This is a Tampa, FL based position under the direction of Install Team Leader and Service Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with equipment installations and maintenance as required. The candidate will assist with the assembly of equipment and inspect for proper operation, uncrating and moving of equipment into position. The individual will be responsible for driving service and delivery truck to the intended destination to deliver or pick up equipment with the use of a lift-gate. Must also assist other Branch employees and Service Technicians as required. Must be willing to work hours as needed.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • High School diploma/GED or related experience

  • 1-2 year minimum experience in related field.

  • Be able to work with mechanical/electrical equipment safely

  • Basic Knowledge of Welding, Hydraulics and/or Electrical Skills

  • Understand How to Troubleshoot Mechanical Problems

  • Basic plumbing and soldering knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of CO2 and Freon

  • Basic knowledge of moving tools and equipment

  • Customer Service skills- resolving customer issues. ensuring appropriate communication with customers and following up on customer requests

  • Required to manage expense reports and travel budgets.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting 50-75 lbs with or without assistance

  • Climbing up to 8 ft with ladder. Working on roofs of building will be required

  • Extensive driving 5-6 hours/day

  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling

  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditions

  • Will need to be able to travel for overnight and multiple day job assignments.

Under close direction of a District Manager you have the opportunity to allocate and distribute parts and materials for service repairs and customer orders, handle parts orders, perform other assigned Parts Department functions, including inventory control of parts and materials in stock and on order. General Duties:

  • Maintain inventory control system, including updating computer and assist with audits conducted by Company auditors.

  • Requisition parts from Troy, OH, including following up on purchase orders and correspondence involving back orders. Regularly update files.

  • May be requested to assist in the training or cross train other individuals in the office.

  • Receive parts from warehouse, including verifying with packing slips, matching parts invoices with purchase orders and packing slips.

  • Process Return Apparatus Tags (RAT) involving warranty claims and verify Warranty and Maintenance automatic scale/wrapper credits.

  • Assist with replenishment of truck inventories and handle parts transfers to other Hobart Branches.

  • Handle over-the-counter parts sales to walk-in customers and stocking and pulling parts and assist with various job functions involved in tracking consignment.

  • Assist in preparing reports on order status, parts & material shortages.

  • Keep abreast of new products and related parts required for various modifications and keep bulletins updated.

  • Process parts mail orders from customers. Handle telephone orders from customers for parts, including writing up orders and quoting prices,

  • Follow up with customers and service personnel for availability of parts, upon request.

  • Write up credits for returned merchandise and handle telephone requests from technicians for parts.

  • Follow up on all pending credits, Cycle counts/inventories

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

About the opportunity:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion a strategic sourcing process that will substantially reduce total procurement costs while achieving service parts quality, performance, and delivery expectations for internal and external customers (25% of time spend performing this duty)

  • Utilize a -Supplier Scorecard- to manage key suppliers ensuring they meet quality and service requirements while maintaining competitive prices. Evaluate and lead commodity to enhance supplier performance, monitor supplier activity relative to pricing, contractual obligation, delivery, scheduling, and productivity. Reporting to the Channel Business Development Manager - Parts, the Distribution Business Development Manager builds, maintains, and expands relationships with distribution partners to support growth in the aftermarket parts sales business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The FEG Parts business is positioned for strong market growth. The Distribution Business Development Manager will be responsible for supporting and executing revenue growth plans to significantly increase the ITW/FEG parts market penetration. This leader is responsible for profitable revenue growth through existing and new distribution channels utilizing the ITW 80/20 and Front-To-Back (FTB) methodologies. This is a critical role for the parts business, and is responsible to provide business results to achieve annual revenue growth. Key deliverables for the Distribution Business Development Manager are:

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Responsible for creation and implementation of business development objectives and strategies. Support the development and track performance metrics for distribution sales channels to create focus and drive continuous improvement. Support service parts financial planning and monthly orders and shipments outlook. Achieve outlook for sales and margin goals. Partners with distribution partners to develop relevant, timely and successful sales plans, campaigns, programs, and special promotions to drive parts revenue growth.

  • Drive Strategic Channel Management: Managers joint partner planning processes, developing mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. Effectively manage the service parts distribution network to influence part demand and support business growth with a focus in marketing, training, and product specification. Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis. Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet partners' performance objectives and expectations.   • Provide a positive customer service experience for Hobart Parts distribution partners: Develop and nurture relationships with distribution partners and key customers, establishing productive, professional relationships with key personnel. Ensure appropriate resources are available to provide world-class support to distribution partners, aligning with changing requirements and market trends. Develop, recommend, and implement process and system enhancements designed to streamline distribution performance and capability with focus on continuous improvement.

  • Develop and Maintain Distribution Market and Industry Analysis: Support research initiatives to better understand parts competitiveness, market share, and distributor/dealer performance helping to influence development of future products and services and business growth. Effectively research market and industry trends providing critical intelligence for strategic planning. Support the development of a Total Market Potential Model to understand overall market size and available -white space- to grow parts sales within the distribution channel. The Service Manager will provide support to the District Manager and will be required to assume advanced responsibilities in support of the branch and its daily operations. This position will provide support in the terms of the overall branch and individual service technicians by providing coaching and training on commercial food equipment, procedures, and techniques as well as customer facing skillsets.

The Service Manager will also be required to support and enforce all company policies and guidelines required by Hobart Service and assist the District Manager in the adherence and tracking of these policies. The Service Manager is accountable for assisting in leading and directing their assigned branch operations to achieve ongoing service revenue growth, profitability, productivity, quality, and service levels.

This position will be responsible for assisting the management and administration of general business operations for their branch. This position provides strategic leadership as well as the day to day management of a team of Field Service Technicians and lower-level supervisory staff (where applicable).

Responsibilities include developing, maintaining and managing a highly technical field service team. Our Field Service Technicians are accountable for customer commercial food service equipment installations, preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades and updates, sales support for new systems, establishing and growing customer relationships, and creating and implementing a strategy focused on achieving/exceeding financial and customer satisfaction results. In addition, this position is responsible for continued employee development and increasing employee retention and engagement levels. Manage regular maintenance for service vehicles.

  • High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of relevant experience, including supervision OR 1-3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree

  • Experience effectively managing customer relations dealing directly with customers

  • Ability to effectively demonstrate productivity tools, i.e. Microsoft Office

  • Achieve targets and goals with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication skills verbal and written

  • Electrical and mechanical service experience

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years demonstrated proficiency in a field service role

  • Ability to understand financial information such as margins, labor cost, mark-ups and expense control

  • Working knowledge of Branch operating systems

  • Customer Relations Management /Sales experience

  • Associates degree or prior Hobart Service supervisory experience

  • You will work with customers to electrically/mechanically troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial food equipment to include cooking, food preparation, ware washers, weigh wrap, baking and refrigeration.

  • You will typically leave from home each morning and work with minimal direct supervision at customer sites.

  • You will meet or surpass weekly productivity and customer-oriented goals while maintaining a high level of customer service.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • An accredited High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience

  • Refrigeration Experience Preferred but not required

  • You must have a valid Driver's License and ability to drive multiple hours daily

  • You should be able to work Overtime and On-Call as required

  • You must be able to attend our industry leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH
