Metrics and KPIs
Implement US Quality Plan to monitor, track, and report on quality metrics/KPIs
Work collaboratively with US leadership to drive improvement in support of the US Quality Plan
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Development and implementation of the Quality Assurance Program in the Earth and Environment Business Line
Conduct Drop-in Assessments; support audit program
Support Business Line with project quality and proposals
Coach project teams on developing and implementing project quality plans, as well as corrective action plans
Partner with business line operations to monitor and report on compliance and progress through regular audits of above quality metrics
Participate in select Monthly Project Reviews (MPRs) and engage in recovery efforts where needed
Establish workflows for quality engagement in pursuits and project delivery
Collaborate with the technical leaders on standards and best practices for implementation specific to design services
Identify training needs in collaboration with operations leaders and deliver as required
Supervise, mentor, guide and oversee DQM performance (as needed)
Report quality concerns or deficiencies/improvements in QA/QC system to the Quality Director
Promote, guide and document award program nominations
Approve exceptions and modifications to mandatory business line QC requirements
Coordinate with project managers (PMs) and project delivery managers (PDMs) to ensure client surveys are conducted in a timely manner
Perform and document, as needed, root cause analysis, lessons learned / best practice reviews to support continuous improvement initiatives
Provide early notification to senior management and Quality Director on projects with Quality concerns or issues
Facilitate Quality training for all new employees and refresher training at required intervals
Meet and report regularly with the Quality Director to review metrics, schedules, action items and follow ups
Support National and Global Quality related continual improvement initiatives
Global audit support
Participates in project management and planning meetings
Participates with peers in sharing knowledge
Demonstrates commitment to keeping up-to date in technical knowledge of current and emerging practices
Ability to develop and manage high quality technical and professional deliverables on projects
Required Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in the field of Quality in multi-disciplinary activities including Construction, Engineering and Project Management.
5+ years in a management role working closely with leadership teams.
Working knowledge of Federal projects and programs.
Working knowledge of HSEQ integrated systems.
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Adept at using Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
BSc / MSc or equivalent HSEQ related qualification, preferred.
Internal / external auditing qualification, ISO 45001, 14001 or 9001, preferred.
Experienced with ISO certification requirements and coordination thereof, preferred.
Member of a professional body i.e. ASQ, IOSH etc. preferred.

WSP currently has an Engineering Project Manager career opportunity to support our remote Applied Solutions practice, which provides project management, construction management, and project controls support for environmental engineering and construction projects. This full-time position can be located anywhere in the United States.
The full-time Engineering Project Manager will lead a team of technical resources to execute commercial and federal projects primarily focused on environmental, sustainable, and remediation efforts. This position will provide exposure to various delivery models, such as engineering-procurement-construction-management (EPCM), engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), design-build, and design-bid-build.

- Communicating with clients to understand their objectives and assembling and leading a team of resources to successfully achieve those objectives within scope, schedule, budget, and safety requirements.
- Being the primary point of contact with clients and ensuring satisfactory progress is being made and, if necessary, promptly implementing corrective actions.
- Performing project related field tasks, attending key meetings, coordinating and overseeing subcontractors, providing project related field documentation, and performing a variety of technical activities during project planning, design, and construction.
- Developing and maintaining a project-specific risk register and proactively managing issues from kick-off through closeout.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules.
- Tracking project expenditures and accurately forecasting estimated costs at completion.
- Developing client and internal project reports to ensure projects are on schedule, on budget, performed safely, and comply with quality requirements.
- Coordinating the preparation and review of deliverables.
- Providing technical assistance such as interpreting specifications and applying technical standards to project-specific applications.
- Performing periodic site visits to confirm progress conforms to project's requirements.
- Reviewing and approving contractor/subcontractor payment applications. Maintaining up-to-date records, including correspondence, design direction, progress submittals, schedules, meeting documents, shop drawing review, test reports, as-built records, and other documents necessary to document engineering activities.
- Ensuring all project documents are stored on the designated shared drive and not on personal computers. Understanding and implementing document management and storage procedures for each project, as per policy.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- 7 - 10 years + of relevant project management experience.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, related degree, or equivalent experience in an engineering or construction-related position.
- Experience assembling and managing project teams to complete contract requirements, while ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule goals are achieved.
- Experience with construction plans and specifications and relating that to project scope, schedule, and cost.
- Experience being responsible for project financial performance and tracking and reporting on expenditures as well as forecasting estimated costs to complete.
- Self motivated with excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
- Ability to liaise between designers, owners, contractors, and end-users.
- Certifications preferred (PE, DBIA, PMP, CCM, etc.).

