This Opportunity
Experienced project accountant professional providing accounting and financial specialist support to one or more Project Managers and/or project team(s). Tasks include reviewing and evaluating project charges for accuracy, completing cost transfers, establishing and updating funding as needed, instituting and maintaining project budgets, and ensuring that all project data is current for medium-sized and/or moderate-level complexity projects. Generates accurate and thorough financial documentation and reporting regarding infrastructure/transportation/professional services projects, working in tandem with project managers on pre-billing information review, cost estimates, and invoicing. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards, supporting the delivery of future-ready solutions to clients.
Your Impact
For assigned project(s), manage and analyze the collection, recording, and allocating of project costs and revenue, ensuring accurate project profit and loss calculations, and communicating project financial performance and profitability to project/program management.
Responsible for lifecycle project accounting from creating project accounts in Oracle, to tracking projects and project budget, validating invoicing, project close-out, and reconciling overall project payables and receivables to project budgets.
Perform detailed and involved accounting tasks related to managing project contract, billing events and billing transaction exceptions revenue for medium-sized and/or moderate-level complex projects.
Partner with the Project Manager and project team to establish the project budget, updating budgets, and making project accounting recommendations as needed when contract modifications or budget changes arise.
Generate project financial reports, evaluating the reports for any items, including labor breakage, that need to be escalated for review by the Project Manager as necessary.
Authorize access to project accounts, and the transfer of expenses into and out of project-related accounts in compliance with established accounting practices and guidelines.
Maintain quality control standards and procedures for generating accurate and precise project-related financial records using Oracle, spreadsheets, and software.
For assigned projects, apply learned accounting expertise relating to project resources, labor and expenses, investigating project variances and submitting variance reports to management.
Verify contract and change order characteristics for projects that are medium-sized and/or of a moderate-level of complexity, including reading and interpreting contract language, method of compensation, modifications, purchase orders, and subcontract/consultant terms.
Monitor key indicators for managing and analyzing problem projects, keeping project managers and/or project accounting manager informed on any noted concerns.
Responsible for ensuring draft invoices from billing are accurate based on the contract requirements agreed upon with the client; identifying any needed corrections, obtains Project Manager documentation and signature. Finalizes the invoice approval with the Project Manager/billing team and submits the invoice to the client.
Subcontract management and coordination with Contract Administrators. This includes evaluating subconsultant invoice submittals for accuracy, establish and maintain purchase orders for subconsultants, and requests and follows up on subcontractor payment requests with Accounts Payable.
Identify and record unpaid contract billings, following up on any delinquent accounts receivable and/or unbilled costs.
Respond to requests for more detail from clients, investigate all project expenses not billed to clients, and review and approve all project-related billings to clients.
Attend project-related meetings to inform the team regarding the current status of project financials, articulating problem projects and following up on any identified actions as discussed.
Create and submit government reports related to projects.
Compile information for review by a more Senior Consultant prior to submitting for internal and external auditors as required.
Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner.
Remain current in latest project accounting principles and subject matter.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or closely-related discipline (or demonstrated proven equivalent experience).
3 to 5 years of relevant post education experience in accounting, project contracts and change management documents.
Working knowledge of project accounting principles, practices, and methods and their application to project work-related issues.
Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound independent judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions with financial implications to the company.
Ability to initiate and coordinate efforts with various stakeholders around contract and project requirements.
Effective/Strong Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an accounting and non-accounting audience.
Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies.
Proficiency with technical writing, office automation and accounting software, technology, math principles, spreadsheets, MS Excel, pivot tables, formulas, data format/sort/filter, VLOOKUP, predictive models, and tools.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply learned subject matter and technical knowledge to reach conclusions from data collation, documentation, statistical analysis, and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution.
Awareness of and adherence to WSP USA's Project Delivery Handbook.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
This is a professional role and as such work deadlines and work hours may extend beyond a typical workday.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

