Unpaid Internship (school credit only), 15-20 hours per week (Part-Time), Requires some evenings & weekends.
THE TEAM
The Insights and Analytics Team at Ticketmaster is a highly skilled and collaborative team that identifies opportunities for improvements to product features and drives overall revenue by innovating new ways to look at data and providing analysis and insights. Members of the Insights and Analytics Team partner with business teams across multiple functions including Product, Design, Sales, Marketing, Strategy, & Finance providing analyses covering fan insights, ticket sales, shopping behavior, site analytics, incremental revenue streams, venue/client analysis, and customer lifetime value.
THE JOB
We are seeking an Intern to help drive consumer understanding and empathy into the organization's goals and culture. As a Research and Insights Intern you will have the opportunity to learn from a nimble Insights team how to leverage research with big impact in a large company. Working across the entire organization - Product + Design + Tech (B2B and B2C), Strategy + Marketing - your mission will be to support Ticketmaster in existing research efforts that generate a holistic understanding of fan needs, desires, motivations and aspirations through primary research and statistical analysis.
WHAT YOU WILL BE LEARNING UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF TRAINED EMPLOYEES
Work with large data sets to help provide analyses covering ticket sales, cross-channel subscription and shopping behavior, site analytics, and venue/client analysis
Profile data in the key sakes databases, document results of data profiling, identify data integrity issues
Support ad hoc data requests
Analyze data through exploratory data analyses to solve business questions and identify areas for optimization and automation
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)
Able to write and run SQL queries to pull data required
Prior experience in relational databases
Python experience preferred
Prior experience in data QA and user testing preferred
Strong interest and skills in problem solving and issue resolution
Strong commitment to project deadlines, be comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment, and with multitasking
Ability to partner with people of diverse skillsets, understand their use case, and work to provide data driven strategic business insight
