We are looking for an individual seasoned in creating learning journeys for our customers. We deliver physical and virtual learning to our customers and some internal students on a daily basis. This position will be a part of our 'Edu-tainment' team and will work with our customers each day in the classroom to develop their skillsets further.

This Sr. Learning Consultant position will be based at our Chicago IL, Detroit MI, or Alpharetta GA location. Alternatively, this role is available remotely, but will deliver classes across the US.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Conducting courses for customers and employees, using predefined or customized course documentation.

  • Independently solving problems which might occur during course conduction.

  • Customizing course documentation for customer specific courses.

  • Striving to maintain high customer satisfaction (NPS and SSI).

  • Leading 12 or more participants in their Learning Journey.

  • Acting as a technical leader for other Instructors and Consultants.

  • Multiply experiences from participation in train-the-trainer workshops. Transfer methodological-didactic competence to partner instructors.

Electrification & Automation

The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.

We are looking for a Factory Project Manager. This position will be Onsite in Wendell, NC.

The Factory Project Manager will report into the Wendell NC Operational Excellence (Work Team) which is responsible for operational process planning and implementation of key strategic manufacturing improvements within the Siemens Wendell NC factory to achieve start-up, stabilization, and growth of electromechanical assembly operations. This role will report directly to the Wendell Factory Operational Excellence Manager, on a team consisting of Manufacturing (Industrial) Engineers. This role will work closely with the knowledgeable M.E. for the technical specifics of each project. This Project Manager role is NOT an IT Project Manager, although factory digitalization will be a major focus.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Developing business plans that define the benefit, costs, schedule, scope, and risks of a project

  • Executing projects within the defined requirements (e.g., budget, time, functionality)

  • Ensuring the benefits as stated in the business case can be achieved - this is typically quality levels, capacity output, delivery timeliness, and financial realization of benefit (ROI)

  • Ensuring timely decisions on open issues, identification of risks, escalating if necessary.

  • Preserving and potentially improving, the return on investment initially established by the first phases of the project by synergizing and learning through the implementation.

  • Providing stakeholders insight and feedback throughout the project lifecycle

  • Drive process improvements aligned with desired stakeholder outcomes

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to implement strategic changes in plant-level physical and digital processes, from order configuration to production and delivery.

  • Success measured by the successful start-up, integration, and sustained use of new processes in a complex manufacturing environment.

  • Support the start-up of new assembly lines at the Wendell Factory.

  • Drive dock-to-dock material flow and logistics optimization projects.

Digitalization Champion Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Siemens' digital tools to solve day-to-day operational challenges.

  • Drive system enhancements and develop new solutions with other subject matter experts (SMEs).

  • Interface closely with the SI EA Business Excellence team to intake opportunities for toolset changes or expansions.

  • Identify digitalization opportunities and facilitate the development of solutions through appropriate resources (without performing the development work personally).

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Project Management (PM) experience (scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, prioritizing, risk identification and mitigation)

  • PMI certification or begin cert path within first three months of start date

  • Experience with Lean material flow principles

  • Ability to work autonomously without constant supervision

  • Prefer experience in the electrical apparatus / power distribution and control industry

  • Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification

  • Attend industry specific networking events and actively participate in organizations as a representative for SIEMENS in the electrical service market and develop and maintain a qualified funnel of electrical service opportunities with emphasis on pipeline management (award and execution dates)

  • Deliver on forecasted results consistently and be capable of identifying and qualifying powers system study opportunities with follow-up remediation, electrical service projects focused on low (600 V) and medium voltage (5-38kV) for both greenfield and brownfield, electrical service agreements, and product refurbishment/retrofit/upgrade opportunities

  • Position Siemens as an industry leader among electrical service providers and position electrical service as a key Siemens differentiator to customers and prospects and early involvement with target customers to influence their specifications and drive the acceptance of our electrical products and service solutions

  • Work jointly with the multiple levels of the customer's organization to understand and document their business goals and how success is measured. Align the customers objectives with services to ensure that their electrical systems perform as required to achieve their business goals and support the development of value-based sales proposals, and estimates. Work with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources as needed to complete a compelling proposal and close the sale

  • Ensure an accurate and timely sales to operations turnover and monitors progress. Assist with conflict management and improving customer satisfaction. Stay involved with the customer to grow the Service Agreement when renewed by proposing additional customer valued services from the comprehensive Siemens portfolio

  • Assist customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommends suitable resolutions accordingly and successfully collaborate with product and service regional business developers and other local sales channels/account managers to drive mutual growth

  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes

  • Travel overnight up to 50% for training and business development

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or another related technical degree, with at least 7+ years of sales, business development, or consulting within the electrical industry experience

  • Strong technical and commercial knowledge of electrical distribution equipment (120V- 38,000V) systems and applications required, preferably within all previously mentioned targeted markets

  • Must be willing and available to travel 50% overnight for training and business development

  • Financial expertise to estimate and sell technical solutions and service offerings effectively and independently

  • Account development and strategic sales skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and excellent organizational, presentation, and negotiation skillswith proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violationsto participate in the required Siemens vehicle reimbursement program (FAVR)

Position Overview:

Customer Service in Siemens Mobility, Inc. is seeking a reliable professional to coordinate and maintain material movement from the Siemens Mobility, Inc Distribution Center in New Castle, DE. The Materials Handler will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on customer orders and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory. As a member of the Warehouse Team the incumbent will report directly to the Warehouse Manager in the Supply Chain Management Department of Customer Service in Siemens Mobility, Inc.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Fosters collaboration between the Warehouse and other pillars of the SCM.

  • Receiving & Put-Away of incoming deliveries.

  • Building of Production Orders to KIT materials.

  • Shipping of material via LTL & Freight.

  • Cycle Counting of materials within the Warehouse.

  • Processing of Repair & Aftermarket materials.

  • Required education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

  • Required professional experience: Previous experience with inventory management, warehouse operations and carrier communication / coordination.

  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Suite applications.

Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic leader to head our research group within the Technology Field of -Advanced Manufacturing and Circularity- at Siemens Foundational Technologies. Key Responsibilities:

Focus on the circular economy of rare earth elements/critical materials essential for clean energy production, aircraft electric and hybrid vehicles, low-energy lighting, and more.

  • Synergistic Development: Leverage concurrent areas of recycling, design/simulation, and validation testing of recycled materials to improve REE/CM extraction from domestic sources, particularly end-of-life batteries and manufacturing scrap.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of Supervisory Experience : Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience or program/project management engagement leading teams in an R&D environment.

  • Proven Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to lead a research group, manage a budget exceeding $5 million, and guide up to 10 researchers and project managers.

The Coach Sub Assembly Manufacturing Manager will join our growing factory in Sacramento where we manufacture passenger coaches, locomotives and light rail vehicles. In this role you will be responsible to manage the high paced electrical sub-assembly and mechanical pre-assembly teams working across three shifts.

We are looking for someone who can take this team to new levels, improving the shop floor safety, refining product quality, reducing TAKT times, standardizing work, increasing production output, and reducing overall cost.

What your day-to-day may look like:

  • Coordinate with support functions (Quality, Engineering, Scheduling, Procurement) and internal customers to ensure the entire team is aligned & working together to solve problems and meet commitments

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Five years of production supervision experience

  • Knowledge of the processes required to build electrical panels and racks, including device mounting, wire routing, and wire termination.

  • Experience implementing changes in a manufacturing environment to improve safety, quality, schedule and cost

  • Effective coaching, leadership, communication and team-building skills for hourly workforce

  • Ability to interpret engineering schematics, wire lists and drawings, and to evaluate parts or assemblies against engineering requirements

Requirements : Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in an Industrial Engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following: Working in the rail business including light rail, heavy rail, or related production; Working with vehicle production in welding or assembly processes: rail, aviation, automotive naval, or heavy equipment; Utilizing and implementing lean methods and tools such as 5s, root cause analysis and corrective actions, Yamazumi Methods, and Kanban; Working with Factory Planning Methods; Project management such as developing project plans, timelines, budgets, proposed layouts, resource requirements, or calculating ROI.

Position overview:

As a Material Handler, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic, high energy warehouse environment providing all material to production departments for manufacturing the best rail vehicles in the world.

What your day would look like:

  • Specific responsibilities may include receiving, putting away, picking, kitting, or delivering materials to production.

  • Ensure transactional accuracy for all material movements, making sure the correct quantity of material is moved to the specified location and that MRP system transactions are completed correctly.

  • Properly identify all materials with appropriate labels and part numbers.

  • Handle materials carefully to prevent any damage during warehouse handling or delivery to production.

  • Immediately notify your supervisor of any quality or delivery issues.

  • Ensure an accurate and timely sales to operations turnover and monitors progress. Assist with conflict management and improving customer satisfaction.   • As a GL Busway Assembler, your responsibilities will include performing repetitive assembly operation to include:

  • Placing parts in specified relationship to each other.

  • Bolting, screwing or fastening parts together using hand tools or powered tools.

  • Testing and adjusting as needed.

  • Detecting, reporting and documenting unusual conditions, defective material or specific problems related to quality, safety and delivery.

  • The ability to work in a team, multi-task, cross-train and perform within production requirements is required.

  • Performing other work per Supervisor's direction.

Basic Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience desired but is not required

Fire Alarm Systems Service Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. As aFire Alarm Systems Service Technician, you will:

  • Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements

  • Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs

  • Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material

  • Code Compliance: Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards

  • Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 2 within 12 months

  • Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies
