Job Description
Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge. Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assists in development of training procedures. Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans. Responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc. Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance. Supervises qualified trades staff; monitoring job and budget performance for all shifts.
Additional common management responsibilities as listed in Shipbuilding Management Charter 0001 within command media (SBMC 0001) and applicants should review the Charter and policies and procedures before applying for position.
Basic Qualifications
HS Diploma/GED and 6 years of production experience, with at least 2 years in production supervisory experience. Apprentice Graduate/AA Degree with at least 2 years of production supervisory experience

Job Description
Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as coating systems. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

The Role
Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
This position is intended for the E14 Auxiliary Components group in Department E14.
The incumbent will be responsible for serving under the E14 Subject Matter Expert and will be responsible for both design and construction support of the Virginia Class Mk21 Air Turbine Pump. The incumbent may also be called upon to assist more junior engineers within the Auxiliary Components group with analyses and assessments associated with other components under the group's cognizance, to include towed array systems, mooring & anchoring systems, trash disposal and countermeasure launcher systems.
In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for performing complex analyses, both using Finite Element Analysis techniques and first-principals analysis techniques, on components within the Air Turbine Pump manufactured by various vendors. The incumbent will also participate in Planning Yard design studies associated with various other Air Turbine Pump models, currently in Naval service.
This position regularly communicates with Navy technical warrant holders and In-Service Engineering Activities, Department Leads, Supply Chain, Engineers/Designers across Departments, and the waterfront via email, phone, and in person meetings.
The incumbent will utilize FEA software, DDAM, MathCAD, various 3-D modeling suites, SAP, PDM, i2, etc.

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience;

Experience interfacing with the vendor base and the waterfront is required. Experience with SUBSAFE Design Review requirements is strongly preferred. The Role

The Role
Applies electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components; and quality testing. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.
This position is intended for the Propulsion Plant Data Entry/Display Terminal (PP-DE/DT) team within the Control and Information Systems (CIS) section of Department E70 (Propulsion Plant Planning Yard). The team is responsible for lifecycle management of a commercial laptop system (the PP-DE/DT) used to support maintenance and operation of propulsion plant components and systems. This includes configuration management of all associated software (OS and combination of COTS and custom software applications) and hardware (laptop, accessories, and interface cables).
The position may be responsible for manual software (acceptance) testing, problem solving, technical writing, and other efforts associated with the PP-DE/DT's lifecycle management. This may include preparation and/or peer review of interdepartmental memos, liaison action request responses, testing documentation, process guides, etc. This position may occasionally communicate with the Navy, NNL, outside vendors, and frequently communicate with management/engineers across the PPPY and other NNS departments via email, phone, and meetings.

The Role

HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Comms and IT Specialist in support of a large Operations and Maintenance Contract within Mission Technologies. Position will be based at global Army training site in Fort Liberty, NC. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of IT and communication training materials and operational services, as well as evaluation and simulation exercises for TADSS.
Designs, documents, and facilitates instructional courses for equipment and software setup, installation, configuration, and maintenance for NET, ensuring up-to-date and effective training.
In support of TSC operations, the specialist will manage preventive maintenance schedules and accounting of TES and associated devices.
Additionally, the specialist will integrate and support MC systems such as CTIA and LVC-IA while coordinating the use of ISR capabilities and LVC-G tools to advance training objectives.
This role encompasses AAR, cybersecurity, and troubleshooting to maintain a high standard of readiness in support of mission objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Design, develop, test and maintain electronic communications systems for Army training ranges, including data networks, radio systems, microwave links, etc,
Provide technical leadership and oversight for communications projects and systems,
Analyze communications requirements and develop system architectures and designs,
Ensure communications systems meet all functional, performance, and security requirements, Integrate new communications technologies into existing range infrastructure,

Essential Job Responsibilities

- Provide cost, schedule and funding planning, reporting, monitoring and analysis support to Program Managers including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and development of time-phased budgets and schedules.
- Assists with project set up in compliance with contractual terms, conditions and requirements.
- Prepares program financial Estimates at Complete (EAC) and meet deadlines for submission requirements.
- Identify project risks and opportunities and provide analytical contribution in working resolution with PM, Contracts, Procurement and Finance/Accounting.
- Assist review and assessing all contract modifications. Assist the program management team of impacts as necessary.
- Perform analytical review and arithmetic checks of cost reporting documentation.
- Prepare accurate and complete variance analysis and reporting.
- Prepare financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs. Ensure contractual requirements are met and customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis on the contract as requested by PMO and others.
- Monitor funding status, providing reliable and timely notification of funding status by line item detail as required.
- Support accounts receivable as required during the billing processing. Monitor billing status and unbilled issues, working with Finance, Contracts, Accounting and PMO to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Assists in the preparation of subcontractor and vendor accruals as services/goods are received in accordance with GAAP and internal policies to ensure that the project's cost/commitment is accurately captured and reported internally and externally.
- Ensure program revenue and profit is recorded in compliance with the EAC.
- Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley, FAR and all company policies and procedures as they related to contract performance and financials.

HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a TDL Lead in support of a large Operations and Maintenance Contract within Mission Technologies. Positions will be based at global Army training site in Orlando, FL. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the management, direction, administration, quality assurance and leadership of the execution of an assigned TDL, including assigning tasks to contractor personnel, supervising ongoing technical efforts, and managing overall TDL performance.

HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Safety Specialist in support of a large Operations and Maintenance Contract within Mission Technologies. Position(s) will be based at global Army training site in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
The Safety Specialist assists in ensuring the integration of safety and health protocols into various project stages, contributing expertise on security measures, and maintaining alignment with regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the development of the Project Staffing Plan with respect to safety roles and drafting safety-related sections of the QMP.
Helps set and maintain safety performance targets in the QMP, identifying and mitigating transition risks within the Transition-In Plan and ensuring the clear communication of safety information during both Transition-In and Transition-Out.
Reporting safety and health data for input into the ISTS and working to help the update and maintain safety documentation in the library, ensuring accessibility and relevance of safety related data and material.
Minimum Qualifications
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
Preferred Requirements
Up to 14 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; Up to 12 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; Up to 9 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or 19 years relevant experience with High School or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
