WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Assistant Project Manager within the Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Specialty Service group for our Houston, TX office. Other locations considered: Arlington, VA -Columbia, MD.
Be involved in projects with our Fire and Life Safety Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
WSP works closely with architects, owners and engineers from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on user experience, operational efficiency, collaboration, and sustainability in the built environment. Our team works on high-quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle from creation of the opportunity, to assistance with capturing the work, to project performance through to completed construction.
Your Impact
Responsibilities include:
Project delivery:
Conduct project setup using internal systems. Tasks include converting project opportunities to billable jobs, communicating with internal teams to deliver project numbers, and processing approved add-service requests.
Manage engineering teams to complete multiple projects concurrently.
Support the development and maintenance of project workplans, including schedules, tracking tasks, and following up with stakeholders.
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project status and schedules, and proactively coordinate client actions and tasks.
Track financial performance metrics for projects, culminating in summary reports to enable forecasting and inform invoicing.
Coordinate the QA/QC process for project deliverables and final submissions to clients.
Create and manage project resource planning, ensuring alignment with project plans and staff utilization expectations.
Establish effective communication methods and regular intervals to update staff on project performance in a timely manner.
Assist with coordination of project correspondence, such as RFIs and submittal reviews, to ensure timely responses and proper filing of completed documents.
Project pursuits:
Assemble technical resource information, scope, and pricing to create responses for Requests for
Qualifications and Proposals.
Log and track the progress of project opportunities.
Create and maintain a proposal fee database to enable data-driven and historical fee input relevant to client and market trends for use in future proposals.
Coordinate project and pursuit process improvements across the practice.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, architecture, engineering, science, or a related major, or equivalent experience in a technical or consulting engineering firm.
Minimum of 3- 5 years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role within a relevant industry or previous experience within the architectural engineering industry in a similar role.
Experience in project planning, cost management, schedule management, and methods of analyzing and reporting project performance on financial and other relevant KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, PowerBI, Visio), Bluebeam, and Adobe software applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
Ability to learn and become proficient with internal project management platforms.

WSP is currently initiating a search for an On-call Senior ESIA/NEPA Professional-Environmental Planner for our Ballwin, MO office. The following locations are included but not limited to: Kansas City, MO; Topeka, KS; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Omaha, NE; Boston, MA; and New York, NY. The team will consider remote work for this role for candidates located in our Plains District (KS, MO, NE, IA, SD, ND, MN, OK, AR) or Northeast Region. We are seeking an Environmental & Social Impact Assessment Professional with a background in the energy/nuclear market. This professional will join our interdisciplinary team of professionals in our Northeast Region , focused on impact assessment for the social, natural, and physical environment to support a variety of clients and projects. This dynamic team works collaboratively within the region and with other planners, scientists, and engineers within WSP to successfully meet our clients' needs for environmental and social impact analysis and permitting with a wide range of clients in the energy industry.

We are currently looking for an experienced professional to lead ESIA projects in coordination with other planners, biologists, archeologists, scientists, and engineers. Leadership of such efforts will include client coordination and managing scope, schedule, and budget as well as technical aspects from project initiation to completion. This role will focus on project management and delivery, technical understanding of and experience with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licensing, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations and guidance, ESIA, interpersonal skills, and the ability to partner with clients, co-workers, and agency representatives. Potential projects include (but are not limited to) preparation of Environmental Reports (ER) in support of NRC licensing efforts, NEPA environmental assessments, environmental impact statements and related technical studies, and similar impact assessment documentation for a variety of clients. WSP is especially interested in candidates with a history in leading such efforts for the nuclear industry and other energy-focused projects. Experience with NRC license applications (ER) and NEPA compliance is highly preferred. This is a position which will appeal to individuals with experience in impact studies pursuant to NEPA, with a focus on larger environmental assessments and environmental impact statements, and interest in working with a professional team of environmental/ natural and cultural resources scientists and planners.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in directing the technical and administrative aspects of complex environmental studies for environmental impact assessment, and will be responsible for coordinating schedules, providing technical direction to project teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, implementing program policy and problem resolution to assure project completions on time and within budget. Flexibility and willingness to work as part of an interdisciplinary team is a must. Opportunities for growth include development of client relationships, marketing and business development, and leading a team of ESIA/NEPA practitioners. WSP invites qualified applicants with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in the field of environmental science, planning, engineering, or an equivalent discipline with at least 7 years direct work experience to apply for the position. Masters' degree is a plus.
Your Impact
This role will serve a critical function for the delivery of environmental documents. This position will support on-going environmental assessment projects with the following key responsibilities:
Planning and directing preparation of defensible ER and NEPA documents in the nuclear and energy industry, technical studies, and other similar reports/documents
Providing oversight to develop and review documents for submittal to regulatory agencies or clients with accountability for accuracy and completeness
Direct interaction with clients in process management and provide guidance and advice on complying with NEPA and related statutes and authorities (e.g., Section 106 of the Historic Preservation Act, Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, the Executive Order on Environmental Justice, etc.)
Lead/contribute to development of proposals, including scope of work/technical approach, budget, and schedule
Management of multi-disciplinary teams for impact assessment, including directing the work of others in completion of required studies, documents, and reports
Performing complex assignments, making independent decisions on problems and methods
Conducting independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of development of environmental impact assessment documents and supporting efforts
Manage and mentor technical teams to complete projects within budget and schedule expectations
Provide technical direction to project team members for environmental impact analyses and license/permitting documents
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree in in the field of environmental/biological science, planning, engineering, or an equivalent discipline
At least 10 years of experience that includes advanced professional experience in developing and writing defensible ESIA/NEPA documents for NRC and energy projects
Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with NRC regulations and guidelines such as NUREG 1748 and NEPA implementation procedures
Command of NEPA and its implementing regulations
Exceptional writing and oral communication skills, strategic thinking, and presentation skills
Experience analyzing written, edited, and organized material from diverse sources and then preparing clear, concise, understandable documents for public review
Experience leading professional NEPA project teams
Demonstrated experience in development of successful proposals

