WSP is currently initiating a search for a UAS Project Coordinator for our Raleigh, NC office to support our Southeast Region Geospatial & Surveying group. The successful candidate will be part of a team conducting UAS data acquisition, registration, and extraction using RiProcess, Pix4D, Leica Cyclone, Microstation, TopoDOT, Terrasolid, WingtraHub, and other softwares. Your Impact
Demonstrates team work and maintains open communication between the field, office, and client.
Function as team lead for WSP project managers and other laser scan team members in LiDAR registration and extraction.
Develop and maintain aerial LiDAR & Orthophotography processing workflows.
Assist in UAS collection efforts.
Training technicians in data collection and processing best practices.
Create and review digital models and mapping of LIDAR and other types of traditional survey projects.
Processing survey data.
Assist with client interactions and help meet all scope of work requirements.
Follow state specific standards of practice to provide professional survey assistance that accounts for accurate survey data, and determines conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, boundaries, and construction specifications.
Assist with writing surveying reports summarizing site inspection and survey findings and conclusions; generating complete, accurate, and concise documentation using photographs, sketches, calculations, software, spreadsheets, technical drawings, 2D/3D illustrations, and reports.
Work collaboratively with other professionals, engineers, scientists, project control, and technicians on assigned survey tasks.
Perform LiDAR & Camera related instruments calibrations in order to maintain their accuracy.
Remain current in latest LiDAR knowledge, techniques, and practices.
Observe and comply with all company related safety rules.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED will be required.
Valid State Driver's License.
Ability to work independently, and as part of a diverse team.
5+ Years of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Experience.
A working Knowledge of surveying mathematics, land surveying practices, and procedures.
Excellent communication skills.
Understanding of office operations.
Experience with RiProcess and RiAcquire required.
Experience with Pix4D and/or other structure from motion (SfM) software.
Knowledge of Bently Software products, MicroStation, CADD, and ArcGIS.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
