This candidate will be working within the HNTB's Digital Innovations Solutions Group on the Community and Engagement Solutions Team. Comprised of geospatial system developers, planners and engagement experts, this team works with the most innovative geospatial applications in the transportation industry. The Community and Engagement Solutions Team implements and manages enterprise GIS solutions, applications, and analytic dashboards. This team works hand-in-hand with other HNTB digital solutions team members and experts to support innovative engagement solutions with a focus on equitable community outreach, urban mobility and transportation planning.
This is a mid-level position that will be working alongside team members in designing, developing, configuring, testing, implementing, and maintaining web applications/systems related to public engagement, equity analysis, and community and urban mobility. The right candidate will be able to work on and prioritize multiple projects at one time, as well as have skills in multiple technical environments.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Assists team members in identifying and organizing project needs and expectations
Utilizes a comprehensive knowledge of development languages and systems to work on complex projects involving software, database and system architecture design.
Develops modern web applications using advanced programming tools and languages, based on the project requirements document. Thoroughly tests and documents all work produced.
Provides user support and utilizes strong troubleshooting skills to solve complex technical problems with legacy applications or systems.
Develops user interfaces for web applications based on an understanding of data use and client needs.
Works on projects which require skills in multiple technical environments.
A willingness to learn new skills, tools, and platforms and to think outside of the box to deliver unique digital solutions.
Able to demonstrate a history of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to listen to the needs and requests of the team, clients, and project groups to enhance or build new applications to address those needs.

Experience developing solutions using C# and .NET Core.

Knowledge of best practices in web design and development.
Experience deploying cloud-based web applications with AWS and/or Azure.
