you will impact everything from flight test prediction to integration & test. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Support the integration, test, verification, and validation of the system and various subsystems, including ground system fire control algorithms, missile guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms, and actual Operational Flight Program code with C++ and FORTRAN models of weapons, sensors, ground systems, and environments through the 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS), Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL) Lab and actual flight tests.
- Participate in flight test prediction and data performance analysis for multiple flights.
- Work with a team to develop robust algorithms to improve system performance.
- Support system performance assessments and trade studies.
This role will require onsite support full-time at Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control headquarters in Grand Prairie, TX working a 4/10 Flex schedule. This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must currently possess an active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an
accredited college in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Experience with a high-level programming
languages such as FORTRAN or C++.
- 6DOF Performance simulations of aircraft or missile systems.
Desired Skills:
- MATLAB, C++, and FORTRAN.
- Algorithms for guidance, autopilots, signal processing, and/or fire control.
- Experience with the PAC-3 missile family of products.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
