The Opportunity
As a dedicated Data Modeler (Senior), you will get to work with P&C Data & Analytics and help define the strategy and vision of our data modeling practice. This position holds the responsibility to design, enhance, and maintain quality logical and physical database designs that meet business requirements and ensure maximum application data quality and performance. Facilitate and participate in all phases of the data development lifecycle; review and analyze requirements, maintain both logical and physical data model objects. Facilitates and participate in cross functional teams to clarify and conform data requirements and business rules around data with their data stewards, business teams, and Information technology partner teams. Ensure data models are meeting the USAA guidelines for data modeling, metadata requirements, attribute name and type creation. Viewed as senior resource in given field for department and or unit. Provides technical advice to lower-level associates and other functional areas.

What you'll do:
Leads and/or engineers the full cycle of data solutions from analysis, solution design, data pipeline engineering, testing, deployment, scheduling, and production support.
Designs and implements highly-complex technical solutions for data engineering and analytic systems using new methodologies and emerging technologies.
Designs, builds, manages and optimizes data pipelines for data structures encompassing data transformation, data models, schemas, metadata, data quality, and workload management.
Leads design reviews for the team and provides recommendations using innovative architectural concepts and principals.
Breakdowns business features into technical stories and approaches. Presents to leadership and influences on technical solutions.
Creates proof of concepts and prototypes on highly complex solutions and presents to leadership to deliver on vision for solution.
Collaborates with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to lead technical solutions.
Implements efficient defect management, root cause analysis, and resolution processes.
Helps develop, maintain, and enforce the company's data development tools and standards. Conduct code reviews on a regular basis to improve quality and ensure compliance
Creates the development of data pipelines, extracting data from our various applications (internal & external sources) into the Data Platform.
Assists in setting technical direction for the team and serves a mentor to team members.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 years of data engineering, data analysis or software development experience implementing data solutions with at least 2 years of data engineering or data management experience.
Proven experience with end to end delivering of data solutions that includes building, managing, and optimizing data pipelines across cloud environments; curating and modeling the data for various types of consumers/products and their pattern of usage to include data marts, data lake, and operational analytic applications.
Strong understanding of the agile principles and ability to apply them.
Extensive knowledge and experience in SQL and Relational Databases.
Proficient in working with Cloud technologies and tools.
What sets you apart:
6 or more years hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling within Erwin or comparable data modeling tool
6 or more years of developing models and or reverse engineering relationships from database platforms (snowflake, oracle, sql server, etc...)
4 or more years of experience working with P&C Data (Financial,Claims,Policy, etc..) Guidewire expertise a plus
Knowledge of data modeling principles including conceptual, logical data models, physical data models
Experience working with relational data models
Knowledge of metadata management and related tools
Strong communication skills

The salary range for this position is: $109,130-208,580 .

Ensure alignment between internal stakeholders and customers across all business process projects and services using proactive communication and engagement strategies.
Utilize reporting, data, and analytics to measure process and project performance, deliver process operational efficiencies, and inform key stakeholders.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:

6 years business process execution/knowledge/experience, consulting, and/or process engineering/optimization.
Experience in successfully applying quality management, process improvement, and problem-solving tools and methodologies.

Experience in the application of process management standards and policies, and knowledge of applicable regulations and risk management practices.
Demonstrated experience with Lean, Business Process Management, or similar methodology.
Demonstrated experience with utilizing various systems to collect and analyze data.

The Opportunity
Leads, develops, coordinates, and ensures the implementation of first line of defense Risk management programs and framework to ensure Risk data is captured. Develops Risk mitigation strategies and controls, and partners with and engages the Enterprise Risk Management COE. Develops and oversees the implementation, development, and maintenance of controls, Risk management programs and framework
Provides direction and guidance for the implementation, development, and maintenance of the internal and external vendor governance framework

