PRINCIPAL ANALOG RFIC ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Simulate and model RFIC systems at high level and work with system architects, modem/DSP and ASIC engineers to partition functions between hardware and software domains
Derive specifications for the RFIC subsytems and circuits
Develop RF/microwave circuits in state of the art SiGe or CMOS processes
Perform IC floor planning and layout
Model package and external parasitic components
Evaluate and characterize prototypes of the design
Characterize and analyze full radio performance
Assist in the development of automated test lab equipment for lab measurements
Work with manufacturing engineers on production testing and qualification of the RFIC components and systems
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
10+ years of professional experience with RF/microwave integrated circuits
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
PhD in electrical engineering with an emphasis in RF/microwave integrated circuits design or analog IC design
7+ years of experience using simulation tools such as ADS, Spectre, HFSS or Momentum
Strong circuit design skills, and experience performing analysis and simulation of both linear and non-linear circuits such as phase-locked loops, vector modulators/demodulators, oscillators, mixers, filters, low noise and power amplifiers
Thorough knowledge of digital communication systems, spread spectrum, single and multi-carrier techniques and modulation types such as QPSK, APSK and QAM
Thorough knowledge of RF transceiver architectures
Experience in RF/microwave design in the Ku-band, K-band and Ka-band frequency range
Experience with radio related test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generator, network analyzers
Experience characterizing radio performance in microwave frequencies

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (STARLINK INJECTION MOLDING) - 1st SHIFT
SpaceX is developing a low latency, broadband internet system to meet the needs of consumers across the globe. Enabled by a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, Starlink will provide fast, reliable internet to populations with little or no connectivity, including those in rural communities and places where existing services are too expensive or unreliable.
We are looking for organized, creative, and driven supervisors to spearhead the production of injection molded parts that will be utilized in Starlink Kit hardware. The IMM production line is the latest addition to our internal production capabilities, and will enable SpaceX to continue rapid deployment of Starlink capabilities around the world.
As a Production Supervisor, you will manage a team of Associates and Process Technicians while working closely with tool technicians and manufacturing engineers, ultimately driving the transition from prototyping to full-scale production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and schedule Associates and Process Technicians and work with 2nd Shift Supervisor and Manager to address gaps
Interface with area leadership and prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals
Improve area safety and efficiency through regular auditing and continuous improvement
Enforce area standards and run rules (includes bi-annual reviews, development plans, and disciplinary action)
Coordinate support organization efforts to minimize production interruptions
Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications and coordinate the disposition of non-conforming product. Aid in investigations and root-cause analysis of any non-conformances
Establish and analyze area metrics for trend extrapolation to drive the following:
Personnel training and development
Development and implementation of efficiency improvement projects
Optimization of product flow through the factory
Root cause analysis and the implementation of corresponding corrective action plans
Identification and elimination of defects within the area value stream
Reduction of downtime for product and personnel
Support efforts to transition product from engineering development to full rate production
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing/testing environment
1+ years of experience leading a team or project

IT SERVICES TECHNICIAN II
SpaceX is looking for an experienced IT services technician with strong knowledge and experience in world class IT service delivery. Candidates must have experience working in organizations capable of meeting the demanding needs of -high caliber engineers- and supporting critical operations such as launch and mission operations and 24x7 manufacturing operations. This team delivers the complete life cycle of IT services for the staff at SpaceX, from on boarding and set up, to upgrade, installation, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of hardware and software solutions, asset recovery and protection. This team also has architectural responsibilities in the areas of end user computer infrastructure, printing, and conference room technologies.
The person in this position must have strong overall IT technical skills, while also having excellent customer services/interaction skills and superior organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be flexible and flourish in a fast paced and challenging environment. He or she should be a self-starter and have excellent motivation, leadership, and ingenuity to excel at this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide 1st and 2nd tier support to SpaceX employees.
Install and configure computers, telephones, and other common technology/devices for new and existing SpaceX employees.
Provide after-hours or weekend support when necessary to perform high-risk or planned downtime of SpaceX IT systems for upgrades and maintenance.
Support SpaceX with the regular maintenance of monitoring, backup, and infrastructure systems.
Take on higher-level strategic projects when tactical projects stall. Areas can include network administration, systems administration, high-performance computing, information security, etc.
Write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas in terms that non-technical people can understand.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
3+ years of professional experience building, deploying and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, printers, software, and IP networks within a mid to large enterprise environment.
Experience supporting Microsoft technologies.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field.
A+, Network+, MCSE, and other technical certifications.
Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
Comfortable working with mission critical and sensitive systems, with a sense of urgency appropriate to the responsibilities.

