The Flower Hospital campus is a 311-bed facility that houses the Hickman Cancer Center, ER Trauma Center, and is the regional leader for inpatient adult psychiatric services. The campus includes our hospice facility, the Ebeid Center
Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs complex professional procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. They obtain high quality scans, which are interpreted by a radiologist in the evaluation of disease or abnormality. Assists radiologists or other staff physicians in the performance of diagnostic CT procedures whenever required. This position also requires General Radiology job functions.
Job Requirements:
Must have completed formal radiology technology training at an AMA approved school.
Skills
Must be able to cope with the stressful situations and handle deadlines in a demanding, fast paced medical environment.
Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills.
Must be competent in the use of facility communication systems and equipment (e.g. EMR/PACS and fax machines).
Must be able to input and retrieve information from radiology or other medical equipment and computerized systems.
License
Must have met ARRT registry requirements.
If not currently registered in CT, must pass registry within one year of accepting the position; if performing in more than one modality and registry eligible, must pass registry within one year of accepting additional responsibilities (see addendum). License by state if applicable.

Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating placement, community agency referral, and social coping aspects for patients in the assigned areas, inclusive of all age groups served. Serve as a referral source and resource to other staff in an effort to promote the delivery of high quality, fiscally responsible continuing care services. Individual provides psychosocial support and guidance to meet the needs of the patient.
Primary Duties:
Proactively follows up with inpatient referrals and consults.
Conducts interviews with patients and family members to develop therapeutic relationships and obtain psychosocial and financial information necessary for the facilitation of appropriate discharge planning.
Performs psychosocial assessment on all referrals and mental health or substance abuse assessment as needed and documents within 24 hours of referral.
Completes the following psychosocial transition planning services: New facility placements, New dialysis patients, Hospice, Rapes, Teen pregnancy, Homeless, Domestic violence/domestic dispute, Abuse, Counseling, Adult protective/Child protective services, Guardianship, Crisis intervention, other tasks as appropriate
Provides information to patients and families about community resources - including skilled nursing and acute rehabilitation facilities, financial programs, counseling agencies, and other providers of concrete and supportive services - and educate them, as needed, about steps needed in selecting and accessing community resources, documenting patient choice of the final selection.
Counsels patients and families, as appropriate, regarding issues related to adjustment to illness, difficulties in accessing community resources, financial difficulties, future long-term care planning, protection issues, advance directives, and other psychosocial problems.
Effectively communicates with hospital staff, patients, and families, and outside resources information needed to facilitate timely and appropriate discharges and provide other needed services to families.
Refers patients and family members to in-house (financial counselor, chaplain, etc.) and community resources for help with financial programs and other tangible resources, rehabilitation and nursing services, counseling and support services, and other psychosocial needs.
Provides assistance to members of the interdisciplinary team regarding community resources and agencies, financial programs, regulatory standards and other psychosocial needs.
Documents required and other pertinent information on the patient's medical chart, including psychosocial information and final transition plan, to describe progress on cases, clearly indicating that patient choice was encouraged regarding community resources and what the final choice is.
Works collaboratively with patients, families, and health care team members in the coordination and monitoring of activities of all parties to ensure transition plans are implemented in a timely and fiscally responsible manner.
Serves as a patient advocate during the course of the patient's hospitalization with a goal of promoting a sense of the continuum of care and a climate of concern for individual patient/family welfare.
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with patients, family members, and members of the health care staff, incorporating positive customer service standards into daily work.
Ensures appropriate transportation is arranged for patient discharge.
Escalates concerns to leadership, as appropriate.
Works collaboratively with system and non-system referral sources to proactively identify and screen prospective patients to be admitted into the program

Position Summary
Our Environmental Services Technicians are responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assigned tasks, the EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Our techs are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas throughout the Toledo Hospital campus within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, as well as other common areas of their job assignment such as rest rooms, nurses' stations, corridors, conference rooms, utility rooms, treatment areas, kitchens, offices, lobbies, lounges, stairwells and waiting rooms. Other assigned areas may include surgery OR's, labor and delivery, emergency department and other procedural areas.
Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements as well as proper and safe chemical use.
Adheres to all organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety.
Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to improve patient experience and cleanliness metrics.

Ensures therapy plans of care are completed and routed in a timely fashion to comply with regulatory requirements and system-wide quality standards.
Responsible for point-of-service collections, including co-pays and deductibles. Records and processes collection in accordance with system policies.
Processes daily billing charges, completes charge reconciliation to ensure billing accuracy, and identifies and assists with correction of billing errors.
Performs general office support including but not limited to typing, data entry, filing, copying, and scanning. Assist with reports and data collection as directed.

Position Summary:
Prepares, seasons, and cooks food for hospitals patients, employees, and visitors. Performs lead role for kitchen service activities and the delivery of food in consultation with the Chef, Managers, Supervisors, and Clinical Dietitians.
Accountabilities:
Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients/clients served, i.e. infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Prepares, seasons, and cooks food. Cuts, pours, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes. Uses a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, including choppers, slicers, mixers, and blenders.
Previews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of meals, vegetables, soups, salads, and desserts to be obtained and prepared. Responsible for menu selection and completion.
Plans and coordinates cooking schedules so that meals will be ready at required times.
Assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Alerts Manager to problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies. Detects and reports spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, or other unusual conditions.
Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards. Ensures that sanitary levels are maintained throughout the food preparation process as well as throughout the workday.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Education: None required.
Skills: Capable of operating kitchen equipment; have good math and communication skills; be able to read and speak English; have the ability to learn how to change and convert recipes as needed and to learn special diet production needs. The Candidate needs to be able to deal effectively with a fast-paced environment and be open to new ideas and be willing to take instruction. Must have a basic understanding of culinary basics: cooking temperatures and proper labeling/rotation of food product.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or GED. Culinary degree preferred, but not required
Skills: Specialized training in food preparation/culinary techniques
Years of Experience: 1 year in food production preferred
Certification: Food Handler Card or Serv Safe preferred, but not required
Working Conditions:
Personal Protective Equipment: Coat or apron, hat, and non-sterile medical gloves.
Physical Demands: Occasional lifts, carries, pushes, pulls up to 50 lbs. Must be able to see, hear, and move intermittently, or use prosthetics that will enable you to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Frequently has prolonged standing and walking. Manual dexterity and mobility necessary. Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Exposed to electrical hazards, cuts, and burns. Exposed to hot, humid, noisy equipment/environment, and varying degrees of kitchen elements.
