JMT's Technology Group is seeking a Helpdesk intern to assist the Helpdesk in all areas of end user support as needed in the Corporate Hunt Valley Office. This involves assistance in Computer Deployment, Computer updates, Software updates and requests to the Helpdesk. This would include acting as a team member on various projects assigned to the Helpdesk. Sponsorship is not provided for this position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Software updates - Assist in the deployment of new software and software updates

  • Documentation - document calls to the helpdesk, procedures for end users and new technology as needed

  • HelpDesk Support - answer HelpDesk calls and assist or escalate as necessary

  • Computer Deployment - Image, configure and deliver computers

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with end users over the phone and in person

  • Qualified candidate will have a professional demeanor and high level customer service and multi-tasking skills

Required Experience

  • Qualified candidate would be working toward a bachelors degree in Information systems or related Information Technology curriculum

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 80 to 90% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