This Opportunity
Provides support to technical staff and project managers for due diligence, subsurface investigation, and remediation projects. Required Qualifications:

Your Impact
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow the established procedural framework for identifying, collecting, distributing, and filing the controlled documents for the Project. This involves maintaining document control procedures and participating in document control tools. Also includes internal and external project participants' distribution of correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Requests for Information, Meeting Minutes, contract plans and specifications, etc.
Support Document Control Manager in training. Ensure Project Team members to successfully use the Project document systems such as SharePoint and Procore.
Facilitate Project Team members to understand and enhance their compliance with Document Controls procedures.

Knowledge of document management process, procedures, and systems.
Provide quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) audits of the Document Control files. Check documents for accuracy of metadata information prior to submitting them in the Project's electronic document filing system(s).
Provide Document Management support to project team:
Review project submittals/transmittals for correctness, Manage Document Naming Convention, numbering, and distribution.
Process Outgoing documentation and Incoming responses according to established workflows.
Initiate and track document comment responses or incomplete RFI questions.
Ensure that electronic record files as required are maintained in good order to comply with QA and contractual requirements.
Familiar with the Submittal and RFI Packages Procedure and Processes
Perform reoccurring training on Document Management Requirements and Procore use.
Optimize Document Control productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
Work with project leads to ensure timely processing of documentation.
Manage the handling, storage, and distribution of Protected Information.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years of document management experience with major Capital Improvement Programs or Large construction Projects
Experience working on Design, Pre-Construction, Construction and Closeout or similar projects in a document control role.
Working knowledge of electronic document management system such as Procore and SharePoint.
Working knowledge of Bluebeam.
Advanced computer and word processing skills using MS Office applications.

The Senior Graphic Designer will lead overall graphic design and production layout for a variety of short and long format documents such as proposals, presentations and other marketing and communications collateral. In collaboration with proposal and technical staff, the candidate will create overall visual concepts for marketing and technical deliverables to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate our clients. This role is an integral member of our marketing team and will be heavily involved in proposal layout and overall document management.

Minimum Qualifications (a.k.a. what you need from day one):

Preferred Qualifications
Bureau of Land Management and/or US Forest Service project experience.
Experience with state and local agencies involved with permitting of mines
NEPA knowledge and experience.

WSP USA Inc. has a unique opportunity for a Senior Graphic Designer to be part of our Northern California Strategic Growth Team. The position will ideally be located in any of our West Region primary offices including: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. Other locations within the United States may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The Senior Graphic Designer will lead overall graphic design and production layout for a variety of short and long format documents such as proposals, presentations and other marketing and communications collateral. In collaboration with proposal and technical staff, the candidate will create overall visual concepts for marketing and technical deliverables to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate our clients. This role is an integral member of our marketing team and will be heavily involved in proposal layout and overall document management.
The position will integrate with a high-performing, supportive team of graphic design peers, marketing managers and coordinators, as well as strategy development staff responsible for securing some of the largest infrastructure projects in the Western U.S. The candidate will be responsible for consultation, art direction and production, as well as proposal support with strong attention to detail, a focus on efficiency and quality, and high level of collaboration in a fast-paced team environment.
Typical responsibilities include:
Work independently and with proposal and presentation teams on storyboarding and graphics development, translating complex business information and reports into charts and graphics in a compelling and easy to understand manner
Contribute to implementing workflow enhancements for the graphic design team
Accountable and responsible for meeting deadlines and following through on commitments with attention to detail
Use graphic design principals such as color, form, and balance to create original design concepts that inform and engage technical and non-technical audiences across a variety of digital and print platforms; design interactive experiences across multiple digital platforms.
QA/QC and design review of junior designer and peer-created work; creating punchlists of needed revisions and confirming completion.
Maintain knowledge of and proficiency with the latest technologies and trends in the graphic design environment. May require researching and employing new software technology and design/development techniques.

Minimum Qualifications (a.k.a. what you need from day one):
5+ years of experience in graphic design for long-form documents (preferably proposals in the AEC industry).
Bachelor's Degree in Art, Design, Graphic Design, or related field
Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign (as well as Illustrator and Photoshop) and demonstrated experience working with proposal layout.
Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
Strong design sense and creativity with integration of color, typography, photography and illustrative graphic elements
