Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections Company is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team in Anchorage, Alaska!
This is NOT your typical accounting job! We want Controllers to help the sites they support make informed business decisions & drive results, not sit in an office and report past results!
Alaska Waste Controllers are based out of the Division office in Anchorage, but will support sites throughout Alaska. Some overnight travel will be required for site visits, up to a week per month. Alaska Waste has sites in Anchorage, Wasilla, Seward, Kenai, Homer, Dutch Harbor, Kodiak, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, Fairbanks, Healy, & Nome.
Alaska has a unique and complex regulatory environment for solid waste collection. The garbage industry is much more complex and dynamic than it seems from the outside.
