Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Oceana Assistant Facility Security Officer as part of the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) contract. The candidate will support Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach VA and GSA Location in Norfolk VA by implementing the Contract Site Security Programs for classified materials, facilities, and equipment in accordance with DoD Directive 5220.22-M, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and COMSEC Material System (EKMS-1). The Assistant FSO will be responsible for all security-related matters at the contract site and coordinates Security requirements and schedules with QA/Safety, Security, and Contract Site Manager/supervisory personnel to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Position requires flexibility as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements. This opportunity resides with Live, Virtual, Constructive Solutions, a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

- Confers with supervisory personnel to support the development of procedures for compliance with company and Government security regulations and participates in the development and administration of range security programs.

- Provides qualified couriers to transport classified and unclassified materials and equipment.

- Processes all requests for visit requests.

- Participates in security inspections, identifies areas requiring improvement, and ensures all COMSEC and OPSEC requirements are met and maintained.

- Prepares security documentation, establishing procedures for handling, storing, safekeeping of records, destroying classified records and documents, for granting personnel and visitors access to classified records and materials, and visitor access to classified material or entry into restricted areas.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.

  • Possess three (3) years DoD security related experience

  • Must possess a Secret clearance

Preferred Requirements

  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License

  • COMSEC Material System (CMS)

  • Must have or be able to obtain DSS Industrial Security Curricula Certificate.

  • Requires operating application software, including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.

HII - Mission Technologies in Mountain View, CA is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Systems Administrator for the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). This position will be responsible for providing basic/advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users. Your primary focus will be on resolving complex hardware and software issues, documenting problems and solutions, and working with other IT team members to develop and implement solutions. The ISSO will work for the Cybersecurity Team Lead and the Information System Security Manager (ISSM). Work will be assigned based on available resources among the teammates, prioritization from the Air Force customer, and recurring deliverables based on contractual obligations and clearly assigned with deadlines. We are seeking a Ship Integration & Test (SI&T) Senior Installation Engineer joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities. In this role you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for combat systems installations ensuring that equipment is properly installed to support Combat System light-off and testing. You will document and provide design correction for discrepancies when discovered (and available).

This role can be located in either San Diego, CA, Norfolk, VA, Washington, DC, Chesapeake, VA or Cherry Hill, NJ. This role is contingent upon contract award.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor equipment installation and manage installation and cable design change documentation

  • Liaison between shipbuilder and Combat System Executive Agent for equipment installation issues and problem resolution

  • Work with Aegis Test Teams to resolve equipment and cable installation issues. Identify lessons learned

  • Resolve fiber optic repair issues and work with Cable Technicians to facilitate repair and test of fiber optic cables

  • Ensure all installation deficiency issues are identified and documented

  • Assist shipyard in resolution of equipment installation issues

  • Liaison with Government shock team to identify and resolve shock related issues

What You Must Have

  • Strongly prefer a Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in a relevant field and 10 years of experience as a Design Engineer/Integrator for large ships (or 15+ years of experience without a degree).

Job Description

Instucts all represented new hires, regardless of craft or level, on Ingalls' EH&S policies and procedures. Co-Facilitates the "ShipSafe" training course including the hands-on kinestetic training. Once trained/certified, will instruct firewatch and RCRA training courses among other duties.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of three years of journeyman experience as a crafts person or a graduate of the registered apprenticeship program.

Ability to train new hires on proper safety behavior and have an understanding of PPE requirements for multiple crafts.

Familiar with common safety policies and procedures at Ingalls Shipbuilding.

Must be willing to work any shift.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work under limited supervision, with little/no instructions needed on routine work.

Previous experience as a craft technical facilitator, instructor, OJT/OJM role or in an EH&S capacity.

Familiar with company reporting systems (i.e. timekeeping, command media, Outlook, etc).

Job Description

Guards, patrols, and polices industrial premises to protect property and personnel against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other hazards. Periodically tours premises; examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure; observes departing personnel to guard against thefts of company property; inspects equipment and stores to ascertain if tampering has occurred; reports irregularities; sounds alarm; and permits authorized persons to enter property. Examines credentials of persons desiring entrance to restricted areas. May be required to direct traffic on company premises. May use force of arms to carry out assignments as required and detain persons committing illegal acts. Required to certify to NRA standards on the firing range.

Basic Qualifications

High School diploma or GED and Four (4) years experience in Marine Security, Industrial Security, Military Security or experience in security or plant protection.

Preferred Qualifications

Ten years Active Duty or Reserve Military with active Secret (or higher) level Security Clearance.

Law Enforcement Officer with twelve years of experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or Emergency Management fields with four years of security/law enforcement/military experience (or mix of).

Mississippi Scholars Tech Master certification preferred.