From this location, our team of geo-professionals provides services to clients in the oil & gas, transportation, mining, and other industrial sectors. This entry-level position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced team that provides solutions on geological, civil, geotechnical engineering projects. The work entails a variety of office-related and outdoor -hands-on- activities, with a need to carefully follow instructions, document activities, solve problems, and provide proactive communication.
We are seeking a geotechnical engineer with interest in geohazard identification, geotechnical investigation, and geotechnical design. The selected candidate must be comfortable with the use of technology in the practice of engineering and geology while working in the field with project teams to support geologic and geotechnical investigations. This position will include opportunities for working on a variety of projects such as linear alignments for pipelines, transportation corridors, and infrastructure siting. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated education, knowledge, or field experience in geohazards and geology of the Appalachian Basin. As part of a global company, the selected candidate may have the opportunity to work on field assignments beyond the Appalachian Basin.
Your Impact
Work with project teams on geotechnical and geological engineering projects that involve, field observations, data evaluation, and office work
Conduct field assignments, such as site mapping, drilling supervision, borehole logging, test pit logging, site reconnaissance, and construction quality assurance (CQA) monitoring
Perform engineering analyses, designs, and recommendations
Contribute to geotechnical data and recommendation reports, with senior technical advice and review. This includes compiling and assisting with evaluation of field investigation data; performing calculations; modeling and tabulating the results; preparing geologic and geotechnical borehole logs, subsurface cross-sections, and groundwater interpretations; and writing reports, permit documents, and cost estimates.
Prepare construction documents including engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures which include but are not limited to, location data, statistical documentation, engineering studies and surveys, and construction. Safely perform work in the office and field; fieldwork may occur out-of-town in all seasonal weather conditions, using equipment (with an ability to lift and move approximately 50 pounds without assistance) and operating vehicles on behalf of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage Consultant project design team to complete an inclusive community involvement process and engineering contract documents.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets per the direction of CDOT management.
- Ensure compliance with the program, including but not limited to the Streetscapes Guidelines, Streetscape Project Checklist, ADA Standards, Street & Site Plan Design Standards, AASHTO, MUTCD, the Public Way Construction Regulations, IDOT BDE and IDOT BLRS.
- Oversee project-related processes, including preparing and administering presentations for a wide variety of audiences, including internal stakeholders, partner agencies, and the community at large.

We are seeking a Technical Director - Mineral Process Engineering to join our Lakewood, CO office. In this role you will be responsible for developing a process team and providing subject matter expertise on mineral processing operations. The Technical Director is a hard-working, creative thinker with a passion for the hands-on approach. The candidate will lead technical teams in the successful development and implementation of various mineral processing systems. Responsibilities include client interface, project design, technology implementation, system planning and optimization, training, permitting, technical and project reporting, and mentoring and coaching more junior engineers. An important goal for this position is to develop and grow a mineral processing team in the US in collaboration with our existing Canadian team.

The Technical Director is able to lead technical teams remotely, perform field reporting and operational planning, and implement technical project elements. This position will manage junior engineers and technicians on project teams and assist discipline supervisors in building an efficient work force. Technical responsibilities may include site selection, process flow and design, equipment selection and installation, water treatment, tailings management and optimization of processing systems.

Your Impact
The Technical Director will spend most of their time providing senior technical support and oversight on project assignments to ensure that projects are completed correctly, within budget and on time. Standard project assignments include conducting complex engineering, scientific assessment and analysis, and/or managing tasks or projects. The candidate is expected to prepare technical proposals and reports, in whole or in part, depending on the size and complexity of the document, and/or to manage the preparation of the proposals and reports associated with the projects they manage. Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Architecture or related degree.
15+ years of successful experience proposing on, negotiating fee proposals, and delivering Architectural & Engineering (AE) planning, design, and AE construction-phase oversight services on projects under U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) IDIQ contracts (more favorable if such experience is for NAVFAC IDIQs).
5+ years' experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural teams.
Professional registration US licensed Architect or Engineer.
Ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret level Security Clearance.
Strong knowledge and overall understanding of Navy clients; US contracting industry; knowledge of Federal budgeting, industry business drivers and motivators.
Experience leading strategy and marketing for Federal acquisitions; demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams and a variety of stakeholders, and in developing and executing strategies to deliver business results,

