Job Summary:
Parsons is seeking an experienced Engineering Training & Coaching Coordinator to join our xD Digital Delivery Services team in support of our Global Digital Delivery Program. This role is crucial in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and competencies of our global engineering staff. The coordinator will drive engineering training and coaching to facilitate the adoption of digital technologies and capabilities, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), and ensure our operations align with industry standards such as ISO 19650. This position offers the opportunity to influence the standardization of engineering processes at Parsons and play a significant role in our digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Program Development:
Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of engineering staff across various teams, projects, and disciplines
Focus on the effective use of software tools provided by Autodesk, Bentley Systems, Esri, and the Pinnacle Series Learning Management System (LMS)
Implement training that supports the adoption of digital delivery best practices and enhance overall efficiency
Content Development and Management:
Collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and software vendors to curate and leverage available training content
Create Parsons-specific training content suited to different skill levels and project requirements
Maintain and update training curricula to reflect the latest industry standards, technological advancements, and internal best practices
Training Delivery and Facilitation:
Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and coaching, both in-person and virtually
Use various training methodologies to effectively engage learners and ensure knowledge transfer
Align training delivery with established best practices for skill development
Performance Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metricsImplement strategies to enhance training outcomes and address identified gaps
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with engineering teams, project managers, functional managers, and other stakeholders to identify training needs
Develop tailored training solutions aligned with Parsons' strategic goals and the objectives of the Global Digital Delivery Program
Foster strong relationships across departments to promote a culture of continuous learning
Standards Compliance and Professional Development Support:
Ensure all training programs align with industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and internal best practicesIdentify opportunities to support engineering staff with professional development and licensing requirements
Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide support and troubleshooting for training-related inquiries and software usage
Serve as a resource for training related to best practices in digital delivery and engineering workflows
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Education, Human Resources, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, training, and development within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry
Proven experience with digital transformation initiatives and the adoption of BIM practices
Experience in a global or multi-regional organization is advantageous
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in engineering software, including tools provided by Autodesk, Bentley Systems, and Esri
Experience with the Pinnacle Series LMS or similar e-learning platforms
Familiarity with BIM processes and ISO 19650 standards
Ability to develop e-learning content and utilize various learning technologies
Interpersonal and Professional Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities

Parsons Chicago office is seeking a Structural Designer/Drafter with experience in CAD drafting plans for road or rail bridges. The Chicago structural group works on some of the most challenging and fast-paced bridge projects in the industry.
Parsons Bridge Designer/Drafters take notes, sketches, mark ups, etc. and formalize them into CAD plan sheets. Rebar detailing and quantity checking are frequently required. Designers need familiarity with common materials and conventions in organizing structural plans for bridges.
Responsibilities:
Utilize a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting bridge plans, elevations, sections and details, from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information, according to established standards and procedures.
Work closely with other Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design
Apply standard drafting/design principles and tools to complete assignments.
Compile data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
Make required changes, additions, and/or revisions, following an established quality cycle of checking, backchecking, correcting and verifying.
Manage assembly and delivery of completed drawings sets within the bridge discipline.
Qualifications:
Associate's or equivalent technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course of study.
6 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with Bentley tools including MicroStation, ProjectWise, and OpenBridge Modeler.
Ability to interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards such as AASHTO, and state DOT CAD standards, and company policies and procedures including the ability to set up workspace environment.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Transportation Technology Field Technician - Night to join our team in Herndon, VA ! In this role you will support multiple clients through maintenance and installation of many different types of technologies along the roadside. We are looking for a motivated individual to work on a crew during night shift.
What You'll Be Doing:
Install, wire, integrate, maintain and program the following - Poles, Cabinets, IVDS, Radar, CCTV Cameras, Encoders, Digital Message Signs, Field Switches, Lowering Devices, and all related hardware.
Ability to troubleshoot various electronics and IT-related issues in the field.
Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones.

What You'll Be Doing:
Review draft material and correct grammar, word usage, spelling, style, format, punctuation, logic, and organization errors. Ensure that all edits adhere to prescribed grammar, style, and formatting guidelines.
Provide guidance that helps authors generate material that is comprehensive and relevant.
Review portion marks and classification banners on draft materials to ensure consistency and to prevent material from being handled inappropriately.
Work on multiple projects with varying deadlines under fast-paced conditions.
Process and disseminate materials in many hardcopy, softcopy, and web formats.
Assist with the coordination process for drafting documents as necessary.
Attend regularly scheduled editor and staff meetings.

Prepare condolence letters and other correspondence for the EXCOM members.
Collect, process, organize, and manage records in accordance with appropriate NGA Instructions or guidelines.
With the assistance of the Government lead, establish milestones and schedules with wide latitude for independent judgement regarding the resolution of staff and administrative management problems.
Analyze data related to the DXCE mission. Collect measurements and metrics to improve mission focus. Provide suggestions to improve business processes.

