INVENTORY SPECIALIST (FALCON & DRAGON) - MULTIPLE SHIFTS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pick, lift, organize, and move standard hardware, raw material, purchased parts, machined details, and assemblies to support inventory control for the F9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft production at Cape Canaveral Launch Site
Assemble racks, look for parts, organize supplies, and any other tasks directed by inventory control lead and manager
Perform picking function to create necessary kits of parts, material, and hardware as required and ensure that all parts are accounted for and available in kits
Frequently use forklift and other machinery to transport large material on site
Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice/procedures
Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock
Perform daily cycle counts
Effectively utilize ERP system
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
1+ years of inventory control experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse
ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes
Capability to operate a forklift and other related inventory equipment
Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work one of the following shifts:
Monday to Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm
Monday to Friday 4:00pm - 2:30am
Friday to Monday 6:00am - 6:00pm
Friday to Monday 6:00pm - 6:00am
Ability to work overtime, and/or weekends as needed
Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral

SR. IT STORAGE ENGINEER
SpaceX is looking for an experienced engineer with deep working knowledge of storage technologies. This employee will be a member of the Information Technology Infrastructure team and will provide expertise in all aspects of storage in support of critical business functions. The ideal candidate will be flexible and flourish in a fast paced and challenging environment. They should be a self-starter, self-motivator, and possess ingenuity to excel at this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, implement, and maintain all aspects of storage, including the various tiers of storage (high-performance, low-cost, archive, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery)
Multi-protocol [CIFS, NFS] file-based solutions such as NetApp and Pure
Block-based high-performance All-Flash Arrays such as NetApp and Pure
Object-based storage such as Scality and EMC ECS
Disk-based backup solutions such as Cohesity
Create strategies, roadmaps, and standards for all technologies in scope
Implement and utilize asset inventory, configuration management database, capacity management, performance management, resource optimization, and security (access control, authorization, and accounting) for all technologies in scope
Define requirements, perform research, evaluate vendors/solutions, design/implement solutions, and provide ongoing support for all technologies in scope. Provide simple but effective scalability, performance, and reliability
Drive consistent standardized solutions across SpaceX for all hardware, software, configurations, and processes
Implement tools and processes for efficient and effective operational management of the environment -- change management, monitoring, alerting, incident handling, customer request handling
Schedule and provide after-hours or weekend support when necessary to perform high-risk or planned downtime of SpaceX data center systems for upgrades and maintenance
Participate in defining and executing a roadmap of projects that continues to raise the bar through implementing innovative technology, tools, automation, and processes
Interact with internal customers to provide solutions and resolve problems in a timely and proactive manner
Administer and provide operational support and incident management for all storage infrastructure including archival and compliance systems
On-call responsibilities consisting of one week on-call shifts, rotated throughout all members of the team
Understanding of storage access and data permissions on how that access works between protocols and operating systems
Troubleshooting complex issues that require an understanding of the interaction of various protocols and operating systems
Windows - NTFS/CIFS/iSCSI
Unix - NFS/SMB
Physical installation of hardware may be required at various times
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, computer information systems, or STEM discipline and 5+ years of IT storage engineering experience OR 8+ years of experience in IT storage engineering without a degree
Experience with storage protocols and technologies (e.g. NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NetApp Filers, Pure Flasharray and Flashblade, EMC ECS, Cohesity, DAS)
Experience with client and server hardware/software, management tools, enterprise networking, virtualization, and security technologies
Experience leading teams in technical projects
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated experience designing, documenting, and implementing complex multi-tiered cost-effective storage deployments
Experience collaborating with Windows, Linux, and network engineers and developers
Experience gathering system usage and performance data for reporting and trending
Storage capacity planning, vendor management and procurement

A&P TECHNICIAN (FALCON MAINTENANCE) - NIGHT SHIFT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stage, set up, assemble, test, and install flight hardware
Hands-on operations with both large as well as small, fragile assemblies
Use various mechanical tools without instruction
Maintain and install fluid system components from a schematic or drawing including ball and check valves, pressure regulators and gauges, etc.
Troubleshoot operational issues found during activation of fluid and mechanical systems including but not limited to hydraulic systems, high-pressure nitrogen and helium systems, and cryogenic systems
Work with a team of technicians and engineers to ensure systems and mechanical equipment is built with the highest level of quality to support the successful launch of our multi million dollar launch vehicle. Core traits that empower this success are strong written and oral communication skills, a meticulous attention to detail, an emphasis on safety, cleanliness, adherence to corporate policies and standards, and the ability to work with a team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
2+ years of professional hands on experience in assembly, test, maintenance, repair and/or installation, OR a certificate from an accredited trade skills program
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Airframe & Powerplant license
Associate degree in aerospace technology or equivalent area of study
Experience working in a clean room environment
Knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices
Experience maintaining a propulsion test stand in the aerospace industry
Experience working at a rocket launch facility and supporting launch campaigns
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting complex fluid and mechanical systems
Military aviation experience as a propulsion or airframe technician
Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
Experience with forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment
Familiarity with calibrated measurement devices including load cells, multimeters, calipers, torque wrenches, depth gauges, and micrometers

Starlink demands a new type of supply chain. We require our suppliers to provide premium quality with rapidly evolving designs at commercial scale volumes. This is a technical position that requires practical experience with the materials, processes and parts used in printed circuit boards (PCB). The ideal candidate will have broad understanding of these products with the desire and capability to take on new challenges in unfamiliar areas to help enable our mission to Mars.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with design engineers to gain in-depth understanding of design intent and conduct design for manufacturing reviews to ensure successful high-volume production of parts
Review and assess supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems to support procurement team in strategically souring parts matched to supplier competencies
Implement and monitor production part approval process (PPAP) with selected suppliers to enable high-rate production and limit potential defect opportunities
Create and define technical requirements and quality flow-downs to meet program needs
Lead quality actions as needed including root cause analysis, corrective action execution, containment activities and ultimate problem resolution at the supplier, SpaceX or both
Identify, audit and onboard new suppliers; perform surveillance and diagnostic audits on incumbent suppliers and lead supplier probation activities for underperforming suppliers
