What We're Looking For

The Senior Internal Auditor role is responsible for leading, performing, and completing audits of considerable complexity and difficulty. The Senior Auditor also coordinates, supervises, and conducts audit assignments. This may include leading audit teams and supervising the work of other professional staff on a project basis.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinates, supervises, and conducts audit assignments, reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental and subsidiary operations, the adequacy of internal controls, verifies compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements and provides recommendations for improvement based on review.

• Establishes audit objectives and develops audit program, including time estimates, plan of work and steps necessary to collect data and document findings. Uses a variety of data analysis techniques and innovative approaches to analyze agency performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Responsible for the development of audit findings and summaries; completes and monitors field work, completes and reviews work papers, conducts negotiations, resolves concerns, edits preliminary drafts and coordinates the preparation of the final audit report.

• Monitors work assignments to ensure timely completion and performance of detailed quality assurance reviews of work papers and report drafts to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and objectivity of audit reports, and consistency with auditing standards.

• Provides assistance to external auditors in coordinating year end audit activities and test work.

• Assist Audit Management in developing audit plan and to determine scope, objectives, and test plans.

• Assist in the documentation, testing, and remediation phases for the Sarbanes Oxley Readiness initiative.

• Stays current with internal audit standards, industry standards/ regulations, and best practices.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics

• 4 years internal/external audit experience

• Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of performance in internal and financial auditing.

• Ability to understand, interpret, and apply complex regulations or procedures.

• Ability to establish good working relationships with audit staff and agency personnel.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing.

Primary Focus Will Include:

• Site Manager Experience

• ACI Certification

• Level IB Asphalt Certification

• TXDOT pre-certified as Superintendent

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

• Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.

• Advises Contractor superintendent of necessary actions to ensure conformance with plan, specs, and contract. Reviews and resolves quantity disputes with contractor.

• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform sophisticated and complicated mathematical calculations, constructability and biddability reviews, and measurements of completed work to date.

• Reviews Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.

• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches

• May lead daily assignments, mentor, and train employees.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

• 9 years construction related experience.

• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Primary Focus Will Include:

• Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet project goals

• Ensure designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the project or client appropriately

• Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects

• Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions to improve graphic design capabilities

• Update and maintain internal databases of graphic designs, photography, and video

• Microsoft Office Suite experience and Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator experience are required.

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assists in the development and implementation of communication and outreach strategies to educate the public and stakeholders on infrastructure projects. This could include research, outreach strategies, and best practices.

• Conducts routine investigations and collects data needed for effective communications strategies and/or to fulfill federal regulatory outreach requirements, including environmental impact evaluations if applicable.

• Prepares and coordinates dissemination of outreach materials, facts and information on project messaging to stakeholders according to the public outreach plan including external agencies, associations, and news organizations using print, periodicals, radio, social and/or visual communication media.

• Tracks and maintains routine records and reports related to public involvement meetings, public hearings and outreach events.

• Drafts speeches, create and design presentation materials, and/or compose correspondence for use in mailings, meetings, or other public consumption.

• Responsible for initial fact checking for reports, articles, and other publications.

• May help coordinate community meetings, public forums, working groups and other public meetings including scheduling, determining location, advertising, and ensuring proper setup/tear down and relevant collateral materials according to client expectation and project goals and budget.

• May interact with clients to coordinate implementation of communication and outreach programs.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field

• In lieu of education 4 years of relevant experience