Smithsonian Construction Management Services program will provide construction management support services to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park.

Review and manage Critical Path Management (CPM) schedules for the multi-discipline construction project. Informs COTR of progress and identifies potential schedule delays. Responds to inquiries and resolves scheduling problems.
Monitor daily the construction activities of the general contractor, sub-contractors, and consultants, providing detailed technical reports of such activities, photos, taking necessary action to correct deficiencies, and identifying areas of potential problems.
Work closely with the COTR to communicate and coordinate with Office of Protective Services (OPS), Office of Safety, Health, and Environment Management (OSHEM) and Office Facilities, Maintenance and Reliability (OFEO) and other departments.
Works closely with COTR to ensure that the contract specifications and plans are implemented accurately and efficiently in compliance with legal codes, regulatory requirements and meet engineering and technical standards,
Continually reviews engineering and technical specifications of the project to determine accuracy as compared to actual on-site conditions. In consultation with the COTR, takes corrective action as required, revising specifications or calculations, and coordinating such. Establish and monitor punch list and testing activities in compliance with the contractor documents.

Provide contract administration services such as review of submittals, requests for information (RFI), value engineering proposals, correspondence preparation, etc.

Requirements:
BS in Engineering or Construction Management or related field: Architecture, Engineering Technology (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience as a Construction Manager Project Manager, or Project Field Engineer on commercial/industrial type facilities contracts valued in excess of $IO million.
Ability and willingness to traverse construction jobsites.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) / Registered Architect (RA) desired.
Certification as a PMP with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or CCM with the Construction Management Association of American (CMAA) is highly desired.

What You'll Be Doing:

What You'll Be Doing:
Research, develop, and implement new system hardware and software integrations/upgrades while applying security best practices
Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to the current environment
Create and maintain technical instructions, operating procedures
Monitor and troubleshoot application functionality and performance
Investigate user performance and work to improve user experience
Respond to support requests and assist users with Tier 3 incident resolution

Senior Project Engineer - Transportation Systems - Irvine, California
Opportunity :
Our Parsons Corporation Irvine, California office is now hiring for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to perform conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses supporting various Caltrans road & highway projects in Southern California. Qualified candidates should have a solid level of experience with signing, striping, traffic control, construction staging, traffic signals, lighting, ITS, cost estimates, and specifications required.
Traffic Signal design ; and signal timing development tools are a big plus. Candidate will also need the ability to prepare various MOT design scenarios and operational alternatives; and develop Transportation Management Plans (TMPs ) in accordance with local, state and federal policies and requirements. We offer hybrid remote working ( meaning allowed to work from home 2-3 days per week) in this role.
Responsibilities :
Work with a team of engineers and technicians designing and producing a variety of traffic engineering projects.
The responsibilities will include assisting in analysis, design and implementation of projects such as traffic impact studies, traffic operations studies, capacity analysis, traffic signal design, signal timing, signing, striping, lighting and traffic control plans.
Strong working knowledge of traffic analysis software ( Synchro, HCS, VISSIM) is essential.
Provides support for other engineering activities as required. May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
Requirements :
Must have a 4-year degree in Engineering ( or related field ) and at least 10- 12 years or more of related work experience .
Professional Engineer License ( PE) is highly preferred
Experience in California is preferred, but not required.
Skills / Competencies :
Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
Microstation or AutoCAD proficiency is a must. SYNCHRO and VISSIM experience is preferred, HCS and SIDRA expertise is preferred. Signal timing experience is preferred.

Job Description:
VAXCOM, a Parsons company, is seeking a skilled electronic controls technician to support a program located in Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining electronic security screening equipment and possess an active TS/SCI Security clearance.
Installs, maintains and repairs products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at the client and/or field locations.
Instructs customers in equipment operation, provides technical assistance, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment for malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
Performs one or many of a wide range of installation tasks such as running conduit and cable, installing and connecting trays, racks and electronic hardware systems, connecting and testing both new and retrofit construction of audio/visual, computer server, network and telecommunications equipment.
Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
Assembles, installs and configures systems and equipment in accordance with site assessments and schematics.
Completes system programming and optimization as part of the installation process.
Completes final commissioning and integrated acceptance testing of electrical systems and associated equipment.
Ensures the commissioning and final acceptance of critical path equipment is conducted to clients requirements and in accordance with applicable industry standards (API, ABS, DNV, etc.).
Performs routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing and replacing equipment components.
Provides on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance and limited troubleshooting.
Travels frequently to customer sites in performance of duties.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
The employee is required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
