The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and timely with correct withholding and deductions. They will utilize basic payroll principles, tax regulations, and Workday to process complex multi-state payrolls, manage deductions and contributions, and maintain meticulous records. Serving as a key partner, the role will collaborate with staff across the organization to answer questions and resolve issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process all aspects of payroll, including on-cycle, off-cycle, mid-month, month-end, bonuses, and international payrolls, ensuring adherence to all TIH policies, IRS regulations, and final pay state laws.

  • Utilize Workday to process payroll, manage deductions (including 401k contributions), calculate retro pay, and perform earnings reconciliation.

  • Assist with calculating standard overtime and FLSA OT rates.

  • Employ Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB) to upload variable pay elements and wage adjustments, validating data integrity.

  • Review terminations accurately and timely, including calculating final pay and adhering to separation pay regulations.

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, ensuring accurate data for all stakeholders.

  • Assist with a wide variety of controls and audit functions to safeguard the integrity of payroll information.

  • Maintain comprehensive payroll records in electronic and paper formats for audit purposes.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients, addressing inquiries with payroll and accounting expertise.

  • Partner with team members to identify and implement efficiencies within the payroll process.

  • Participate in testing for Workday upgrades and configuration changes.

  • Answer questions from employees and/or supervisors regarding payroll.

  • Create and maintain SOPs as needed for current and new processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance & control, as well as continuous improvement of a portfolio of processes. The EOS Effectiveness & Support Team Lead is responsible for developing, evaluating, and executing a portfolio of optimization projects that will support major strategic changes within EOS.

The role will provide thought leadership and facilitate complex and comprehensive cross-functional initiatives consistent with Truist's objectives. This leader is responsible for the execution of corresponding business process quality control plans and change initiatives. Additionally, the role will interface with executive leadership and senior service delivery process and production leaders, as well as key business partners within technology, risk, lines of business, etc., to help shape process strategies for assigned services and operationalize changes.

The position may mentor and instruct teammates across the enterprise in the application of Business Process Management and associated tools or applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Plans and executes high-impact/complex cross-functional projects to improve processes, including leadership of major initiatives and providing direction to establish functions that are critical to successful operations including in-depth analysis of issues and requirements, governance plans, peer research, process design and documentation, leadership on system solutions, facilitation across internal departments and functions, and communications and change management strategies.

  2. Design, develop or modify process strategies in support of the line of business and product goals as well as specific organizational objectives to support client outcomes in alignment with business requirements.

  3. Develop and construct process workflows for assigned processed leveraging design mapping to support deployment into production environment.

  4. Leverage assessments of process performance outcomes to highlight opportunities for improvement in cycle times, process quality, production throughput, resource utilization and total cost of delivery.

  5. Develop and manage implementation plans to support roll out of people, process, tech changes into production for all assisted processes and areas.

  6. Leverage measures, metrics, SLAs and process engineering assessment and control approaches and tools to determine if assigned processes are preforming optimally and as designed.

  7. Responsible for ensuring improvement initiatives are tied to a measurable goal and that savings are realized. Measure and monitor return on investment of improvement projects to ensure organizational efficiency and profitability.

  8. Provide the appropriate reporting to facilitate communication with Regulators, as well as internal and external Audit functions to ensure understanding of the organization's strategic direction and to provide periodic briefings and status updates.

  9. Coaches and mentor's multiple teams in six sigma and project management tools. Educates and guides in the application of Business Process Management and associated tools or applications.

Required Qualifications:

Serve as primary relationship manager for a portfolio of financially complex client relationships within the defined mass affluent market segment within the Truist footprint. Utilize objective and sound personal financial planning and financial advisory concepts to develop and deepen relationships and provide an integrated delivery of a broad range of retail solutions including banking, mortgage, planning, investments, and insurance services.

Leverage the Truist network to generate client acquisition and develop ability to network externally to acquire clients and provide comprehensive advice and solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients. Sell, deliver and provide ongoing service for a broad range of fee income and retail banking products and services appropriate to mass affluent clients. Premier Bankers should deliver a level of personalized, attentive service that clients deem outstanding.

  2. Establish and periodically update understanding of client financial needs and conditions based upon sound profiling and personal financial planning analysis. Proactively work with the financial advisor on assigned investment accounts for adherence to investment and asset allocation objectives and policies.

  3. Keep abreast of changing economic, legal, financial planning, investment trends and general market and business issues impacting mass affluent clients. Serve as a personal financial planning/advisory resource for clients, their attorneys and Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).

  4. Meet revenue growth, profitability and retention goals by acquiring new clients, expanding services, and marketing new products to existing clients. Successfully participate in the sales management process, which includes, but is not limited to, the delivery of excellent client service behaviors, support of the Truist segmentation models, full use of the automated sales process and support of referral processes and guidelines. Monitor, maintain and update sales activity, pipeline and other pertinent information using the bank's contact management system.

  5. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with various Truist teammate product and service specialists (Integrated Relationship Management [IRM] partners) who are designated to support client service and development efforts (e.g. banking, mortgage, planning, investments, and insurance services). Ensure an integrated and seamless approach to developing, servicing and enhancing the client portfolio. Serve as an advocate for clients with the IRM partners.

  6. Establish and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with external centers of influence who will enhance business development efforts.

  7. Work within existing audit, compliance and regulatory framework in order to ensure a high quality, compliant portfolio of client relationships.

  8. Participate in the ongoing implementation and development of the Premier Banking program, including processes, products, services and operating policies and procedures. Provide mentoring to less experienced bankers in support of establishing a high level of professionalism, client service and responsiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  2. Minimum of six years of financial services experience with a demonstrated ability to meet minimum performance standards working with clients to deliver banking, investments, risk management and retail lending solutions. (Banking experience may include Retail, Wealth, Advisory, and/or Retail Lending experience) OR, 3 years' experience in a financial client relationship manager role.

  4. A minimum of Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 7, 66 (63 and 65 in lieu of 66) and applicable Insurance licenses (Life, Health, and Variable) must be active and maintained, or must be obtained within 100-150 days of job entry date. Active FINRA licenses must be transferred within 60 days of job entry date. Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant with 30 days of employment in this role, including new or transfer of registration, and applicable NMLS acceptable background check.

  5. Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills.

  6. Strong written, verbal and presentation skills including demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.

  7. Previous experience using financial planning software; demonstrated ability to deliver advisor led financial planning that addresses the following key areas - banking, planning, risk, investments and estate - for mass affluent clients.