The Opportunity
As a dedicated Business Risk and Controls Advisor Senior, you will identify and assess risks across the enterprise. Positioned in the first line of defense, The Risk Identification Assessment Profile (RIAP) program connects several risk programs into one streamlined program to create a continuous, simplified process that optimizes the measurement and reporting of USAA's risks.
You will partner and collaborate with Compliance and Risk Management, as well as Business Operations, IT, Audit Services, and Regulators to support risk and compliance-based initiatives. You will be responsible for supporting business leader adherence to the established risk framework and ongoing supervision of business controls including risk and control self-assessments, identification, and evaluation of control effectiveness, identifying control failures, facilitating remediation, internal and external audits and regulatory exams, and monitoring of risk exposures and strengthen the overall control environment. Lead and drive solutions for stronger controls, and in support of risk and/or regulatory compliance related initiatives which may include oversight of procedures/process, accurate regulatory reporting and filing, document governance, risk control self-assessments, procedure governance, control design, new product controls, Company or Staff Agency Third Party Governance, or quality governance.
Perform ongoing supervision and oversight of controls and shares knowledge with team members to evaluate the effectiveness of established business controls.
Responsible for risk data analysis, report preparation and trend analysis, using business intelligence tools.
Anticipate business needs and proactively finds opportunities to improve and strengthen the control environment through actionable insights.
Assist with translating control deficiencies into action plans and provides recommendations to enhance governance practices in alignment with frameworks.

Possible Internship Assignments:
Information Stewardship and Data Governance: Manages CFO Information assets and remedies gaps related to Enterprise Data Governance requirements. creates and implements data monitoring rules using a variety of techniques and tools, supports data management efforts in adherence to USAA internal policies, standards, procedures, and external laws and regulations.
Business Intelligence: Analyzes business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to analysts and decision makers. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.

As a dedicated Business Risk and Controls Advisor Senior, you will identify and assess risks across the enterprise. Positioned in the first line of defense, The Risk Identification Assessment Profile (RIAP) program connects several risk programs into one streamlined program to create a continuous, simplified process that optimizes the measurement and reporting of USAA's risks.

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
4 years' relevant property claims adjusting experience that includes writing estimates of moderate-highly complex claims and field adjusting experience.
2 years' experience handling dwelling claims.
Successfully acquire Property & Casualty (P&C) adjuster license and state registrations within 90 days of hire.
Proficient knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating platform. Expert knowledge estimating losses of moderate complexity.
Advanced knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law.
Proficient knowledge of residential construction.
Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to travel 50-75% of the year (local & non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed.
Physical Demand Requirements:
May require the ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds to include lifting a ladder in and out of the trunk of a car.

The Opportunity
As a dedicated Property Adjuster Specialist , you will work within established guidelines and framework to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle complex property insurance claims presented by or against our members. Property Adjuster Specialist focus on using technology and desk adjusting for a virtual first approach to inspections and claims handling. USAA also provides a company vehicle to physically inspect losses within your locally assigned territory. Proactively manages assigned claims caseload comprised of complex damages that require commensurate knowledge and understanding of claims coverage including potential legal liability.
Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate complex claims resolution. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources. May identify and resolve potential discrepancies and identifies subrogation potential resulting from unusual characteristics.

The Opportunity
As a dedicated Fraud Governance Advisor Senior, you will promote risk and compliance-awareness and the overall effectiveness of risk and compliance management programs, risk analytics and operations in the Financial Crimes Organization. You will partner and collaborate with Compliance and Risk Management, as well as Business Operations, IT, Audit Services, and Legal to support risk and compliance-based initiatives. You will be responsible for supporting business leader adherence to the established risk framework to ensure documents, programs, processes, procedures and product initiatives align with regulatory, legal requirements, and fraud policies and standards; including process, risk and control inventory (PRCI), risk and control self-assessments (RCSA), identification and evaluation of control effectiveness, identifying control failures, facilitating risk and compliance remediation, and monitoring of the first line of defense to minimize risk exposures and strengthen the overall control environment. You will manage risk assessment data and use critical thinking to identify key data-driven insights tied to first line of defense.
What you'll do:
Guides and facilitates cross-functional team members in the implementation, management, and oversight of fraud risk management workstreams, projects and solutions.
Applies subject matter expertise of fraud risk management requirements, policies, laws, and regulations to influence business strategies and solutions and advise the business on how to strengthen and lead fraud risk requirements on business action plans, projects, or operational requests.
Contributes to the execution of risk assessments with business partners and the lines of business to resolve impact and solutions.
Identifies operational inefficiencies and emerging fraud management risks, compliance, and control issues in the operating environment, concurrent with implementing action plans to mitigate business impact.
Provides guidance to functional areas within Enterprise Fraud Management on regulatory requirements and requests to ensure proper execution of conduct examinations.

Proven knowledge of relevant laws, regulatory, compliance, industry regulations and regulatory data sources.
Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities requiring a high attention to detail to identify fraud risks and trends.
