SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and optimizing Oracle and Postgres databases, as well as extensive experience with AWS managed databases including RDS, Aurora and Redshift. This role requires a deep understanding of database failover and recovery, backups, migration of on-premises databases to AWS, and proficiency with AWS CloudWatch. The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring database performance, availability, and security, and experienced in handling data warehouses.
Job Responsibilities:
Database Management:Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of databases.
Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required to ensure optimal performance.
Failover and Recovery: Design and execute database backup and recovery strategies, including failover planning and testing.
Migration and Upgrade: Lead migration projects from on-premises databases to AWS, including planning, execution, and validation of database migrations and upgrades.
Security and Compliance: Ensure database security measures are in place, including access controls and audit logging. Comply with all applicable data privacy laws and regulations.
Data Warehousing: Manage and optimize AWS Redshift instances and other data warehousing solutions for scalable and efficient data storage and analysis.
Monitoring: Utilize AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools to ensure database health, performance, and to automate scaling and notifications.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide high-level support for complex database issues, including troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, etc.

Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 9 years' experience; Master's degree and 7 years' experience.
Database Expertise: Proven experience as a DBA with expertise in Oracle and Postgres databases.
AWS Managed Databases: Extensive experience with AWS database services, including Aurora, RDS, and Redshift.
Failover and Recovery: Solid experience in database failover, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
Migration Experience: Demonstrated experience with migrating on-premises databases to AWS.
Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL, database design, and data modeling. Familiarity with AWS CLI, SDKs, and CloudWatch.

We are looking for an experienced, Part-time, Air Traffic Control Instructor to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the Portland TRACON (P80) in Portland, OR, supporting air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The CTS Instructor is a hands-on position that requires the candidate to effectively and consistently deliver the highest quality classroom and/or simulation laboratory training to a wide variety of students including developmental air traffic controllers and Certified Professional Controllers (CPC).
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.
To provide such air traffic services, the FAA trains new air traffic control specialists and provides recurrent training to current air traffic control specialists. The FAA utilizes Contractor-provided instructional services at FAA ATC facilities throughout the U.S. and its Territories to ensure these training needs are met. The scope of the contractor-provided services includes all training and training program support to successfully train and prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers. SAIC must provide training and training related support services as required for all types and levels of ATC facilities.

The CTS Instructor candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic, or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility. Experience must have been at the same type and same [or greater] level of ATC facility as the Portland TRACON (P80).
The successful candidate for this position must demonstrate strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures. This position will provide mentoring for students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO) as well as participate in curriculum design and development. The selected candidate must demonstrate the knowledge and skills applicable for obtaining radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA air traffic control facilities within the U.S. National Airspace System.

Providing technical support for the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems in the areas of field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training support to the Air Force squadron at Kirtland AFB.
Providing on-site technical support for weapons and associated equipment used by the squadron.
Acting as the liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN for any technical issues related to the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems.
May make technical presentations and has a strong knowledge of products. Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance experience.
Experience with tool control, technical data, data documentation programs and aircraft maintenance systems.
Must have public speaking skills and the ability to deliver presentations to groups.
Must have the motivation and ability to research directives, regulations and policies to determine solutions to problems, issues and concerns.
Must have a commitment to customer service and be proactive in implementing policy as well as identifying and solving problems.
Must have ability to work multiple shifts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products and have the ability to learn company software.
Physical Requirements:
Must have dexterity in fingers in both hands.
Ability to pick up and carry 70 lbs. for a distance of 50 feet.
Ability to withstand exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties.

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim secret needed to start.
Must be a U.S. citizen.

JOB DESCRIPTION
This position requires a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, as well as with a team. It involves working at all levels of program management and systems management. In addition, this position requires the ability to manage program schedules and milestones for the TACP program. Travel will be required, as needed, to support military installations tech refresh, system repair and maintenance.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Oversight of fielding kits, per written instructions.
Integration of parts, cables, assemblies and sensitive equipment.
Interaction with other facets of project development and support, such as: leads, government customer, procurement, drafting support, engineering support, and inventory support.

Associate's Degree and at least 6 years of experience in related field OR High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 8 years of experience in related field; Will accept military communication systems experience in lieu of degree

Must have mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of electrical connectivity, with the ability to follow written instruction and schematic layout.
Must be able to comprehend and follow written instruction for performing part and assembly integration for completion of full functioning systems.
Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to read and comprehend written work cards, drawings, and verbal instruction.
Familiarity with common C4I platforms and knowledge of communication capabilities withinRadio Frequency (RF) bands, i.e. HF, VHF, and UHF is preferred.
Must have technical ability for platform assembly, testing, training, fielding, and systems upgrades as required through modification instructions or manuals.
Able to travel 25% of time to other military locations CONUS and OCONUS.
Possess strong verbal, written and computer skills coupled with interpersonal skills when dealing with multiple levels of management.
Demonstrate strong teamwork attributes and an ability to work independently.
