THE ROLE : The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing pre/post-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions for Flygt Products - Submersible Pumps, Mixers, Pump Stations etc.. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Identify Consulting Need: Works closely with outside sales, internal colleagues, distributors, consulting engineers, or others to develop understanding of the consulting request. Partners closely with the requestor to information to better classify the need including level of technical involvement, expertiserequired, urgency, application, customer type, etc.
Research/Gather Data: Responsible for providing technical and product expertise, as well as researching and gathering data to understand how to meet the requestor's consulting need or solve the problem. Works closely with internal colleagues, subject matter experts, and technical and commercial resources to gather relevant data including technical/commercial implications of potential solutions, as well as history related to the customer or request.
Complete the Need/Problem Solve: Responsible for meeting the requestor's consulting need or develop viable solution to requestor's problem. Typical problem solving could include turn-key or engineered-to-order system design, customer station design, custom accessory or ancillary equipment design support, training requests, engineering specification, or technical presentation and training development.
Validate and Communicate Solution: Works closely with outside sales and internal colleagues to communicate and validate consulting need has been fulfilled or to present proposed solution. If requestor is not satisfied with outcome, the AE is responsible for further consultation. AE acts as advocate and advisor to ensure consulting need is met.
Initial Tender/Spec/Job Details Review: Responsible for providing ainitial, high level review of all technical documentation for a project including specifications, plans, drawings, etc. Provides technical expertise to assist opportunity with initial tender review. May participate in on-site job walk at customer site.
Bid Prep: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to prepare project bid. Provides product and application expertise, design support, technical drawing support, etc. Advises sales team on technical request and implications as it related to the project.
Detailed Tender/Spec/Job Details Review: Responsible for providing a detailed review of all technical documentation for a project including specifications, plans, drawings, etc. Ensures proposal is feasible, technically viable, and profitable. Calls attention to any risk associated with the technical design of product offering or supporting equipment.
Procure Quotes: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to procure quotes. Provides design support for accessories and ancillary equipment, including third party buy-out items. Creates CAD drawings as necessary for quoting purposes.
Review Bid: Acts as a technical consultant in efforts to prepare and review bid package.
Factory Testing Approval: Works closely with internal and external clients to obtain customer approval of any required testing. Provides technical expertise on testing questions or concerns. May serve as on-site consultant for customer witness testing. Learns and understands Hydraulic Institute standards and acts as technical advisor for customers
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizationalneeds.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Engineeringrequired.
3+ years' related experience including pump sales and service.
Must have knowledge of pump hydraulics, mechanics and construction, and commonmetallurgical uses. Strong math and engineering skillsrequired.
Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with ambiguity, manage multiple projects at once, and to review technical documents.
Ability to take a leadership role in group meetings and projects.
Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred.
Salesforce,MathCAD, and Pump Selection Software experience is a plus.

In this role, the working environment is generally in an office setting and may be performed remotely. Provide training and product support to site level users of PTC Creo.
Interface with division and corporate level systems engineers to ensure full compliance with corporate engineering systems directives and initiatives.
As the primary site BIM (Building Information Model) point of contact, provide site level BIM capability support.
Act as the site level representative for the Corporate BIM Community of Practice.
While acting as the site level representative for all engineering systems processes, advocate for the unique ETO challenges faced by the site.
Work with Site and corporate information systems to ensure hardware and software support meets the site's usage requirements.
Make recommendations on user support and training opportunities.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of engineering documents required to support engineering systems such as procedures, work instructions, and forms.
Schedule and chair bi-yearly process capability reviews with design engineering team to ensure proper alignment of automation tools with business requirements.
Provide all necessary support to site level needs in the Windchill PLM platform.
Define and maintain the necessary workflows in Windchill PLM platform.
Maintain awareness of potential products in the marketplace that can improve speed and adherence to design intent while transitioning design tools further to the front of the sales channel.

QUALIFICATIONS :
B.S. Mechanical Engineering, plus
4-7 years related experience in PTC Creo Parametric/Pro Engineer CAD/CAM use and CAD automation.

Service and repair knowledge of electrical equipment

THE ROLE : The Assembler will be responsible for a being a member of the Manufacturing team in DuBois, PA. Understand and apply NDE codes and requirements
Identify root causes and trends of work area issues, communicate to support and empower work group
Initiate action plan to resolve issues
Mentor and advise Welder and Sr Welder
Performs Sr Welder responsibilities:
Interprets engineered drawings
Follows red-line process, recommends modifications and improvements when applicable using weld symbols and dimensions
Troubleshoots and repairs consumable failures such as spring liners and tip nozzle insulators
Performs Welder responsibilities:
Performs basic operations using hand and power tools including but not limited to chipping hammers and grinders
Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP)
Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities
Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues such as faulty consumables
Work collaboratively with supervisors, managers, and peers to produce a quality product in a timely manner
Contributes to division results and performance
Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
Position Requirements:
1. FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Drive the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement projects consistent with and in support of the strategic plan and business operating plan.
Assist in designing new procedures and methods for operational processes,by utilizing project charters with deliverables. Will work with site leaders to identify, modify, and sustain desired changes including reducing waste and improving inefficiencies.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement via idea generation. Lead projects and initiatives from idea generation to execution.
Mentor employees to realize benefits from all continuous improvement initiatives and act as a change agent to the site/organization.
Develop and conduct lean training based on the site Lean training initiatives.
Own Lean Maturity Element and improvement initiatives for the site. Partner with site leaders on strategy and deployment of maturity objectives.
Facilitate multi-day kaizen events & workshops with cross-functional teams ranging from shop floor to executive leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS :
BS/BA Degree
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma Tools; 5S, Standard Work, VSM, MDI, FMEA, etc.
5 to 10 years of successful execution of continuous improvement / Lean / Six Sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness and tangible financial benefit
Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Hands-on and demonstrated experience with continuous improvement programs including deployment of lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
Experience in facilitating workshop, kaizen azznd training events.
Demonstrated successful project management experience and acumen
Comfortable with ambiguity
Be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills in planning and organizing to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Ability to coach / mentor / inspire
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Expectation is to spend at least 50% of the time on the manufacturing floor

Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. THE ROLE: The Maintenance Technician 2nd shift- will be responsible for set up, installation, maintenance, safety and repair of plant machinery, structures, systems, and basic electrical/electronic work. $30.43 with an increase to $35.80 after 120 working days.

Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of practices and techniques, and operation of various types of equipment, tools, fixtures and instruments.
Plans, details, (including material and equipment requirements) and carries out all tasks related to the maintenance, repair and installation of plant equipment and structures.
Support subcontractor installation and repair efforts.
Receives instructions, interprets requirements and performs required tasks. Ensures work is performed in a manner which meets existing codes, specs and regulations governing the operation and installation of
Recommends tooling and equipment necessary to support work.
Maintains familiarization with plant emergency systems including alarms, fire fighting systems, (sprinkler, extinguishers, etc).
Performs basic troubleshooting, modification and repair of plant electrical supply and distribution systems.
Responds to emergency situations ensuring minimal exposure to any health or safety risks for themselves or plant personnel. Works to protect plant property against damage.
Obtains material, fixtures and tools necessary to perform assigned duties. Rigs and operates crane, forklift truck, handcart, etc. to handle, move, and position parts and equipment as required.
Demonstrates ability to work alone and with minimal supervision.
Strictly adheres to start up, cleaning, and shut down procedures/directions for all paint equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance work and monthly, annual or otherwise scheduled inspections of plant equipment, vehicles, cranes, systems and tooling.
Maintains required records (electronic and/or hard copy).
Disposes of materials in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements.
Verify all gauges and measuring tools are within proper calibration dates.
Performs daily safety checks on power vehicles and record findings on check off sheets.
Wears, cleans, and properly maintains required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participates in all training deemed necessary to support job function and as required by regulatory agencies. Pass any required tests to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of skills.
Is at the forefront of Heat Transfer's safety program. Considers and follows all safety precautions when performing work on equipment and plant systems. Ensures proper isolation of electrical devices to prevent injury or adverse affects on other systems. Observes all safety and shop rules.
Required to perform work at heights over 20 feet. Required to use articulating boom lifts and other forms of man lifts.
Assists and/or trains new employees in job classification.
Maintains good housekeeping and a safe environment throughout work area(s), sweeps area(s), clears debris, etc. on a daily basis to assure this. Notifies supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two year college degree with evidence of experience in maintenance applications or 3-5 years practical experience in a manufacturing facility including familiarity with electrical, electronic and mechanical applications. Evidence of formal training in electrical/electronics is required, but may be waived based on practical experience.
Competent in reading, interpreting drawings and capable of performing simple math calculations (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication).
Must pass a written test.
Must possess a valid New York State driver license with no moving violations for the previous two years, as well as never having been convicted of a DWI/DUI violation. Must supply a current DMV report verifying same.

In this role, the working environment is a typical heavy manufacturing facility with welding, machining, assembly etc. The physical demands may include but not limited to walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and lifting up to 35lbs.
