Job Description

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior-Level Model-Based Systems Engineer for a position at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. The Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) will join a team of experts providing systems operation expertise to the NSWCDD Integrated Combat Systems Department (V). This department plans and executes systems engineering activities supporting current and future Combat System Command and Control (C2) functions.

Job Description:

The candidate will apply their MBSE experience to create System and System of Systems (SoS) models for the Navy's surface fleet combat systems. Responsibilities include developing SoS models, Top-Level Requirements (TLRs) models, combat architectures and architecture concepts, and report generation templates using Velocity Templating Language (VTL). This role involves creating Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), and Systems Modeling Language (SysML) diagrams. Experience in creating SysML diagrams is required; experience with UAF and DoDAF viewpoints is desired. This position is a key step towards implementing MBSE across NSWCDD's V Dept and is critical to the nation's security.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of SysML with at least 5 years of experience building SysML models in Cameo Systems Modeler (or MagicDraw).
  • Understanding and experience with UAF is a plus.
  • Experience modeling and implementing MBSE on new or legacy systems.
  • Exceptional soft skills, with the ability to communicate complex MBSE topics to non-technical government stakeholders and clearly articulate the benefits of MBSE.
  • Experience creating custom report generation templates and macros in Cameo Systems Modeler.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the adoption of MBSE and model-based artifacts on legacy combat systems programs.
  • Maintain Top-Level Requirements models.
  • Design and develop warfare system architecture models.
  • Design and develop enterprise architecture models.
  • Model external and internal interfaces.
  • Elicit MBSE needs from government stakeholders.
  • Train government stakeholders on the benefits of MBSE, MBSE practices, and how to interpret various SysML and UAF diagrams.
  • Model system missions, use cases, behaviors, and structures.
  • Create report generation templates using VTL.
  • Create process diagrams and facilitate seamless transitions to MBSE.
  • Present MBSE results to customers, MBSE communities, and Rite-Solutions leadership.

Requirements/Skills:

  • 8+ years of applicable Systems Engineering experience (2 years may be supplemented with a Masters of Science in Systems Engineering or a related technical field).
  • 5+ years of applicable MBSE experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field.

Job Description

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Developer to support in a hybrid capacity at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. You will be part of a team of experts charged with providing support in the areas of cyber analysis and cyber development capabilities in response to Navy's and DoD's needs for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. Program scope includes identifying cyber key terrain by analyzing operational requirements, conducting cyber analyses and assessments, and developing and performing modeling and simulation in support of different cyber threat scenarios.

Program support includes developing methodology and framework in support of cyber risk assessment life cycle. Our team will provide capabilities to support the customer with rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs. As a Senior Developer on this program, you will be tasked with implementing new features within a critical line of business application that support mission assurance and operational management functions. You will have the opportunity to work and grow your expertise with a team of software engineering and cyber security experts working to tackle the cyber defense issues of the modern military with creative and innovative solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Working from requirements specifications to develop or modify software applications
  • Designing, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documenting application features and changes
  • Reviewing and assessing existing enterprise applications, to support new features, performance improvements, upgrades, and ongoing sustainment
  • Participating in performance, load, and stress testing, and remediation of issues identified
  • Participating in security architecture reviews of large enterprise systems
  • Participating in the development of new systems throughout the entire application lifecycle: requirements analysis and definition, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment
  • Participating in activities that ensure the successful use of these systems including developing documentation, test scripts, and training materials
  • Working in an agile team environment participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, and daily standups

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • U.S. Citizenship andactive or interim DoD SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
  • DoDD 8140.01 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I certification or higher.
  • Experience designing, implementing, supporting, and analyzing enterprise scale applications using the following technologies: .NET, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, C#, and SQL Server
  • Proficiency with modern development toolsets including Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, git, unit testing frameworks, and task tracking such as GitLab
