Job Description

What We're Looking For

It is an exciting time to join HNTB's aviation planning practice! We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with excellent analytical and communication skills and a passion for aviation to help deliver our large portfolio of aviation planning projects at the nation's largest and most exciting airports. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in aviation and have experience in one or more of the following aviation planning disciplines: landside, terminal, airside, economics, or environmental. The position will be located in one of our primary aviation planning offices in Oakland, CA; Minneapolis, MN; Arlington, VA; Boston, MA; or Portland, ME.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Conducts field surveys, investigations, and collects data in support of airport planning studies.

  • Produces exhibits and presentations.

  • Conducts independent and group research as needed.

  • Performs capacity analyses for airport facilities.

  • Prepares a wide array of AutoCAD and ArcGIS drawings.

  • Develops narrative reports for airport planning studies.

  • Programs, calibrates, and runs simulation models.

  • Highly responsive to client requests.

  • Assists with the preparation of stakeholder and public presentations,

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Aviation Management, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field and 2-3 years of experience.

  • Passionate about the aviation industry.

  • Strong understanding of the aviation industry.

  • Excellent graphic and analysis skills.

We are seeking candidates for a Design Build Transportation Engineer II, with demonstrated experience on fast-paced transportation infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for assisting in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. This position performs research, development, calculations, design, and delivery in partnership with the project team. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics

  • 4 years internal/external audit experience

  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of performance in internal and financial auditing.

  • Ability to understand, interpret, and apply complex regulations or procedures.

  • Ability to establish good working relationships with audit staff and agency personnel.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental and subsidiary operations, the adequacy of internal controls, verifies compliance with company policy/procedures, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Provides recommendations for improvement based on review
