We are looking for an experienced detection and response analyst to join our US-based team as Detection and Response Analyst, US. We are building the next generation of cyber detection and response capabilities to enable and protect VMware as we continue to grow.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

You will be part of VMware's US-based regional Detection and Response Team (DART), working closely with a highly technical team in the next phase of growth as we protect VMware. Specifically:

• Participate in detection and response operations for the US team across both enterprise and multi-cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform).

• Identify visibility gaps and drive improvements to our current processes to ensure effective detection and response to cyber threats.

• Actively collaborate with security and engineering teams to drive prevention and detection requirements across our services, applications, and infrastructure.

• Build trusted relationships to support our key stakeholders across the business.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

• Provide primary triage, analysis, and operational support for security events and alerts.

• Respond to colleague inquiries and manage escalations, advise on compliance with VMware information security policies.

• Coordinate and communicate regional team shift handovers and incident documentation as part of the global Detection and Response Team (DART).

• Participate in processes and continuous monitoring controls related to security monitoring for various US public sector compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC, DFARS).

• Work closely with the Security Intelligence and Response Team (SIRT) to ensure effective response to security incidents and support for operational threat intelligence.

• Provide regional technical leadership and drive communications during incident response within US time zones across all levels of the organization, from technical teams to executive leadership.

• Collaborate with other regional teams on development and management of detection and response operational process framework and related playbooks for daily operations.

• Contribute to requirements definition, evaluation, and implementation for detection and response tools and capabilities, process automation, and security logging standards.

• Maintain highly collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including legal, privacy, IT, operations, and engineering teams to lead security change across the business.

• Maintain knowledge and understanding of the current cyber threat landscape and emerging cyber threats.

Finance Manager - Sales Finance - Forecasting

This Finance Manager position in our Sales Finance Central team in Palo Alto provides an exciting opportunity to grow your career by supporting E-staff in the Sales Organization as well as Sales Finance. You will have opportunities to oversee and prepare key bookings related materials on an on-going basis, coordinate bookings forecast/actual bookings reviews with GEO, BU, and other stakeholders, and collaborate across Sales Finance teams in order to promote continuous improvement in our forecasting and tracking actual bookings processes. The candidate will liaise with our Bulgaria team for reporting deliverables and manage top deals and pipeline activities, as well as bookings adjustment requests that ultimately impact forecast and actuals. The role has a great level of visibility to E-staff and, as a result, the right candidate needs to have excellent organization and communication skills, as well as be highly detailed oriented and time & have strong project management skills.

You will prepare weekly bookings forecast and actuals reporting, track top deals, and review bookings adjustment requests. You will coordinate deal inspection and bookings update meetings. You will identify key business performance metrics and develop KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reporting. You will improve, streamline, and automate the reporting and operational processes.

This position will report to the Director of Partner GTM Acceleration. This growth role will be responsible for managing the partner incentive and investment operation team for VMware, to identify and execute on opportunities for development of operation excellences as well as facilitate program readiness in collaboration with worldwide Partner teams, worldwide business team and vendor teams. This position will report to the Director of Partner GTM Acceleration. Finance Manager - Sales Finance - Forecasting

This Finance Manager position in our Sales Finance Central team in Palo Alto provides an exciting opportunity to grow your career by supporting E-staff in the Sales Organization as well as Sales Finance. You will have opportunities to oversee and prepare key bookings related materials on an on-going basis, coordinate bookings forecast/actual bookings reviews with GEO, BU, and other stakeholders, and collaborate across Sales Finance teams in order to promote continuous improvement in our forecasting and tracking actual bookings processes. The candidate will liaise with our Bulgaria team for reporting deliverables and manage top deals and pipeline activities, as well as bookings adjustment requests that ultimately impact forecast and actuals. The role has a great level of visibility to E-staff and, as a result, the right candidate needs to have excellent organization and communication skills, as well as be highly detailed oriented and time & have strong project management skills.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

You will prepare weekly bookings forecast and actuals reporting, track top deals, and review bookings adjustment requests. You will coordinate deal inspection and bookings update meetings. You will identify key business performance metrics and develop KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reporting. You will improve, streamline, and automate the reporting and operational processes.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

You will work on the following areas on a regular basis.

- Prepare and provide weekly bookings updates to Executives

- Prepare on-going business performance reporting packages (BOD, E-staff, others.)

- Coordinate and manage deal inspection, BU/Sales bookings update meetings

- Manage bookings adjustment requests by working with Sales Ops, Sales Finance, and Bookings Ops teams

- Support quarter-end bookings forecast management in coordination with Revenue Accounting team

- Support ad-hoc bookings reporting/analytics in collaboration w/ Bulgaria team.

- Cross-functional collaboration across Geo Sales Finance, Geo Sales Operations, Corporate Finance, and Revenue Accounting.

For these assignments, you will leverage the following skills to be successful.

- Superior software and system skills (e.g. SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel) a must. Tableau, Oracle EBS, Hyperion and other FP&A tools experience is a plus.

- Attention to details in the analysis of results and drivers of bookings performance

- Strength in researching, understanding, and succinctly explaining bookings trends, Y/Y growth analysis, and bookings linearity performance as well as complex transactions and business impact

- Strong ability to visualize data, ability to organize data that will facilitate executive reviews, and design and complete meaningful reporting packages

- Ability to build analytical models that can be expanded and implemented into existing reporting processes

- Proficiency in computer-based analysis and complex financial modeling

- Strong initiative and desire to work in a global team-oriented environment

- Self-starter with excellent time and project management skills

- Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

This role will report to the Finance Director in Central Sales Finance team, and the Finance Director's management style is to empower team members by providing guidance and support and removing roadblocks.

The Central Sales Finance team is a small team of highly motivated, hard-working finance professionals, and we emphasize collaboration and mutual respect. The team works flexible hours while still being available. There is a heavier intensity on the working schedule towards the end of each fiscal quarter and during the reporting period. We work closely with all finance and sales ops organizations.

Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable commute of the office.
