The Role: The Cloud Architect role is to architect, develop, and re-engineer applications that leverage public cloud. This role requires thought leadership and assistance with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to design architectures for teams across Xylem's global enterprise as we build new applications in the cloud. The successful candidate is a highly talented and hands on technical architect that's comfortable with DevOps practices and contributing to inner sourced codebases.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Define and document best practices for delivering technologies on public cloud
Work with application teams to understand complex system requirements and guide development towards best practices.
Convert system requirements into Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to codify system infrastructure.
Maintain and contribute to innersourced IaC codebase
Collaborate with operations teams to design governance solutions for public cloud resources.
Collaborate with security teams to design and implement policy controls
Collaborate with network teams to provide secure, highly available communications between Xylem services on our global network.
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
BS technical degree or equivalent professional skills
8 or more years of IT implementation experience
Experience with agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
IT compliance, security, and risk management experience
Experience developing Terraform
Strong experience architecting and designing highly available systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Functional experience migrating applications from on-prem to public cloud and hybrid-cloud
Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies (i.e. MQTT, NBIoT)

The Role: The Territory Manager is responsible for all customer-facing activities, including management of 3rd party manufacturer's representatives, for the assigned territories; ensuring exemplary customer service and responsiveness to achieve the required sales targets and budgets for the sale of company products - specifically biological treatment in the wastewater municipal and industrial segments.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Provide superior support to, and manage, independent Manufacturer's Representatives to enable them to successfully be specified and sell the company products in their assigned territory.
Provide superior support and responsiveness to all customers (consulting engineers, contractors, end-users)
Manage territory and team members to achieve company goals for Sales Volume, Margin, Profitability and Growth of project funnel including monthly, yearly forecasting using Salesforce.com
Proficiently apply company products and processes to best serve the needs of our customers while complying with Corporate, Professional and Industry standards
Maintain awareness of Market Drivers, Competition and potential Sales Activity to provide knowledgeable and accurate information to company management and marketing
Foster a team approach within the Sales Department and Company to ensure the free flow of information, active mentoring, enthusiasm and growth of all individuals
Provide support to others throughout the company as required to ensure that the customer's needs are met and that projects are completed in the most cost effective and efficient manner while maintaining a high level of quality for both our products and services
Attend industry related trade shows, conferences, and technical seminars (occasionally presenting relevant presentations/papers)
Other duties as may be assigned as needed including special projects to help improve processes or tools for the sales group or key account management

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or related B.S. degree in engineering/environmental studies)
5+ years of commercial sales, engineering, or related experience in the Water and Wastewater Industry is required. Strong emphasis on Treatment applications and process engineering.
Fundamental knowledge of engineering principles in the area of drinking water and wastewater treatment.
Demonstrate proficient problem solving techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications in the development of project tenders, designs, cost estimates, and proposals.
Superior customer service, interpersonal, effective communicator and influential is required. Ability to facilitate a presentation and technical aptitude of the product/process.
Possess ability to complete tasks and resolve difficult technical issues with minimum oversight.
Ability to prioritize, focus, and complete most critical tasks while handling multiple assignments with shifting priorities.
Ability to network effectively within organization to get things done
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and CRM software
Be a self-starter with high motivation to achieve corporate and personal goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with a drive to identify and implement business process efficiency improvements

The Role: The position of Mobile Technician (Electrical) is responsible for troubleshooting, service, repair and maintenance of Xylem products (pumps, electrical and electronic equipment) in a safe and efficient manner in a Xylem Service Center, customer job site or via phone.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot Flygt Submersible electrical systems and pump end issues and repair/rebuild as necessary
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and service various products as directed. Diagnose and report any damage to the Manager.
Create an accurate and legible parts and repair list, manually or digitally, for assigned product. Review list of parts with Manager and obtain approval to continue with servicing and repair.
Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
Assist customer and/or Xylem personnel with setting up pumping systems on customer job sites as needed. Assist in the performance of start-up duties and ensure any problems are resolved.
Maintain a safe work environment by following EHS&S guidelines, policies and best practices.
Participate in weekly on-call rotation schedule to assist customers after hours.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Perform on-site start-up service for specified Xylem Water Solutions products.

The Role: The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for the overall growth and profitability of his/her sales territory by effectively managing time and sales skills and resources. Utilizing strong technical and product knowledge, the Outside Sales Representative will solve customer fluid handling problems and increase Company business through the development of Godwin Dri-PrimeR and Flygt pumping systems, related pumping products, and aftermarket sales and services, particularly as related to the rental of pumps in the construction and industrial field.

Plan and organize business strategies to achieve desired growth results. Establish new rental and sales accounts through territory management, to include cold calling and personal visits to potential customer sites. Develop a diverse customer base to include traditional and nontraditional accounts and specialty market segments.
Identify, analyze and assess customers' pumping needs and react appropriately by recommending and designing pumping systems.
Develop a strong understanding of market conditions and local competitor pricingin order to position Xylem as the leading choice.

