Position summary: Responsible for performing all phases of architectural work from conceptual design through construction administration.
Essential functions and responsibilities
Assist project teams in development of the aesthetic and technical design and preparation of architectural design and construction documents
Utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans - specifically CAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit
Conduct code research
Ensure quality control reviews throughout project completion
Collaborate with designers, consultants, and staff to meet clients' goals
Independently apply advanced architectural concepts and designs
Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client's needs
Provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staff
Participate in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project
Can be relied upon to present directly to the client on technical and design solutions
Coordinate with Project Manager to directly supervise the teams' design and technical delivery

Required Skills
Experience with computer-assisted design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Required Experience
Bachelors of Science In Architecture or Bachelors of Architecture
10+ years of experience
Preferred Experience
Masters of Architecture
Pursuing Professional Architect License
LEED AP accreditation preferred.
Experience in education, transportation, and community architecture
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
