Waste Connections of Tennessee has an immediate position available for a F-Stamp Driver at our site in Knoxville, TN.
Once you have mastered these responsibilities, there would be opportunities for growth such as moving up into a route driver position once obtaining a CDL!
Responsibilities include:
Drive a box truck on specified routes to pick up and deliver recycle and garbage containers to new and existing customers.
Assemble and repair plastic containers.
Ability to effectively communicate and understand needed repairs and/or tasks.
Ideal candidate will possess:
Clean driving record.
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Valid Driver's License required with F endorsement.

Typical job duties include (but are not limited to):

Directing the truck driver when backing

Clean the packer blade and truck body

This is a very physical job working outside in all weather conditions.
Monday-Friday day shift with occasional Saturdays.

We are looking for a safety minded Heavy Equipment Operator to join the team at our Wasco County Landfill location in The Dalles, OR. Landfill Compactor or Bulldozer experience would be a huge plus!

What we do: We provide trash and disposal services to the local community. You, a vital piece of the team, would be responsible for safely operating a CDL Route Driver delivering dumpster containers to customers, while providing the best service in the industry. This includes duties such:
Safely driving a CDL Truck into a variety of environments (Residential, Construction, Commercial, etc.).
Determine the best, convenient drop off location for dumpster, to avoid property damage.
Cautiously operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load Dumpster on/off truck.
Secure the Dumpster Load, cover appropriately and account for weight shift before departing
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
Interact courteously with your customers
Other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
What we work with: Trash is heavy! Sometimes we have machines aid our efforts. Other times we do not. And this is a service provided year round - Rain, snow or shine. Hot or cold. Be prepared to work in all environments, around heavy diesel equipment. Not to mention dirty ones. Plan for the following labor:
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work with consistent walking; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 75 pounds. Exiting/exiting high set truck. Walking. Moderate noise level.
Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.
Exposure to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.

American Disposal Services is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join the team at our hauling location in Manassas, VA .
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) fields calls from Customers and works to resolve problems they raise concerning service or billing. A successful CSR must understand the American Disposal business, so they can resolve various types of customer issues. Customer Service Representatives must show empathy or sensitivity to the customer regarding the issue at hand. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. $20/hour starting pay.

Job Duties:
Works in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes.
Effectively communicates issues, needs and opportunities with customer service employees and other managers & solicits sale of new or additional services.
Interviews customers and records interview information into computer.
Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service.
Fills out contract forms, determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records, and issues discontinuance orders.
Take payments, bank deposits, key word orders, keys production paperwork and general office duties
Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
Demonstrates the knowledge and effective use of software applications. These systems should include as a minimum, MS Word and Excel.
Delivers services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill. Interacts with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements, resolve problems or complaints, and seeks cost-effective, safe environmentally sound solutions to service issues.
Requirements:
2 years of Customer Service experience in a high call volume atmosphere.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and E-Mail, proficient in 10 key, keyboarding and typing skills a must.
Excellent verbal communications skills.

This person will be driving a company vehicle to medical facilities, picking up medical waste, bringing it back to our facility, documenting and disposing the waste. This position does require heavy lifting.
The schedule is Monday-Friday 6:30am to 2:30pm, a 40 hour work week. The pay will start around $20/hour.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to safely operate a company truck on specified routes to collect waste.
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
