We are looking for a high energy PM Tech - 2nd Shift to join the team at our Knox Hauling Location in Knoxville, TN . Previous waste experience would be a huge plus!

2ND SHIFT Hours are 1pm to 12:00AM Monday through Friday with every other Saturdays from 9:30am to 4:00PM.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services.

• Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.

• Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.

• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

• Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed. 45 hours a week average.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS:

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

• Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually, well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

• Performing monthly financial close functions through preparation of financial statements for each designated operating location.

• Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts.

• Monthly narrative analysis of significant financial variances to budget and forecast.

• Rate analysis and review.

• Effective ongoing communication of financial related information to business counterparts

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for an experienced Scale House Attendant to join the team at our location in Sun Country Materials Landfill, FL.

Previous waste experience would be a huge plus !

Monday-Friday starting at 7:00am typically working 10-11 hour days. This position includes weekend work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the C&D Facility.

• Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.

• Calculate payments for customers.

• Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

• Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

  IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS :

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.

• Must have flexible availability to include weekends.

Job Description

Waste Connections is looking for a safety-conscious Spotter (General Labor) to join our Transfer Station team in Miami, FL! This is a full-time, long-term position with a reputable company. The spotter's main priority is to give clear verbal and non-verbal directions to truck drivers entering the Transfer station. This is to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow. You will also assist in the scale house twenty percent of the time.

Pays $17-$18/hr. Working 45-50hrs a week! Opportunities to move up as well! Responsibilities Include:

• Spotting Trucks

• Cleaning Equipment

• Picking up litter

• General site cleanup

• Driving employees to their work stations

• Performing other assigned duties at the landfill

  Requirements:

• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.

• The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8 hr. shift.

• Experience operating equipment is a plus

• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift

• Mechanical ability a plus.

Job duties:

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with general clerical work, data entry and parts inventory.

• Answer vendor phone calls and assist with ordering as needed.

• Actively work with vendors, mechanics and management as needed.

• Perform work daily on specialized maintenance software, including the initial setup of the software.

• Complete special projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, and all other duties as assigned.

• Reviews the mechanic's daily work orders for service's performed and parts that were used

• Inventory purchasing, tracking and distribution

• Maintain parts room in accordance with Company policy

• Some heavy lifting over 50 lbs may be required

• All repair order data entry into company maintenance tracking program

  Requirements include :

• Excellent organization and communication skills

• Must be detailed oriented with a high degree of accuracy

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing workload

• Automotive/Heavy Duty parts experience a plus

• Basic office clerical experience including Microsoft Word and Excel

• Inventory management preferred

• Parts or supply purchasing preferred

• Valid Driver's license and be able to drive a company truck to pick up parts
