DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide exceptional customer service through greeting and directing all customers upon entry of the landfill.
Ensure the proper paperwork is completed for each truck, and truck information is correct.
Collect truck paperwork, weights, and load information, and record into database.
Verify incoming loads are safe and do not contain unacceptable material.
Occasionally answers the phone.
Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Provide general upkeep of the scale house.
Perform a variety of duties not necessarily provided in this job description but may include general maintenance and upkeep of the Facility, when needed.
Work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and communication.
Typical workday is a 10-hour day, from 6:45 to 4:45, Monday through Friday. Saturday work is also required from April thru mid-December.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Excellent customer service skills - past customer service a PLUS.
Proficiency in Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
A general, working knowledge of computers.
Data entry experience. (Preferred, but not required. We will train)
A track record of reliability and punctuality.
A high degree of attention to detail.
JOB PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of computer.
Be able to lift 50 pounds.
Be able to traverse uneven ground and walk upstairs.
Must be Bilingual.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
-Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services. Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
-Utilize vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
-Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
-Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. -Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
-Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
-Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- SWING SHIFT - shift would start in the afternoon.
-Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.
- Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions..
-The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-Valid drivers license.
-Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
-2 years of experience preferred.
-Ability to provide some or most of your own personal tools.

Job Duties:
- Fosters collaboration between and among personnel.
- Trains and assists mechanics on methods for diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment.

Skills Required:
- Must have ability to plan, budget, schedule, and supervise multiple projects from concept to completion.
- Must have excellent working knowledge of DOT compliance requirements.
- Must have ability to motivate staff to meet corp., region, division, and district objectives.
- Must have excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills and ability to achieve cost effective solutions.
Experience Required:
- 3+ years maintenance experience in truck, light or heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Waste industry experience desired.
- Ability to train and motivate staff a must.
- Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Trade or Technical School Certificate preferred. High School or Equivalent required.
- Holds or ability to certify for CDL within 90 days of start date.
- Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
-Work environment is an office setting. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lighted. Our Customer Service Reps have their own workstation or cubicle space and are equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer.
-CSR call areas can be noisy and work may be repetitious and stressful, with little time in between calls, while still providing excellent service. Some calls are evaluated to ensure high standards.
-Also, long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen are common.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-2 years of Phone Customer Service experience preferred .

Waste Connections is looking for a high energy Scale Attendant to join our GROWING team in Malvern, Iowa.
PAY: $16 - $18/hour
In this position, you will be weighing trucks in and out of the facility and interacting with the public. You must have excellent customer service, good computer skills, and cash handling experience. You will also be completing administrative tasks to help the landfill run smoothly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
-Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station.
-Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.
-Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures. -Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material. -Answers phone in a professional and enthusiastic fashion.
-Performs full clerical and general office duties.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
-Assisting with office duties, filing and paperwork as needed.
-Ensuring that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
-Providing general upkeep of the Scale House.
-Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Good computer skills.
-Ability to multi-task.
-Prior cash handling experience required.
-Reliability and punctuality is a must.

WASTE CONNECTIONS OF MISSOURI - TIMBER RIDGE HAULING IS HIRING!

We are looking for a safety conscience CDL Diver to join the team at our Hauling location in Richwoods, MO.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience preferred , but not required.
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with an occasional Saturday as needed, 45-50 hour work week.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.
The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Class B CDL License.
Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred.
Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
