Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing executive support and generating reports and supporting communication needs as requested by Sales Operations. He/She ensures report data is accurate and increases the awareness of strategic account performance to stakeholders. This position documents and trains others on production of standard routine reports, solves business problems related to decision tools and reports, and actively develops and maintains a network of UPS contacts who can help solve problems.

Qualifications:

  • Detail Orientation: Distinguishes between -big picture- concepts and comments and specialized, smaller specific facts associated with work; notes the specifics of events and experiences; explains, in general, how details impact end goals or outcomes; ensures that work is completed accurately and with the appropriate level of detail

  • Report Generation: Addresses and resolves issues impacting information systems reporting; looks for ways to minimize report generation and required storage; modifies existing report formats; creates and interprets customized reports; integrates data, information, and documents from multiple software programs; writes more complex report queries

  • Solicits and Gathers Information: Demonstrates a general knowledge of techniques for soliciting and gathering information

This position is responsible for managing UPS Small Package hub and sort activities. He/She is accountable for ensuring packages are sorted accurately and loaded onto appropriate trailers for movement to next location. This position ensures loads are dispatched on time and to the appropriate locations. He/She supervises unloaders, sorters, and part-time supervisors. This position analyzes load forecast volume projections to ensure adequate staffing, and reviews daily operational reports to manage productivity and performance. He/She also collaborates with hub and feeder management to plan peak season and special sort activities. This position meets with union representatives to improve employee relations and minimize issues. He/She also monitors results of tests to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and agencies, ensures training documentation complies with requirements, and holds direct reports accountable for on-the-job health and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates across functions to ensure equipment is serviced.

  • Supports staffing and pre-sort plans.

  • Ensures packages are sorted correctly.

  • Collaborates with feeder and dispatch operations to ensure loads for large accounts are sorted and built according to service agreements.

  • Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.

  • Provides feedback and support.

  • Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred

  • Legal, regulatory, and safety compliance knowledge - Preferred

SHIFT YOUR SKILLS

So, what does it take to make it through abusy shift delivering boxes of all shapes and sizes to homes and businesses inyour community and beyond?

. The ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

. Valid driver's license-no CDL required (License type varies by state)

. Pass the DOT physical

. Excellent customer service and driving skills

. Legal right to work in the U.S.

. Casual Package Delivery Drivers are expected to comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform

Full-time UPS employees work eight to ten hours per day and workdays can vary (Monday - Friday) or (Tuesday - Saturday) depending on the business needs.

Who exactly are UPS Tractor Trailer Drivers?

First and foremost, they're part of one strong, national team and are a key part of our operations. We refer to them as Feeder Drivers. They drive a tractor trailer from one UPS location to another-or to a customer on an established route-before returning to their original location. Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

This position performs general in-person onboarding related tasks such as new hire I-9 validation, collection of local tax and union forms, and compliance related document processing. This position utilizes programs to ensure the seamless integration of candidates into the workforce. This position confirms and validates hiring plans with the hiring manager and supports the external partner for the execution of the external hiring plan. This position identifies onboarding inefficiencies and provides insight and recommendations for improving processes. This position completes documentation of new hires throughout the onboarding process and handles confidential information. This position manages the internal bid processes to include the internal vs. external hiring ratio and preparing internal candidates per compliance guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Performs pre-boarding/onboarding activities and programs (e.g., I-9, validate background checks, coordinates scheduling, support biometrics and fingerprinting, etc.)

- Posts, collects, and audits bid list, ensures accurate hiring ratio, performs Driver Qualification Files (DQF; e.g., licensing, background check, schedules road test, drug screening for Feeder drivers, etc.).

- Keeps internal candidate notes on the bid files.

- Coordinates drug screening for drivers

- Assists with Integrad list of drivers for internal drivers

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

- Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office product (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote)

- Relevant HR experience

- Ability to travel and work in multiple locations

Preferences:

- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent

- Previous UPS experience
