Job Description

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Linux systems administration, and a background in Big Data solutions, configuration management, automation, scripting, and AWS. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our services. Work is performed on customer site in Ft. Belvoir, VA 5 days a week.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Support development and deployment of infrastructure in AWS

  • Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services

  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary

  • Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance

  • Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications

  • Security Clearance - A current TS/SCI U.S. Government Security clearance and ability to obtain a polygraph is required; U.S. citizenship required. Can also consider candidates with a current Polygraph level clearance.

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred) and Bachelors in related field; or 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting

  • Proficient in configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet

  • Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure

  • Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management

  • Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as bash, Python, or Go

  • Familiarity with Git and other development tools such as deployment pipelines

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites

  • Must have a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (i.e. Security+ certification)

  • Must have a Computing Environment certification (AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, etc.)

  • Must be able to work on customer site in Ft. Belvoir, VA 5 days/week

In this role you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the Aegis Command Decision (C&D) and Aegis Display System (ADS) are operational and available.

This position can be based in either Chesapeake, VA, Washington, DC, or Cherry Hill, NJ.

What You Will Do

  • Report to the AWS Engineering Lead and ATO/ATM as directed.

  • Exercise responsibility for the C&D/ADS equipment suites (including ACEG equipment), setup configurations, equipment interfaces, proper activation and operation of C&D/ADS computing environment, configuration, data extraction requirements and interfaces, identification & resolution of system interface issues, assist with test conduct, analyze test results, support of CAPS and LIMS brief, and report findings.

  • Assess system installation and performance and report results in support of upcoming milestones; review of related drawings and documents (including test procedures), report findings and recommendations.

  • Provide support for crew preparations & training/trials, data collection, data analysis and fault isolation assistance as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Understand combat system (e.g. Aegis) specifications and the General Specification for Overhaul (GSO).

  • Report to the Senior Design Engineer/Integrator.

  • Determine the correct cable type required to support equipment being installed based on Aegis specifications and the GSO.

  • Identify the proper connectors and back shells for electrical/cabling.

  • Identify how cables shall be pinned internally.

  • Develop and provide the Cable Impact Statement and Cable Run Sheets to support delivery of the TDP.

  • Providing all required information to the Senior Design Engineer/Integrator to develop the Cable Block Diagram in the TDP.

  • Assign cable numbers to every cable and maintain Configuration Management of the cables.

  • Provide options and alternatives for cabling when required.

  • Provide Power Sourcing requirements to support delivery of the TDP.

  • Develop Power Point presentations as required.

  • Lead or participate in ship checks to accomplish cabling/electrical surveys to support TDP development.

  • Participate in meetings and phone conferences when required by the government sponsor.

  • Assist in the resolution of cabling issues occurring on the waterfront during equipment installations.

  • Assist Government Test Director/Lead in coordinating successful completion of all Combat Systems Test events

What You Must Have

  • Over two (2+) years direct experience in the engineering, installation and/or operation of the Aegis Combat System onboard US Navy ships or Aegis Ashore.

  • A demonstrated ability to work across the Navy/Marine Corps major stakeholder organizations and in particular an understanding of the relationships between NAVSEA, PEO IWS and the Fleet Commands is required to perform this role.

Who We Are

We are seeking a Ship Integration & Test (SI&T) SPY Radar Technician to join our team supporting the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities. As a SI&T SPY Radar Technician supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. This senior position will be tied to both Program Management and Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the AN/SPY Radar System is operable and available to support testing.

This position can be located in either Chesapeake, VA, Washington, DC, or Cherry Hill, NJ.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate with the AN/SPY Radar Systems Engineer for signal processor/antenna matters.

  • Assist in identifying, isolating and repairing processing, array, power and cooling equipment problems

  • Report to the Combat Systems O&M Manager and ATO/ATM when directed

  • Identify and resolve AN/SPY Radar System equipment and documentation discrepancies

  • Submit AN/SPY Radar System equipment status reports

  • Assist in the resolution of AN/SPY logistics issues

  • Review AN/SPY drawings, documents, and test procedures

  • Report recommendations for improvement or discrepancies noted

  • Ensure AN/SPY Radar equipment is activated, operational and properly configured to support each test event

  • Assist during test conduct

  • Assist shipyard and installation teams with equipment issues

  • Assist with collection and analysis of AN/SPY Radar performance data

  • Assist or perform government conducted tests on respective systems in port and at sea

  • Ensure Safe in-port radiation practices are followed

  • Assist crew familiarization and training

  • Assist in Combat System alignment efforts

  • Assess system installation and operation in support of upcoming ship and availability milestones

  • Lead or participate in ship checks to accomplish surveys of the Combat System spaces.

  • Develop Power Point presentations as required.

  • Participate in meetings and phone conferences when required by the government sponsor.

  • Assist in the resolution of Combat System space arrangement issues occurring on the waterfront during equipment installations.

  • Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.

  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives.

  • Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.

What You Must Have

  • Strongly prefer a Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field and 10+ years of experience as a SPY Radar Technician (or 15+ years of experience without a degree).

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger Navy and Marine Corps Sector.

  • A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.

  • US Citizenship is required.

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Communications Technician is responsible for administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server infrastructure used to support enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services for the NITE. The candidate will work in close coordination with other team members and departments to update, monitor and maintain client workstations. Essential Job Responsibilities

The SkillBridge intern will train as a Data Engineer with Enlighten, reporting to a designated Enlighten Supervisor, with the goal of learning Enlighten's approach to design, build, and optimize Big Data Platform (BDP) systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at scale. The intern will be assigned special projects as needed.

Desired End State (3-4 month target)

The Role

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. The Role

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

This will be with the Combat and Sonar Systems Group in E13. Candidate should have an interest in learning engineering/design processes relating to ship systems and the ability to interface intelligently with trades, management and the customer. Candidate should have an interest in developing a working knowledge of shipyard operations. Effective oral and written communication skills are important for this position. Technical submittals of design proposals, engineering calculations and analyses, drawing reviews, presentations, operating instructions, test procedures, work deferral requests, departure from specification requests, etc. Candidate may collaborate with other internal/external design and/or engineering personnel, including NAVSEA, Naval Shipyards, General Dynamics-Electric Boat, vendors, etc. On-site resolution of issues encountered during construction or overhaul is possible.

Must Have

Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

  • NNS Apprentice School graduate

  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate

  • High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Designer 4 to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing components or portions of systems and modifying existing designs to enhance or improve products. Your work will support our mission by developing new products and optimizing operations.

What You Will Do

  • Designs components or portions of electrical systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.

  • Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, CAM or CATIA.

  • Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal.

  • Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.

What You Must Have