- Experience with construction plans and specifications and relating that to project scope, schedule, and cost.
- Experience being responsible for project financial performance and tracking and reporting on expenditures as well as forecasting estimated costs to complete.

Your Impact

Familiarity with design codes and standards including the IMC/UMC, NEC. NFPA, NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE and ASHRAE.
Work under mentorship and guidance of the Supervising Engineer.
Prepare substation plan and profile view, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, cable trench, cable trays, conduit layout and detail installation drawings.
Have knowledge of related disciplines/fields of engineering. Be comfortable operating within a multi-discipline design team.
Provide percent complete as well as Estimated Time to Completion when requested by project managers or lead engineers.
Provide input into improvement ideas during project execution and close-out.
Prepare technical specifications for the electrical equipment, evaluate proposals from vendors, and review vendor drawings.
Possess working knowledge of design software including AutoCAD, MicroStation (rarely), NavisWork, and SolidWorks. May be required to prepare or revise design drawings.

WSP is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Vice President, Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic South California Property & Buildings team. This position will be based out of our Irvine, CA office.
As Senior Vice President, Electrical Engineer you will provide regional and/or multi-sector leadership to ensure electrical engineering subject matter, technical deliverables, infrastructure projects and programs are delivered with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality. Your Impact

Extensive experience in multiple market sectors is preferred, especially with Life Science and Healthcare sectors. A deep understanding of OSHPD/HCAi codes and applications is especially important.
Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Construction Manager for our Richmond, VA office with experience providing construction and technical direction on building/facilities construction related projects. Our ideal candidate will have experience in construction oversight of small to medium, multi-discipline projects from the time of assignment to commissioning, close-out, and turnover to client.

Your Impact
Supporting the Project Manager in tendering works, bid reviews and bid analysis.
Managing construction projects upon award of contracts.
Contractor coordination.
Budget monitoring & schedule monitoring with adherence to cost and delivery contractual commitments.
Construction monitoring and thorough documentation of project delivering a weekly report on project status.
Maintaining a weekly construction log in a terse, professional format..
Record and document significant verbal, telephone, and media messaging
Quality control, documentation and resolution of poor-quality fabrication, installation or materials by general contractor, trade disciplines, and suppliers
Change order control, including detailed knowledge of change and contractual requirements.
Job safety, monitoring, and compliance with WSP and USPS's safety, health and environmental (SH&E) requirements
Project start-up meetings and documentation and attendance in meetings including safety program.
Manage and assist in responding to RFI's, material and equipment submittals and shop drawings.
Interface with client as required or defined for program.
Project turnover of documentation, to include but not limited to; as-built drawings, training manuals, OEM installation/ operation & maintenance manuals.
Equipment and systems testing and commissioning.
Field assignments are local and regional depending on technical capabilities and desire to travel. Overnight travel is estimated to be up to 100%.
Implementation of standards in compliance with USPS/WSP program requirements and seeks guidance and direction from Sr. construction managers in the planning, execution, and delivery of similar project requirements.
Possess knowledge of construction processes.
Demonstrate construction management skills in the management of integration/coordination of project elements, scope management, time management, cost management, quality assurance, managing changes in priorities and communication management in the generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of project information.
Ensure that projects are successfully completed on schedule, within the approved budget and in accordance with applicable quality standards and contract requirements.
Fully vetted in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (10-hour certification) for compliance with all USPS/WSP applicable Environmental, Health and Safety requirements in the performance of the projects.
Clear and precise record keeping meeting contract requirements and regulatory requirements.
Types of buildings worked with include, but are not limited to offices, light industrial facilities, maintenance facilities.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Experience working with outside 3rd party vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
Minimum of 7 years of experience and demonstrated success with construction management or related disciplines.
Ability to self-motivate with an entrepreneurial spirit. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, MS Project. Familiar with Blue-Beam, AutoCAD, and project management software such as Procore a plus, but not required (candidate must be willing to learn software as applicable).
Experience working with direct and indirect resources, minimum of 5+ years acting in a construction management capacity or supervisory role on light industrial or commercial projects.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of environmental, safety and health regulatory compliance. Negotiation and construction management experience/skills.
Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with technical disciplines.
Strong organizational skills.
Read, understand, and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, floor plans, shop drawings, specifications, and schedules as they relate to architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC equipment, & building structures
Physical Demands
Must have the ability to stoop, sit, stand, or be on their feet for extended periods of time and be able to handle standard field-testing equipment.
Must have the ability to work in varying environments (office, and field settings) and be willing to travel.
Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.
