Job Description

Accountable for managing the Clinical Value Analysis process of one or more CVA service line teams. Collaborates with physicians, clinicians, supply chain, and industry partners to jointly make product and technology decisions which allow for the highest level of quality and patient outcomes at the lowest possible costs. 1. Responsible for the leadership and management of several Clinical Value Analysis (CVA) service line teams. 2. Serves as subject matter expert and clinical liaison for identifying process improvement, cost savings opportunities related to surgical services and other service line areas. 3. Communicates clearly and effectively with all members of multi-disciplinary team, decision support members, peers, and leadership to ensure excellent exchange of information across service lines. 4. Establishes collaborative relationships that foster a culture of multi-disciplinary teamwork. 5. Demonstrates effectiveness of setting goals, completing initiatives, and achieving project goals for quality and savings targets. 6. Researches and evaluates internal and benchmarking data to determine savings / standardization opportunities within their service line(s). 7. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess, research and analyze data from a variety of resources. 8. Facilitates the completion of clinical and financial assessment for CVA initiatives, evaluation of new products and/or technology in collaboration with physicians, clinicians, and supply chain management. 9. Works with Service Line Leaders and CVA teams to reduce cost and procedure variation through: Cost per Case, Utilization Guidelines, and Implementation of team decisions. 10. Demonstrates the ability to assist in providing leadership with expense improvement strategies that support the overall organization's strategy and mission. 11. Facilitates the connection between clinical product sourcing, materials management, and clinical service lines to reduce product disruptions. 12. Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree Skills: Must have initiative and problem solving/analytical skills. Must have proficient computer skills in the following: Windows, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must be organized, flexible, and able to work independently. Must be customer service oriented. Evidence of a strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams with strong presentation skills Years of Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in applicable service line(s). License: Nursing licensure in State of Ohio or Michigan preferred or applicable certification in service line with experience. Certification: N/A

Education: Master's Degree Skills: Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Management, Crucial Confrontations, and benchmarking. Years of Experience: 3 Plus years prior experience in value analysis License: N/A Certification: CVAHP (Certified Value Analyss Healthcare Professional); obtained or actively pursuing