Loads, sets-up, and operates machine tools to produce work to specified finishes and tolerances, utilizing knowledge of proper set-up techniques speeds and feeds.
Determines applicable CNC program for part being machined. Enters program into CNC control. Sets tool and or work offsets. Performs various calculations to determine locations, speed, feed, and other data requiring the use of formulas derived from handbooks, tooling charts, etc
When not specified, adjusts machine feeds and speeds to achieve most efficient machining.
Program parts utilizing canned program cycles, conversational programming routines and manual programs.
Confirms all material used is correct (quality, quantity, type, size) prior to the start work.
Each person is responsible for verifying the quality of work through inspection and checking to insure that all their work meet specifications.
Performs layouts as required to ensure proper machining.
Transfers/records heat numbers to machined components and or documentation to ensure material traceability is maintained.
Obtain materials, fixtures, cutting and hand tools necessary to perform assigned duties. Rig and operate forklift truck, handcart, etc. to handle, move, and position materials, tooling, tools and/or fixtures within or between departments.
Notify supervisor of shortages in work-center supplies.
Notify supervisor immediately of any machine malfunction, quality problem, raw material problem, or problem with completed work or work in process.

Assists and/or trains new employees in job classification. Trains other Ml or M2 as directed.
Maintain good housekeeping and safe environment throughout work area(s), sweep area(s), wipe down, clears debris, arrange product, etc. on a daily basis to assure housekeeping is maintained.
Perform scheduled and assigned preventative maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, checking and refilling lubrication levels, cleaning machine tools. work surfaces, etc.
Perform 5s activities.
Observe all safety and shop rules and notify supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
Verify all gauges and measuring tools are within proper calibration dates prior to using. Deliver and retrieve gages and measuring tools from calibration collection points.
Sign off on paperwork (routers, checklists, or other documents) or through computer entry procedure or as directed to indicate operator has inspected work and it conforms to the applicable fabrication requirements (drawings, specs, codes, etc.) and to maintain status of fabrication.
Wears, cleans and properly maintains all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Participates in personal air and noise sampling when directed.
Perform daily safety checks on power vehicles and record findings on checkoff sheets.
Enrichment within this classification is a mandatory requirement. The enrichment process "rill be at the discretion of management, governed by seniority and the needs of the business.

The Role: The position will work closely with Utility SE Regional Sales Manager to provide directed support in all aspects but primarily assisting them with project management, customer training, trade shows, startup and on site trouble shooting at water and waste water treatment facilities throughout the SE region. SE Region consists of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. Location within this region is required.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Support Utility Regional and National Sales Managers in achieving their goals.
Provide timely and consistent communication with SE RSM and NSM.
Support Sales Initiatives and Campaigns as directed by National Sales Manager.
Provide timely technical support to customers/representatives regarding YSI/MJK/OI TOC water quality instrumentation via phone calls, emails and site visits.
Recommend Xylem product solutions based on customer's application needs.
Provide competitive selling information to customers (why buy YSI vs. competitor).
Maintain YSI customer database (Oracle and Sales Force.Com).
Manage key customer relationships.
Attend trade shows, conferences, visit customers, perform training seminars and provide technical service/start up as needed.
Manage regional demo inventory and demo placements.
Enter customer leads into Salesforce for marketing follow up.
Product quality, marketing and market intelligence information is to be shared with appropriate internal team members.

The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist to lead project teams and to execute projects aligned to critical business priorities. These projects will generate financial results and drive process improvement and efficiency.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional projects designed to analyze and design sequence of operations and work flows to improve efficiencies.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
Develop and implement plans and programs for advanced manufacturing processes and facility modifications to reduce labor hours and costs of manufacturing through Lean Manufacturing.
Interfaces with other departments to identify improvement opportunities for driving high quality and efficient processes
Mobilizes problem solving teams and supports groups to streamline processes
Facilitates kaizen events to drive continuous improvements in operations and office areas, including effective preparation and follow-up
Participates on multiple projects and applies continuous improvement techniques leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies to solve problems and build new capabilities.
Shares best practices and develops coordinated plans.
Be a change agent: challenge organizational leaders to drive continuous improvements and remove organizational barriers to continuous improvement processes.
Assist in development of long-range vision for 'next-generation' manufacturing plant.
Apply Best in Class benchmarks, cost analysis, Lean Six Sigma techniques to study manufacturing systems and operations. Identify cost and quality improvement projects.
Work with product engineering and development functions to enable successful product launch and VOD/VAVE initiatives
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
BS/BA Degree or Equivalent
5+ years of successful leadership in executing continuous improvement / Lean Six Sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness and tangible financial benefit
Hands-on and demonstrated experience with continuous improvement programs including employment of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies
Experienced in problem solving techniques such as Six Sigma, A3's, 5 Why, 8D's and Fishbone diagrams, as well as creating documents such as FEMA's, PFMEAs, control plans and flow charts
Facilitated or participated in at least 2 separate week long kaizen events while performing proper preparation and follow up
Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining detailed project plans for large scale projects
Comfortable with ambiguity
Demonstrated experience with ensuring effective Change Management development and execution
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
LSS Black Belt or Lean Master certification
5-10 years' experience within a manufacturing industry that does machining, assembly, and welding.
Experience working in union environments
ERP/MRP knowledge and experience
Robust knowledge of MS office applications including Project and Visio