VESSEL ENGINEERING CREW, QMED (MARINE OPERATIONS)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead, and support the safe operation at sea and maintenance of vessel mechanical systems including propulsion, electrical, and auxiliary systems; roles could include duties as Qualified Member of Engineering Department (QMED) aboard 100 Ton vessels
Work with the vessel's master and/or licensed officer for the bunkering of vessel fluids and management of vessel bilge, oil, and fuel resources
Responsible for supporting the cleanliness and upkeep standards of the vessel while onboard
Support planning and maintenance of logistical support that support ongoing operations and ensure full-life support of the SpaceX fleet of vessels
Work with Marine Operations team to ensure the highest standards of readiness by personally assisting in repairs or synchronizing support where required for tasks beyond the capabilities or capacity
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree
Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)/license with United States Coast Guard (USCG) QMED rating
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Current (non-expired) USCG license, and ability to pass relevant USCG examinations, federal facility background checks, re-certifications, and chemical testing
Bachelor's degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or other technical discipline
Knowledge of vessel management systems, safety management systems, and regulatory programs such as OPA 90, MARPOL, ABS classing, etc.
3+ years of professional experience working in an offshore, vessel role that deals with examinations or licensing-efforts with US Coast Guard (USCG) and/or American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) regulations
Willingness to sail, if needed to support off-shore missions depending on resources available
Willing to work outdoors and in maritime environments, and able to work flexible hours during mission support periods

The supply chain team is responsible for the sourcing, planning, procurement, warehousing, and transportation of all raw materials and components needed to build our revolutionary spacecraft and launch vehicles. Our mission is to get the right part in the right place at the right time, every time.
The supply chain reliability engineering team is chartered with global quality surveillance of the supply base, reducing supply chain risk through external evaluations and internal risk reviews, leading failure investigations and proactively driving source qualification activities.
As an Avionics supply chain reliability engineer, you manage and lead cross functional risk activities to meet technical, production, and regulatory requirements at the point of qualification and throughout the supplier's lifecycle. You would be responsible for monitoring for known and unknown supplier flight risk and driving failure investigations to resolve issues immediately and effectively. As supplier surveillance activities deal with suppliers that support all areas of SpaceX, you would build an extensive network within materials and processing, build reliability, production, supply chain management, and a deep understanding of SpaceX systems and processes. This experience would enable you to become a critical voice in the development of group and company strategy.

Maintain holistic supply chain capabilities knowledge and work with cross-functional teams to drive improved verification and changes for improved reliability
Partner with design, test, and manufacturing through product development and production to ensure the reliability of Avionics parts (i.e. controllers, RIOs, sensors, RF, power systems, solar arrays, wire harnessing, etc.)
Responsible for tracking yield, test/inspection escapes, and ensuring past failures and lessons learned are incorporated into NPI
Utilize schematics, test equipment, inspection processes, etc. to perform structured electrical root cause analysis of failures identified during the development and production processes to inform design/manufacturing changes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN
You will have the opportunity to support several programs including Falcon 9, Dragon, and other SpaceX projects. We have multiple openings across different teams. Individuals may have the opportunity to work in the following, but not limited to: Falcon, Dragon, composites, subassemblies, and machine shop.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Modification, repair, assembly, and installation of the rocket and spacecraft.
Use tooling holes, pilot holes, or by hand (as required), per drawing or tooling instructions.
Align parts and secure in place using clecos or tooling/hand clamps.
Check for good edge margins and alignment.
Shim and/or trim parts as required.
Select drill bits, reamers and/or countersinking tools for pilot and full size holes.
Locate, drill pilot holes using drill motor and proper size drill bit(s).
Drill, ream, countersink full size holes in parts/assemblies, in proper sequence and to correct size using drill motor.
Set countersinking tools to proper depth as required.
Disassemble parts and deburr holes using chip chasers, deburring tools, and files to prepare for installation of fasteners.
Use solvents to clean surfaces prior to sealing or assembly.
Apply sealant, alodine, primer, adhesives, special finishes.
Load and unload ovens to bond detail parts to assemblies.

Our software engineers are responsible for the life cycle of the software they create, including design trades, development, testing, and operational support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement the highly available, secure, software and networks that play key roles in the operation of SpaceX vehicles for long periods of time with minimal maintenance
Deploy, upgrade, and scale our suite of mission critical services through site reliability principles
Engage in and improve the whole life cycle of services, from design through deployment and operation
Closely collaborate with other software engineers and engineering disciplines to design robust and maintainable services
Develop prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints
Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of professional experience with site reliability or developing and managing software infrastructure at scale
Experience with the Linux operating system
Strong understanding of security and networking protocols (TLS, TCP/IP, DNS)
Experience with large-scale application deployment and management systems such as Kubernetes
Capable of debugging software applications and infrastructure
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering

As a Sr. RF Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for simulating and modeling the communication systems for the next generation of satellites and Earth Stations by helping to define their architectures and specifications. Your expertise will shape SpaceX's capabilities to provide high quality communication services around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Simulate and model communication systems
Work with system architects, RF engineers, antenna engineers, modem/DSP, and ASIC engineers to partition functions between hardware and software domains
Assess feasibility of various designs in support of architecture definition
Derive top level specifications for RF links and RF and antenna subsystems
Characterize and analyze system performance
Provide technical support to regulatory, coordination, and market access teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

RF ENGINEER, STARLINK REGULATORY
Starlink will provide high-speed broadband around the world. Telecommunication is a heavily regulated business and this position will advise SpaceX on legal and policy advocacy to ensure these regulations enable and protect the provision of this ground-breaking service. This position will require you to apply expertise and focus to advance Starlink's licensing and spectrum position in front of domestic and global regulators and government bodies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive technical analyses pertaining to radio frequency interference, satellite spectrum coordination, and broadband issues.
Draft and maintain international (ITU) regulatory filings that represent Starlink's RF requirements.
Provide RF technical support in the drafting process for pleadings, letters, and other advocacy pieces to promote SpaceX's policy positions.
Interface with internal engineer teams to ensure Starlink's technical requirements and spectrum policies are reflected in external policy agenda, such as in papers presented at the ITU's World Radio Communications Conference.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
