Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience CDL Route Driver to join our GROWING team in Henderson, Colorado.
PAY:
- $24-$30 per hour working 50-55 hours a week. Every hour after 40 is paid overtime.

-Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
-Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
-Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
-Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
-Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
-Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.
-The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement as a minimum.
-Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
-Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
-Ability to work Monday - Friday with some Saturdays. Approximately 50-55 hours a week with paid overtime.
-Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a commercial vehicle.

Position
The Dispatcher is an IN-PERSON position, not remote or hybrid. You will be responsible for communicating with and assisting drivers to ensure customers are provided exceptional service in a safe and efficient manner. This position receives and responds to customer calls regarding service requests and/or issues. The Dispatcher ensures routes are properly sent to drivers and completed timely. The Dispatcher assists in the maintenance of customer data.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes & demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.
Analyzing and resolving customer inquiries for missed pick-ups, misplaced containers and property damage.
Assisting driver(s) when a pick up or delivery is in question before servicing.
Scheduling and dispatching work to various employees and departments throughout the day.
Demonstrate effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient.
Delivers services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill. Interacts with customers daily.
Work in a fast paced, cooperative, high call volume environment.
Multitasking large amounts of data entry, while maintaining high volume radio traffic and internal employee interaction.
Quickly and confidentially make decisions, often without managerial approval.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
2 years of Dispatcher experience in a transportation or logistics atmosphere preferred .
Strong typing skills.
Must have strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
Excellent organization and communication skills, both orally and written.

What we do: We provide trash and disposal services to the local community. You, a vital piece of the team, would be responsible for safely operating a Commercial CDL Truck delivering dumpster containers to customers, while providing the best service in the industry. This includes duties such:
Safely driving a Commercial CDL Truck into a variety of environments (Residential, Construction, Commercial, etc.).
Determine the best, convenient drop off location for dumpster, to avoid property damage.
Cautiously operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load Dumpster on/off truck.
Secure the Dumpster Load, cover appropriately and account for weight shift before departing
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
Interact courteously with your customers
Other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
What we work with: Trash is heavy! Sometimes we have machines aid our efforts. Other times we do not. And this is a service provided year round - Rain, snow or shine. Hot or cold. Be prepared to work in all environments, around heavy diesel equipment. Not to mention dirty ones. Plan for the following labor:
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work with consistent walking; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 75 pounds. Exiting/exiting high set truck. Walking. Moderate noise level.

Ability to efficiently operate bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor grader, scraper. Compactor experience preferred , but not required.

We are looking for a safety conscious Truck Washer to join the team at Penn Waste in Manchester, PA.
Schedule:
Job Type: Full-time
Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift, 2:00pm-10:30pm/Overtime, with occasional Saturdays.
Performs cleaning and maintenance tasks for trucks, containers and equipment as directed by Supervisor.
Performs facility maintenance tasks as directed by Supervisor.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Garbage is very stable, and we work year-round.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience preferred , but not required.
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7a-5p
Occasional Saturday 7a-12p
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the landfill/scale house.
Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.
Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.
Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
Answers phone in a professional and enthusiastic fashion.
Performs full clerical and general office duties.
Ensuring that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Providing general upkeep of the Scale House.
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy.
REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent customer service skills. Good computer skills.
Ability to multi-task. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Reliability and punctuality is a must