The position will be tied to our El Paso, Texas office but we will consider staff living in the Texas Panhandle, Permian Basin area or other locations in West Texas. The ideal candidate will have 5 years proven experience in performing troubleshooting, repair and upgrades of existing remediation systems as well as experience with groundwater monitoring and soil sampling programs.
WSP has multiple on-going projects requiring technician support across a large geographic footprint in West Texas and parts of New Mexico, including Las Cruces, Roswell, Clovis and Carlsbad area. Provides technical assistance and guidance for multi-site/phase due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, design, development, and construction of utility, industrial, and commercial scale projects in the public and private sector. Routinely assist with the research, design, concept development, and construction of transmission and distribution substations, power distribution, power regulation, renewable energy, as well as protection and control systems in a wide variety of contexts (utilities, transportation, building, and Federal, State, and local government projects). Substantiates reports and documentation regarding material, installations, component, and construction specifications. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
YOUR IMPACT
Provide high, medium, and low voltage electrical engineering and design expertise on energy and power related projects spanning across multiple sectors including renewables (solar + battery, wind), electrification, hydropower, microgrids, power generation, heavy industrial, and transmission & distribution including substations and transmission lines.
Determine well-defined methods for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data relating to substation components, equipment specifications for procurement package development and pricing, IFR/IRC detailed design and review processes, and IEEE/NESC Standards/NERC regulations for design work.
Review and advice on third-party design documents, procurement lists, and project plans.
Perform professional and more complex electrical engineering work relating to the design of single line, three line, wiring diagrams, general arrangement, substation layout and bus arrangement, grounding grid design and lightning protection in conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.
Incorporate future-ready techniques, concept development, operating strategies, and various design requirements with equipment sizing and cabling, AC/DC panel design, and conduit and trenching design strategies that account for the safety and functionality of end-users, systems, and infrastructure.
Support senior engineers with research and recommendations of components identified in design requirements, as well as field equipment applications and operations.
Verify the characteristics of a site, providing technical input and guidance on various engineering, design, testing maintenance modifications, and construction procedures and issues.
Develop electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, grounding touch and step potentials, short circuit study, protective device coordination, one-line diagram development, protective relaying, and substation switchyard layouts.
Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates; preparing construction safety and phasing plans, and updating electrical infrastructure layout plans that require coordination with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
Work as an individual or as part of a cross-functional team of engineers, planners, scientific, and construction professionals to execute project work on multiple concurrent projects, assist with laying out installations, calculating costs and quantities of material/equipment/labor, and ensuring project work conforms with specifications, permit applications, compliance documentation, and regulatory and technical analysis memos.
Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, accurate reports, sketches, calculations, and illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of data, findings, or analyses.
Maintain a high level of quality and responsiveness to client requirements in alignment with Pickett's standards.
Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.
Prepare technical reports and presentations that explain research, findings, and recommendations to improve, prevent, control, restore, or address design and/or construction issues or opportunities.
Assist in the analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of data obtained during field investigations, offering input with developing action plans for moderate- to high-level risk mitigation activities.
Prepare and implement site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
Comply with regulatory requirements pertaining to the data integrity, documentation, procedures, training, monitoring systems, and record compliance and retention.
Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner.
Remain current in latest electrical engineering techniques and practices.
Work collaboratively with other engineers and planners on projects with infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

WHO YOU ARE
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
3+ years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for large capital projects.
Engineer in Training Certification or Licensed Professional Engineer.
Experience working with Operations and project controls for purposes of reporting and proposal development.
Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including active involvement in a variety of rehabilitation and new design projects.
Working knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
Ability to make technical computations and calculations involving the application of electrical engineering principles, understanding plans and specifications, and making factual comparisons to the appropriate regulations.
Project management experience with small to mid-level projects including tracking hours and expenses for project work.
Ability to plan and conduct inspections and investigations on various aspects of the construction and design of facilities or structures, applying applicable regulations and policies.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
Highly capable self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership to junior team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC.
Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, discipline-specific design software (i.e., CADD, Aspen, CAPE, ETAP), AutoCADD electrical, technology, math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools.
Developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution.
Ability to assertively direct others in the field such as subcontractors and others to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently.
