We are looking for a safety conscience truck Driver to join our team at Groot Industries in Round Lake Park, IL.
Previous waste experience is a huge plus!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Courteous interaction with our customers and the ability to provide excellent customer service at all times
A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with an occasional Saturday as needed, 50-55 hour work week.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.
The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement as a minimum.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
Minimum 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work environment is an office setting. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lighted. Our Customer Service Reps normally have their own workstation or cubicle space and are equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer.
CSR call areas can be noisy and work may be repetitious and stressful, with little time in between calls, while still providing excellent service. Some calls are evaluated to ensure high standards.
Also, long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen are common.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2 years of Customer Service experience.

Alaska Waste Controllers are based out of the Division office in Anchorage, but will support sites throughout Alaska. Some overnight travel will be required for site visits, up to a week per month. Responsibilities:
Performing monthly financial close functions through preparation of financial statements for each designated operating location.
Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts.
Monthly narrative analysis of significant financial variances to budget and forecast.
Monthly completion of a three-month financial forecast.
Rate analysis and review.
Effective ongoing communication of financial related information to business counterparts
Managing flow of accounting data to/from remote facilities.
Assisting with quarterly Sarbanes Oxley compliance and review
Planning and participating in the annual financial budget process
Providing training to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance, accounting procedures and financial statement review.
Special projects as assigned.
Ideal Candidates will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA license or MBA preferred, but not required.
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems.

In this position you will be operating a rear-load garbage truck on a specified route.
This is a very physical job working outside in all weather conditions.
Monday-Friday day shift with occasional Saturdays.

LeMay Pierce County, a Waste Connections company, is looking for an Accounting Clerk in our Frederickson, WA location. This position is somewhat of a hybrid role and we would like someone that is flexible and capable of doing many things.
Schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday 8AM - 5PM. Pay range is $23.00 - $23.50/hr.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with payroll will be a priority (laws and administration / processing)
Dealing with contract management
Working with billing department
Manage various projects for the district which involve analysis and data collection
General office administrative duties
Demonstrate effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment is an office setting. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lighted. Our office normally have their own workstation or cubicle space and are equipped with everything needed to do the job properly.
Some days this job may require external visits to other facilities and/or customer locations.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English is a must.
Payroll experience (laws and administration / processing) is a must.
Prior billing experience is a must
Experience with general office administrative duties.
MUST have excellent interpersonal skills due to this being a very dynamic TEAM orientated environment.
College degree preferred but may consider without degree depending on experience.
Experience in a regulated utility is preferred.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email is a must.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

The Position:
American Disposal is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor for our recycling center located in Manassas, VA.
In this position you will be responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and ensuring the safety of our employees. You will also be trained and mentored in the waste business to prepare you for future management opportunities in our growing company.
Schedule is 5PM -- 3AM Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
Monitors progress of daily operations, reassigns employees, and makes staffing changes as necessary.
Helps develop and execute safety goals.
Conducts site inspections and audits of all site personnel to ensure proper work procedures.
Receives and reviews customer complaints regarding collection programs.
Formulates both short-term and long-term goals and action plans for the recycling center.
Oversees a variety of complex compliance programs, including environmental, OSHA, and local permitting.
Requirements :
Qualified applicants will meet the following minimum requirements:
Ability to relocate for promotional opportunities based on performance
Bilingual preferred
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
3+ years of managing in a dynamic, people driven environment
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities

Description -
We are looking for a safety conscious Driver Helper to join the team at our location in Manassas, VA.
The Helper position is responsible for helping the driver of a garbage truck on specified routes to manually collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites.
Typical job duties include (but are not limited to):
Ride on garbage truck to assist the Driver service customers - will load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for proper disposal.
Directing the truck driver when backing
Assisting with vehicle maintenance
Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm
Clean the packer blade and truck body
Deliver positive customer service interactions
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
This is a very physical job working outside in all weather conditions.
Monday-Friday day shift with occasional Saturdays.

5:00 am start time working a 45-55 hour work week, 10-12 hour days. A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Saturday, with a 5 day work week.

Requirements:
Class A or B Commercial Drivers License.
1-2 years of CDL driving experience.
