The Opportunity
What you'll do:
We are seeking a dedicated Program Project Manager I (Mid Level).
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Chesapeake, VA; Charlotte, NC or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Facilitates and engages in the planning, execution, and delivery of low to moderately complex non-IT work efforts intended to accomplish business goals and objectives within prescribed timeframes and budgets. Demonstrates a proficient understanding of how activities contribute to the achievement of strategic business goals and operational objectives. Collaborates with key stakeholders, vendors and project/program teams to identify mutually beneficial outcomes for competing priorities and negotiate timelines to ensure objectives are met.
Works closely with cross-functional teams and resources to achieve multiple program and project milestones within established timeframes.
Assists in the planning and coordination activities for low to moderately complex and work efforts through the development of plans intended to accomplish goals and objectives within prescribed timeframes, scope and budgets.
Assists in ensuring consistent visibility for teams by monitoring and reporting business objectives, /work efforts achievements, and key indicators.
Identifies and removes obstacles and impediments to ensure team objectives are met.
Develops and tracks project budgets that may include necessary capital expenditures, operational expenses, and labor funding requirements.
Ensures compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
Assists in the creation of the master work efforts plan from the underlying plans (if applicable).
Supports senior Program / Project Managers in scheduling, prioritization and sequencing for work efforts.
Establishes overall cadence for communication with impacted stakeholders, and provides framework for underlying work efforts(s) communication plans.
Participates in creation and adherence to business case.
Participates in work effort closure activities to determine benefit / business impact realization.
Assists in managing risk by using risk management practices to address execution challenges associated with quality, schedule and cost, in adherence with risk management framework.
Adheres to EPMO processes, procedures, controls, standards, tools and templates (as required).
Adheres to governance rigor required for work effort.
Supports driving the adoption and sustainment of changes within the organization in compliance with USAA's Change Management methodology.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree (8 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
4 years of experience in project or program management, including planning, tracking and delivery.
Knowledge and demonstrated application of project management tools and methodologies.
Possess an understanding of scope definition, process and solution mapping; process structures and components; and standard project planning methodologies.
Understanding of risk management policies and procedures.

The salary range for this position is: $74,210-$141,830 .

Works with business and Subject Matter Experts to understand business strategy and vision and then writes, refines, accepts and prioritizes stories and/or features to support effective and compliant solutions while balancing investment and business value.
Owns and maintains a prioritized work backlog for one or more Agile teams. Product backlog includes complete user stories with acceptance criteria so that they are consumable and testable by the Agile team or program. Reviews and accepts output of I/T and/or business development to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been completed.
Serves as direct representative of the business with one or more delivery teams, representing the customers' perspective throughout the product delivery cycle.
Participates in a cross-functional team of user experience partners, designers, business analysts, developers, testers and others to develop, execute and release in alignment with program and/or product road maps.
Partners with sponsors, stakeholders, and IT to facilitate, define and document relevant business processes, gaining an advanced understanding of the needs, measures, and risks & controls for the improvement area.
Prepares the business for the change and provides tactics and metrics for benefits, adoption, and risk. Leverages existing change management routines, as needed.
Works with different technologies, internal and external to have oversight of development, testing and controls.
Applies advanced knowledge in the business development/execution discipline, regularly seeking out opportunities to enhance, improve and advance the function.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, applicable databases and product management tools.
Advanced knowledge of multiple technical software delivery methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
Advanced experience analyzing business requirements, process flows and use cases to identify opportunities to streamline business processes in accordance with risk management framework and regulatory requirements.
Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of Process Engineering methodologies.
Advanced ability to independently work to gather business requirements, process flows and use cases to develop and deliver on business capabilities within the approved methodology, writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance.
Experience in analyzing business requirements and ability to identify opportunities to drive decisions and streamline business processes in accordance with risk management framework and regulatory requirements.

As a dedicated Intermediate Fraud Prevention and Detection Specialist, you will, within defined guidelines and framework, apply basic analytical skills on high risk financial and non-financial transactions to detect and prevent fraudulent activities for a wide range of enterprise financial products and services. You will review and respond to suspected fraudulent service requests, queues, and transaction records to identify potentially fraudulent transactions or accounts as well as identify problems and issues by performing relevant research using the appropriate tools and by following established procedures.
This hybrid role requires an individual to be in the office 3 days per week. This position is based in the following locations San Antonio, Tx. Tampa, Fl., Colorado Springs, Co. and Phoenix, AZ.

Leverages a variety of fraud management tools and systems and applies proficient knowledge to identify and investigate suspicious financial and non-financial activity on a wide range of products and services.

Possesses multi product, system, and/or process knowledge and effectively uses it to prevent, detect and mitigate fraudulent activity across multiple products and services.

What you have:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
1 year of fraud prevention/detection experience in a financial services environment.

In this role, you will be a major part of our Enterprise Compliance and Operational Risk Testing (ECORT) team. 6 or more years of validated experience within (internal/external audit, operational risk/compliance testing, quality assurance) banking, insurance, or other similar financial services industries.
Shown knowledge of relevant industry regulations and regulatory compliance in a specific area of scope.
Proven experience interpreting and applying federal and state laws and regulations and guidance on operational risk principles/frameworks.
Advanced knowledge of risk-based testing or auditing techniques and data analysis principles, as well as the ability to interpret subsequent results.
Shown ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

As a dedicated Technical Fellow Executive, you will be responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions and defining solutions to business problems through reasoned application of information technology specifically for the Life Insurance business and Corporate Shared Services such as IT, CFO and Legal. Designs, develops, and analyzes overall architecture of internal systems, including hardware and software. As a dedicated Development Product Owner Senior, you will serve as a direct representative of the business on an agile team.
